This retort reminds me how sad Dave Rubin is, as an actual gay man, to continually call Ben a close friend despite the fact Ben does not support him being gay in any way, & as this tweet shows, attempts to mock someone w/ it over a valid concern.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. As long as little Ben opposes certain things, Rubin is willing to overlook others.

Rubin is one hell of a... c-word I suppose (not sure if it's appropriate for the AUP). Man announced he was expecting two kids w/ his partner & surprise Pikachu, the base he panders to did not approve & said horrendous things about him being a parent. And he still stands by that base.

They're, uh...they're not a principled bunch.

If the word to which you're referring is the one that I think it is (vulgar slang for female genitalia, often used as a pejorative), then the forum censors it. The forum may not censor all words deemed inappropriate (context is also likely to be important here), but you can see if it does by using the post preview feature at the top right of the post composition menu.

Nah, I was implying the word that ends in "k". It doesn't hit as hard as that word, but I was kinda iffy on if the AUP is fond of that word. I don't think Rubin is the other c-word for letting his base berate him for being a gay parent. He's had some other political views it would probably apply, though.

I think that one may be more contextually prohibited, which is to say using it as an attack on individuals in this discussion forum won't be tolerated. It's a derivative of cuckold, which isn't profane in the traditional sense. I've used it here without rebuke from the staff, and I've seen it used by others. Of course I don't mean to speak out of turn regarding its appropriateness, and I'll refrain from use in the future if it's deemed inappropriate.

As far as I'm concerned, the guy can do whatever he likes with a consensual, adult partner. The issue I have is that he's been running on a platform that rails against exactly this sort of behavior.

You can probably use one of @TexRex 's favorite metaphors to describe the hypocrisy. And it fits.

EDIT: That wasn't the one I was thinking of but it fits too. :lol:
