Normally you would open the settings menu and select the tires you want on, but he never did that. Let's see if someone who speaks German can clarify on that.
This is good news! but it raises a question: why was the box occupied? Occupied by whom? This does not seem to be a career race so you should not have a team mate, should you? or is this a work around SMS uses when the pits are full? The message to the left says "Box occupied atm". He should have hit the Request Pit Stop button, then he would've got this message before wasting time driving through the pits.

Humm, yes ther is. Each car at LeMans have ther own pit box. Ther are 56 garages in the pit lane for 56 cars.Le Mans doesn't have 56 pit boxes IRL either. If you're driving there with a full grid you have share it with other cars.

Well, then ignore my post please.
Then it could be some kind of space limitation ingame. The latest I could find that 53 pit places were assigend to Le Mans. So could be an unfortunate incident that he grabbed one of the three garages that are shared.
Or it simply was a bug.
Sorry if this is the wrong thread.
This one bugs me. It's a 4 cylinder irl but in game sounds like a 3/6 cylinder
(Sorry to moan about sound again, it's just very important to me)
well, I guess we will have to go hands on and find out...just in case, press that pit box button as soon as you think you will be pitting...Or it is like in F1, each car has their own box but share a pit stop team
Whatever mate, it still sounds pretty good!!
Watch this video, (after the crappy music) they sound similar to me!

Nah. Different cylinder number, different sound.
The way I've explained it before is that it's like buying an album and then playing it only to hear a completely different artist singing.
It irritates me beyond belief.
Literally by seconds. Unfortunateninja'd

The fact that it sounds like a 3/6 cylinder in PCARSWhere do you get this "different cylinder number" from?
Kinda inaccurate but at least pleasant to the ear - which let's be honest is more important than accuracy. (see GT6)
When you have the ability to create pleasant 4 cylinder sound you're in better position than when you can't create ANY pleasant sounds at all.
All it takes is for you to tweak what you have.
I'll have to admit though - I don't like how few cars sound in PC.
Like the Huayra below - to me this sounds very artificial and you can hear how the samples are "glued" together. Might be this car in particular because I don't recall noticing this in other videos/cars.
It also lacks the brake noise present in Assetto Corsa.

Here's a video from ChilliSteak from a week ago, same car, same track, and the car looks very driveable to me!! Making mountains out of molehills my friend!

Do you think it belongs there? It isn't exactly a bug so idk
If you think the sound is off it's an error IMO. Bugs, glitches and errors, we got em' all. You might want to wait until the game is out and hear it on your own system rather than YT's compressed, stereo sample, but I have a feeling the BG&E thread is going get pretty busyDo you think it belongs there?
