Yeah that didn't look good looked like he went in to the pits and his pit box was full so he had to drive straight through

Normally you would open the settings menu and select the tires you want on, but he never did that. Let's see if someone who speaks German can clarify on that.

That seems to be a bad design decision. I realize that in some motorsport, teams share pits but that should not happen in a game.

Basically just ruins your race right there.
if this is a technical issue, this is one of those deal breaks. F1 games from codemasters were plagued with pitstop issues.

They need to patch in stacking in the pit lane if it's possible to do so as if your behind your teammate you'll lose a massive amount of time especially at Le Mans or the ring !

And if this affects career it could be even more important to introduce 'stacking' in a patch, if the weather is 'scripted' as reported!

A few fixes required after release , flag system , pitstops , maybe Ai scaling in lower tiers but hopefully it all gets sorted . Does anyone know what is going to be included in the day 1 patch ?

Fingers crossed, but who knows?? Another question.... Is a mid race save feature available for longer races?

Didn't watch the video. However, there's a button to call for the pitstop, which you're supposed to press to request pit. Did he press it or just went into pits directly?

Flags fixes and improvements are not included yet. In terms of scaling, looks like its actually a small penalty, based on the Trux's testing yesterday and a few others on the WMD forums (maybe about 0.5 sec slower than QRW). Looks like AI is just slow on some tracks/cars, which is a separate issue and will not be solved for now as it requires AI racing line and speed tweaks.

Day 1 patch will include some performance fixes and some other minor bug fixes AFAIK.

By button do you mean that box on the left hand side of the screen which pops us when you get into the pits?? if it is, no he didn't.

Well PS4 has play and rejoin were you left off. In the last month update. Sleep mode I think will have to look again.

That's true mate.... But will it just save the game mid race? Or will you automatically be retired by the game when you resume?

Button on controller/wheel. Box will pop up and engineer will tell you they are preparing for you.
nope, he simply drove into the pits. Could this be the reason? let's say the pits are pretty busy with a lot of cars stopping at the same time, would the player's car just drive through the pits?

The new feature i take its like 'pause' when you switch back on PS4 from rest mode it will take you back were you left off.

  • Suspend/Resume* — Supported by nearly all of your PS4 games, you can jump in and out of your games with just the press of the PS button. Quickly switch from Rest Mode to powered-up so you can pick up where you left off.
But SMS have to have Project Cars supported for this to work.

Thanks for explaining mate. I knew about this from the 2.50 update i think it was, but not the details. Can someone confirm if the game supports the Suspend/Resume feature?

Hold on a minute, stacking is something that happens in real life, not a glitch. If you don't want it to happen, make sure that you've confirmed your stop with the pitcrew, or simply be ahead of your teammate on track.

it's a good thing but not always reliable when I use it. for example a couple of times after I've suspended Driveclub I've gone back to a race and both times my wheel had no vibration. had to close the game and reboot twice to sort it out. had Bloodborne boots too. I wouldn't think it's going to be 100% reliable all the time and if it goes wrong 17hrs into a 24hr race... well, I forsee much anger. a game save would be a much better thing.

Except that there is no stacking. Unless you call stacking just driving through pit lane to the other side when someone is in your pit box.

Actually, good point. I guess my reaction was more to the idea that mistakes in the pits or poor strategy, etc, shouldn't be a part of the game.

Yes, button
