I dunno how I did it, because I didn't.

This is by far the hardest. Worse than MC20 at Bathurst hard.

This TT can suck it. If I lose my year-long gold streak from this then PD and P1 are on my naughty list for 2024. This combo is infuriating.

Are you guys using the handbrake anywhere else besides the hairpin type T5?

Tickle of handbrake (and I mean a tap) on the second left of the double left hander, just to get the rotation. Hoping Shooter doesn't have another 3 tenths in their locker so I can get back onto La Sarthe.

After I saw what is the new TT, I went straight back to LeMans, having done only 2 short sessions, I sat at 3:27.8xx.

Gave the Nissan couple of laps this morning, got it down to 3:27.1xx, and right out of nowhere, I did a 3:26.2xx which I masterfully invalidated by a milimetre in the last chicane, so I knew the 25s were possible.

And after the first proper evening session, goal was not achieved but I'm very close, just need to find the time in the next couple of days to do another 2-3 hours and I think I'm there :)

Pffff...... this even took me some miles to gold on Nokia setup on the first try, this was the hardest in a while for me, some room left.
But it was all I was scared for, was better if it were a bit oversteery.
Long lefthander before the laast chicane is an absolute nightmare on the pad...

Got into the 46' though, not to Shaabbyy

On a pad?! I spent 2 hours on my wheel trying and couldn't clinch this. You're a different kinda specimen for this.

Show off 😛

ok....fine...I was kidding....

Anyway....I never like this track or any type of rally cross track. To me, they are just so unflowing. If it is a regular rally track we have, I might give it a go (remember Lake Louise? That was tough but I went for it).

I guess different folks different strokes. I enjoyed the LeMans TT even it was pretty tough. I somehow get into a zone when driving that track. But for this one....nope_not_here.....

This new rally TT with the Yaris does not behave liek rally car, the new physics ar etoo understeery to porperly handbrake trun the car at Catalunya Rallycross track, if this was a proper rally game (cough cough*), going sideways would work very well and drifting all the way.

Pass on this nonsense. Having to back up every lap for that last couple tenths (or apparently in this case, much needed tenths) gives one an entirely new perspective on the stupidity of invalidating the next lap 3 turns away where it has no bearing whatsoever. The game appears to be "Whatever we can do to disrupt the player's rhythm, stall improvement and discourage use", not "We want to encourage the player to improve and enjoy their overall experience". Hard Earned Top 1000 streak ends at 12, I'm not doing this one. :grumpy:

I understand your sentiment, but you don't actually have to back up to start each lap. If you drive to that section behind the line and just rip a 90degree turn in 1st gear and quickly switch to second, it's just as quick. Not as tedious and you can choose to bail out of a slow lap to start another quite smoothly that way.

Not sure if I'll bother with the new TT. After having learned the course through various weekly challenges, I found out I absolutely suck around there. Not enjoyable for me at all. So, while most everyone else is thrashing about there, I decided to go back to LeMans instead. A (mostly) error free lap for once! :dopey: And it showed with a gain of half a second. Note I did have a 27.1 invalidated earlier in the session after barely touching the gravel in the Dunlop Chicane. I'll take it, though.

I was definitely not expecting this for the next time trial and my goodness this was not fun on a controller. Still even with a controller which I've heard has a big disadvantage in this combo, I manage a low 46 time with a potential 46.3 which was invalidated due to the track limit at around the end. I'm not sure if I want to continue to grind this one to get a maybe 46.2 or just leave it but I'll give some more attempts tomorrow and decide then.

Well that was a disaster. I thought I'd never hate a track more than I already did but this takes the cake. I mean, I don't like doing the VGT TT's but even those I can make a bronze. This one is frustrating and best was 2 ticks off bronze!! I'm out and will just spectate all your times and enjoy tomorrow's Weeklies. Enjoy all!

I’m having my third session at Le Mans. I can’t believe there’s two seconds between P1 and P10 on the leaderboard. That’s insane.

I spent two hours getting nowhere in my pursuit to take .46% of my time but then something clicked and I took half a second off my time. Getting closer but the last .4s I need is proving very hard.

I have now managed to get my optimal time into gold, so there is hope.

However, the consistency is my downfall. If I could get consistent sectors, then gold might be easier, but it seems so random on this track as to whether one part is good versus one part is poor.

I’m taking a short break before my next stint. However, if I don’t get it tonight, I may call it quits on this one.

I did it!!!! And by the narrowest of margins.

0.007s!!!!

I’d just changed my oil after several laps in the low 29s I wondered and sure enough my oil was normal after my earlier session. It seems that made the difference.

Now can I kindly request that K. de Bruin not try to extend his mammoth lead any more.

I had another go with the Yaris this morning, I did have a green one from the lake Louise trail so went for it to set a green time on the board, first few laps i actually didn't hit a thing, more like, hitting all things, scraping walls, hitting concreet to a dead stop and invalidate every single lap..
Then noticed that some corners just need patience, the extreme left to get on the "backstraight" needs a lot of love, and noticed i could get fairly close to the Ghost by not sliding, just rotate on patience and floor it when almost hitting the barrier and ran a high .7xx
then started to play a little with the handbrake what seems to be working just fine there, but the real time is made on the last chicane, that's were my time lies, was descent on this lap though

Must admit, i used the Run-wide-starting-lap-entry-cheat......, no reverse for me, just a VERY wide line :lol::lol:

Fun little challenge, optimals i don't know but there is still time to find, not much though.

But come on 82 @2%......... is just not that motivational, and getting a bit frustrating these latest timetrials, is the top just getting faster?, the gap is just insane

Screenshot from the actual lap, you realy have to get close to it to get your lines right, but man i scraped some this morning :lol:

Last turn seems a bit odd, and a lot of time the car just bonks down and dies on me loosing all momentum, and it's hard to get consistent if you have to restart the lap everytime.

I'll enjoy this while it last, shouldn't be to long :lol:
