Whoa bad AI in this track... After each overtake they rammed into the driver for no reason at half of the turn >_> Also very chicken when in close pack/race start.
why you always so negative with my videos? you constantly criticise the small detail. Most of those were caused by me as i was having to relearn car and track.

Not my intention honestly. I like the video, it's just that you guys have made my expectation very high... Also when you drafted and passed a car and the car crashes into you it's not your driving fault.

They are fine tuning the avoidance and agression during overtaking at the moment, as a result that kind of behaviour is to be expected.

PS: And "Whoa, bad AI" is a bit much, still. What would you call GT AI then..? ;)
Way way badder :D But gt6 is old, on old console and based over an even older game (gt5)... PCars is the future on next generation machines, i expect much from it, mainly from what i heard from you guys.

To be honest my expectation were really lower before starting to follow this forum :D

I hope PCars to be great and a great success; i got a ps4 just for it and i got early because of march release date...

This just to say how much sold i am to it, but if i see something i do not like or concerns me i can't help but say and ask about it.

In any case i'll race 99% of the time online :D

I love the UI, i have to turn everything off in GT6 because it's all too big and distracting. PCars is brilliant, all the information you need in tiny sized boxes. Love it

And it comes in a few variations, so you can show more information in the hud when tuning/testing and less when racing. All at a button press.
With the working / interactive dash displays you can turn the hud off and race in the helmet cam and still have all the information. I find I rarely have the hud on.

I bought a tablet just for this. It's just a great feeling having a perfectly clean screen with no "videogame" stuff on it, yet still having all the information at your fingertips:tup:

About that video with the slalom start, I gotta say again how much I absolutely love the onboard camera, it's like a TV broadcast. Small details and features like this make Slightly Mad the best racing games studio in the world.

Indeed, I was fooled at first and thought it was real footage to be honest. Then I saw the cursor at the very beginning of the video when watching it again :D

Something's not right in that last video. Even with the AI at 80% the game looks too easy, especially the first few laps. The AI was not one of the Shift games' strong features either, so I am a little concerned about this. In every racing game I play I always set the AI at the highest level because I want a challenge. Someone please tell me that Project CARS is or can be very difficult.

As I see it the problem is traffic, the AI are clumsy in packs and run into each other all the time. Once he settles into 15th place or so he only passes another 7 or 8 cars the rest of the race, which is about what I'd expect at 80% AI.

Codemasters is laying of a bunch of people. They should hire/steal away their AI guys:D

8 laps on 80% and 8th is the max he can finish, on GT and Forza I would have cleared the whole field in a lap, Alex is a pretty capable driver aswell

Is overtaking under yellow flags punished ? I've noticed in some videos it doesn't seem to be , also is ignoring blue flags punished ?

Seriously? Where you hear that? That sounds bad.
