(can anybody confirm that inline animated GIFs is a no-no on GTP?)

It doesn't seem to work :/

Another super smooth driving effort:tup:

I have a question. Your YouTube videos always seem to play super smooth for me which isn't always the case with other videos. Do you do anything differently when you upload? (I don't know anything about uploading to Youtube, did it a couple of times just be pressing buttons:scared:)

There is nothing special... If you use an browser which supports 60fps thats what it will look like... But sometimes Iam not that happy with the results because in some games the replay does not look like 60fps even when you have rockstable 60fps... Like microstuttering or something... Its weird :D

Hi
Comparative Project CARS Vs Real in the Road America circuit where you can appreciate the high quality of this game, hope you like it;)

greeting

Hi guys! seeing that video I've thought... The level of realism in Project CARS is gorgeus, but... Why SMS made the asphalt so much darker than the real one? The real seems to be lighter, almost white/beige some times..

Don't you think that it could be more realistic if they "paint" it lighter??

Was fixed today, in the build tomorrow.

It won't be in the next build, but probably in friday's build.

And that's how it's done:tup:👍👍

I always played Forza and GT because of the amount of different cars and the tuning with parts, setups für the different classes and the awesome livery editor in forza... What can u do in PCars ?? You can build your own setup and thats it... It has not many cars either... Even Shift 2 had alot more cars lol

For me Forza and GT are in their own unnamed genre...

You can tune cars and that's it. If you are on PC you can make liveries. Tuning is also limited to what you would find on the car in the real world, so you won't be setting up the LSD on a street BMW for example, you'll get what the car came with. Tires will also be limited to real tire compounds that were/are available for the car. An 80's car will come with 80's tires and all that entails, you won't be slapping racing tires on street cars etc.

It sounds cliche' but it's true, PCars is a sim, it simulates reality as close as it can. Forza and GT are simcade in my opinion, incorporating some arcade-like options (F1 qualifying slicks on a Vitz anyone?) with some aspects of simulation. You have to go with whichever makes you happy of course, I find there is room for all kinds of driving games in my arsenal and I enjoy them all. There's certainly room for a PCars and a Forza/GT in anyone's racing library.

Ya you can paint on pc with photopshop ect... I know but not on consoles...

I also play all the racing sims and games... I only want to say that i dont understand why people compare PCars with GT or Forza... Makes no sense for me...

I'm counting on that. Some cars that I disliked got better ones, like the RWD P30, the Formula A...
I think the p30 might be getting another new sample ,I've recently realised the current one is from a 3 rotor rx8 that was in shift 2.

Nice rain footage

They're going to get compared because they will be on console and offer the more realistic physics than the average racing/driving game.

Rain footage looks great, sound is great too. For truly amazing rain effects from cockpit view you need to check out Driveclub though. Seriously! I was blown away. PCars needs to catch up in that regard.

Check this link if you want to look. Pay close attention to G force on rain droplets. Very good. Adds a lot to immersion www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-tBACrQ8rI
That's the first footage I've ever seen of Driveclub - Wow. Those rain effects were very impressive.
