I don't see myself getting a Vita just yet, as for rignt now only 2-3 games interest me, that and the fact that I've learned my lesson long ago from getting launch hardware. I'll give it some time before I pull my wallet.

Lain:
interface yes, i like the xmb design way better, this looks childish imho

The content manager is a joke, clearly. I don't get it why not use the Media Go. I can't download half of my psp games to the vita because of the content manager. I'm stuck with them on the PC.

Other than that I love it, been playing soo much Uncharted. Fabulous!

Also Sony should really look after the Ps+ members. Half of my minis won't work on the Vita. they work on the psp, ps3,...
There is still some work left for Sony, but as a launch console it is a pretty piece of hardware

What PSP do you have? How many games bought (UMD or digital)

It is worth if you into gaming, and normally you should have no problem getting all your psp games on the vita via the ps3.
I have a problem with 3 games that where given with the pspgo. The ones i bought myself work perfectly.

Screen mcuh better than on the PSP, no gosthing in GT while drifting ;)

Games are really good (most of them).

Dual stick is so needed for FPS

It has it's little flaws, like mentioned above, but interface is subjective and taste based,
And content, you don't need it, you won't shoot photos with the PSV, or listen to music,
there are better possibilities for those activities.

Not happy, just learned that Gravity Rush will be released June 12th in NA. The problem? I leave for Mallorca the week before and hoped to have it for my transatlantic flight. I guess I could download it but I like to have hard copies. Oh well, it still looks like the first must have for Vita IMO.

I am loving my Vita. I do not feel the menu is childish but it does give it it's own identity even if things are all over the place. There should be an option to pull an app list and make the index more the home screen with an app list from there.

I noticed while playing in total darkness there are black artifacts on the screen. It looks terrible but it's unaffected while colors are present. And not noticeable in any kind of light.

Content manager is pretty bad and very limited. There s no file manager and too much needs to be connected.

Yes, I have noticed this too. Apparently this is a "common" OLED characteristic. Odd considering I've never had this on 2 different phones I've had with the same display technology.

Also this. I think it maybe part of one of the original design plans Sony had for the console - less piracy. It's why they adopted the new memory card format too.

I noticed the artifacts on the screen too... it looks almost like spotches of the screen aren't lit as brightly as other areas. Hardly anything to be concerned about though... it's only noticeable in certain rare instances and won't get in the way of your gaming.

That being said, I've never noticed this phenomenon on the OLED screen of the Zune HD I used to have.

Bought one four days ago and loved it ever since. Price tag isn't so bad at all. The screen has a very high contrast OLED screen that makes it look like a miniature version of a LED tv. Brilliant graphics that is comparable with the PS3.

Definitely a must buy for people who loves gaming or high-end mobile devices.

First Vita game that I bought is Uncharted Golden Abyss. :)

^ How much did you get it for?
I see it as a money pit, Sony exclusive memory cards being over priced are like a stealth tax lol.

I'm thinking of getting one after the inevitable price drop.

My system came with a memory card. No money pit here.
I would think having a game that sparked your interest would be better than waiting for a price drop. Say its 2014 and they drop the price. Now what do you start with lol.

Absolutely loving my vita. It has been a bit of a money pit, to be honest, but only because I've loved the games so much that I keep convincing myself they are worth the money! I'm very happy with all the games I've bought.

Anyone else suspect that PD may be keeping quiet about developing a vita GT game - having learnt not to announce titles too soon? Am I being too optimistic?!

I would have liked to see Sony hand over the Vita version out GT to another development team so there are No excuses for the game. I would love to see a mobile version that's unique designed for mobile gaming. But I love my Vita too. I just took advantage of amazon's buy 1 get one free two weeks ago. But I hate the cards...... no install option.

I WILL be getting the pinball game that comes out April 10th. You get the PS3 version free with it :D.

Isn't wipeout cross play?

Any new games coming out. I don't see much about vita on gaming sites. Loads of launch games then not a lot.

Any cross-play games yet?

Hustle Kings, Wipeout and just announced Street Fighter X Tekken are the only to with online play I think.

Spagetti There isn't much. Makes you wonder how Sony lets this happen. They should at least have some cheap causal games released weekly. I hate using my phone for quick fix gaming while I'm away. A pinball game is coming out today and another in a few weeks. I play more PSP games on Vita, not bad but mostly quick play games.

This might not sound popular with people who paid full price at launch but they need a price drop to shift some units. I fear third party support may be wary of jumping in at this moment in time.

If it helps I bought a 3ds at launch duh. The opposite was true then. No software at launch but has picked up quite considerably since.
Price drop helped there too.

Something like 20 odd games released on launch and its been just over a month and not enough games coming out? How much do you play games to run out of games after a month or so?

I bought Motorstorm RC on launch, then Wipeout as the free download for the 3G version of the Vita, and also received Uncharted for free for pre-ordering. I am just finishing up Uncharted now. Have beaten Motorstorm RC but will go back with the 2 extra packs of DLC. Wipeout I have beaten the single player campaign but that's only half the game so will be heading back to that one also.

When I get through them, then there's Unit 13 which I enjoyed the demo of. I know I've got a good few months of gaming on the Vita with just those 4 games. Resistance Burning Skies is out just before E3 as well

Who said I was complaining or run out of games to play? I was responding to Spagetti :). I'm happy with what I have for now but the release schedule thru September isnt looking great.

For me its not how many games, its the type of games. Like I said I like quick time killers some times. I got that on my phone but would rather have it on Vita.

I've been loving my Vita since launch day. Between Uncharted, ModNation, Hot Shots, Plants Vs. Zombies and Escape Plan I've had more than enough games to satisfy me. I just picked this gem up a few days ago...

As someone who has never played a Disgaea game I'm in love. I've always loved tactical RPG's like Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre but never played Disgaea but man am I glad I picked this game up. I've played about 6 hours so far and have loved every second and from what I've read I can expect 100's of hours of game time if I want to do everything. Highly recommended from me.

I am eagerly awaiting May 10th, for the reveal of Soul Sacrifice. Concept art looks really interesting. Could be another Souls game or possibly something completely new from Sony, perhaps their own Monster Hunter game. Either way I'm keeping an eye out for this one.

This thing is struggling in Japan at the moment.
I think a big title announcement is needed at E3. Hate to see it suffer. Sony have put a bit of heart and souls into this one.

Soul Sacrifice will be huge in Japan. It will be the system seller they desperately need.

I honestly have no concerns about how its doing in a land I do not live in. Japan has had so many Vita game announcements already with more to be revealed. An American Trade show isn't going to do anything for Japan outside of a new Gran Turismo. Almost every Japanese announcement has not reveal a US. version. Soul Sacrifice could be another one.

I do plan on getting Resistance Burning Skies. I am looking forward to Soul Sacrifice to see what it is and when/if it gets a US version. E3 could have a lot to keep people interested.

Soul Sacrifice was revealed today and looks really good in my opinion. Probably the game needed to boost Vita sales in Japan.

Seems like Monster Hunter/Demon Souls combo but closer to Monster Hunter in the action. It is a little confusing to figure out what's going on but once the boss appears it really looks awesome. 4 player co-op will probably be a lot of fun and the way to play the game. I think I read 4th quarter release, probably for Japan, so we will see when it is released worldwide.👍
