I was hoping for a whole new game on the Vita. Killzone 3 was shown running on remote play.

Seems a lot of ports and old stuff at the moment.
Game prices generally more than what I would expect to pay on a home console plus the great memory card scandal is putting major doubts as to wether I jump onboard yet.

That's why I think ( for me at least ) E3 is a major influence if I'm adopting.

Nothing really jumps out at me. Maybe I'm just better off no bothering lol.

Fingers crossed for the following games to show up at next months E3 2012:

- GT Vita
- RPG Vita
- Uncharted Gold abyss sequel
- more cross-play games, eg. Uncharted 1,2 3 on the go for the PS Vita

Sony has chosen not to reveal its PS Vita sales figures yesterday probably because they are worried about its poor sales, also PS3 sales have fallen this year.

Things don't look good at the moment for Sony. The Vita, its games and memory are pretty pricey for what are mostly 'copy and paste' PS3 titles.

1.8million PS VITA units?

What he said, 1.8 million worldwide and 600,000 since last update.

Edit: First time seeing that Soul Sacrifice trailer, man that game looks awesome. I can't wait to see more of it. And yes, I'm also hoping for a GT Vita announcement at E3.

Yup.👍

I'm sure it's retailers but isn't that what most of the companies report? Either way Sony got paid and they will continue to sell so they don't really care.

Why's that? Are you surprised that a company likes to make money? If it's sold to retailers then that means they sent out 600,000 to replace launch units, and all of those will sell and be replaced soon too. That's the only time Sony makes money on the hardware, when retailers order it.

Personally, I don't really care about the numbers as long a they keep giving me original games like Gravity Rush and Soul Sacrifice. Plus I think some heavy hitters will be announced at E3.

No I'm surprised that there not bothered if Retailers or consumers buy them.

Consumers are more likely to purchase Apps and software and memory cards along with their vita.

Actually why am I surprised.

I said they don't care, but that's not a quote from Sony or anything.
Obviously they want the product to move off the shelves, what I really meant is if they report shipped numbers it's because technically that is how many they moved. Hardware is so dynamic anyways, I imagine it's constantly being moved in and out, unlike some games that report 1 million shipped but you know they will barely sell half of that retailers won't order more.

Resistance burning skies is currently getting generally unfavourable reviews.

Looks like a turd. Be warned fellow gamers.

I was interested until I saw the reviews, still haven't decided if I will get the vita

Well to be fair it's getting mixed reviews. Better to try before you buy I think.

General comments say it feels rushed.
Developers finding there feet I think.

There is a ghost recon final battle or something like that planned for release.
If its a turn based strategy I'll be in. Should here more at E3.

I just played the demo for about 15 minutes and I can say the game is not a turd. It isn't amazing either but it is a good solid game from what I could tell. I would pick it up if I wasn't trying to save every penny for my vacation next week plus Gravity Rush. It doesn't have the best graphics, but the game play is fine. Controls feel tight to me, and it is awesome to finally play a shooter with a second stick. I didn't like tagging with the touch screen but using it for grenades was fine. Overall, if you are a FPS fan or looking for a game check the demo out for yourself and ignore some of those reviews.

I also downloaded the Gravity Rush demo and will check that out tomorrow, as well as Killzone Liberation and LBP PSP. I got those free after the PSN outage and haven't tried either of them yet.:)

Youtube announced for the PS VITA!!

Finally I've been waiting for this!

Link:http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/05/31/youtube-coming-soon-to-ps-vita/

Hi everyone! PS Vita was developed with the idea of creating and delivering compelling content for gamers. With the recent announcements of applications such as nico nico, Treasure Park, Wake-up Club, and Skype, we’re continuing to build out PS Vita’s portfolio of applications. Today, we’re very excited to announce the latest application addition to PS Vita – YouTube!
Coming at the end of June, YouTube will be available as a free downloadable application for PS Vita via the PS Vita Store. With the YouTube application on PS Vita, you can watch millions of YouTube videos on the stunning 5” OLED screen, from comedy to gaming tips to today’s viral trends. The YouTube application features many of the functions you’re already familiar with – you can easily search for videos, choose favorites and make comments, and your personal YouTube account is available right on your PS Vita.
As we move further into 2012, we look forward to introducing you to more unique, social and immersive experiences only available on PS Vita. How will you use YouTube on PS Vita?

There's a price cut in France too apparently.
Lasting 6 weeks then the price goes back up.
People who previously bought a vita in France are entitled to a rebate.

Don't know what's going on there.

Soul Sacrifice has been confirmed for NA and EU. Never really doubted that but good to get it confirmed.

There have also been rumors of a PS+ revamp and that it will be coming to PS Vita. This would be great news and it will be interesting to see if it comes true on Monday. I won't complain if they want to send free games my way. Hopefully it will also include an additional discount on downloaded titles. If they could get new titles to $30 or less I will be picking up more Vita titles.:)

Edit:

I've owned a PSP since 2005 and I never used it for remote play even one time. I can't believe it's taken me until now to try it out. I'm going on a trip next week and I'm going to leave GT2 in the PS3 so I can do remote start up and play it at night. I can finally play all the PSONE titles(FFVII, Oddworld, Tomb Raider etc.) I bought or received through PS+ but haven't spent much time with. It's a great feature that I'm sure I will use plenty going forward. Next they need to add remote play of select PS3 titles like they said they are working on. I'm loving this Vita more every day:D, just need to get NEAR to start working. Anyone have difficulties with NEAR on wifi and get it fixed? I submitted my MAC Address to Skyhook and it still doesn't work.:(
