Okay so this is probably going to be it, if there's any problems why I can't host the lobby I'll let you know.

S1 class in Surfers Paradise at 3:30 Eastern Time Zone (2:30 central time)

I got disconnected and tried to rejoin in.

I noticed that unlike any other part chat we had before, this one is invite only so I couldn't join in.

So I had to message someone...Sadly I can't:

Then I went and tried to spam invite just so people notice me and invite me back only to be waiting for several minutes as no one seems to be bothering to do it.

What we learned from tonight's lobby :

No more S1-Class in Surfers Paradise lobbies,
Some players are still using there maps in Open Patrol lobbies,
There are still players who wanna chat away on their mics when there are pursuits in progress,
The Porsche Carrera GT & Mclaren F1 GT are BANNED,
Please don't invite randoms into TR&C lobbies.

Tonight I only expected 5-7 people lobby. If anyone had a bad experience I'm dearly sorry. I did not prepare for that many. I would have done something more reasonable. Even though I'm told it wasn't my fault I feel like it was, I want everyone to have a great night. See you tomorrow hopefully. Also. PLEASE DO BYRON BAY. TOMORROW.

It wasn't the suburbs. Panda put it generally, but I will say it once more: the amount of off topic banter, confusion, and nobody not knowing what the **** was going on was off the charts, and it was the first time in this club I have been this frustrated.

Ban Notice
Who:
@JettCheetah
Length: Next 3 lobbies.
What: Overuse of the microphone.
Where/When: S1 Open Patrol at Surfers Paradise hosted by WhereTheAK47 on 5/19/2017.
Why: There were 11 people in the lobby, meaning airtime was limited for everyone. You kept on rambling about off-topic things such as your cars' specifications and other things when there were chases going on. During pursuits, cops want to relay info to others to avoid confusion and properly route other officers to their location. You talking a good chunk of the time made that difficult.

Club Changes
Added the following rules:
Only the lead unit and/or drone should give directions of the racer.
Do not hog up the microphone chat.

Other Important Things:
  • @JASON_ROCKS1998 stop pausing the game to check the map. If you can't find the racer, too bad.
  • @EnkiTehWuff keep the off-topicness in general to a minimum. We don't constantly want to hear how fast your car is.
  • Make sure you have the Horizon group privacy set to "Invite Only" when creating a lobby.
  • Non-members ARE allowed. Just make sure you let us know who will be joining if they are your friend. Also, if they have not gotten themselves familiar with how the club operates/what it even is, do NOT tell them to join.
only to be waiting for several minutes as no one seems to be bothering to do it.
I did. You then drove the SVX for some reason and told you to get out of it. You then changed into the Buick GNX.

Okay. I understand.
Well, things got way out of hand, and well, I managed to get myself banned.
Now i know exactly what to do. Scratch the 3 lobby ban. It should be a 6 or so lobby ban. I am not exaggerating. I really think I deserve this. And honestly, i feel more like a burden than a player. So, i might as well apologize.
@Silver Arrows , i am sincerely sorry for my talking. I was way too talkative and really just didn't help at all. Plus, the locations i gave out were so vague that there was no point of even trying to figure out the location of the current suspect. @Ameer67 , i am as well, very sorry for being like this. I am certain that my 6 lobby ban will teach me a good lesson on how to not be a complete dumbass.

JettCheetah out.

Thanks for understanding. 👍

Giving vague directions is better than no directions, to be fair! Just try to have a better idea of where the crook is next time.

A 3 lobby ban is enough, I'd say. 6 is unnecessary.

And here I was about to use the carerra Gt. Damn, are under 1,000 hp muscle cars still allowed? I have a few around 500 hp.

Yesterday's lobby was a bit chaotic. I had fun, but I think I was in the minority for that. Also, I hadn't realised just how broken the McLaren F1 GT was for an open patrol. When you actually volunteer to give your racer position up, you know your car is OP. I seem to have a habit of discovering broken/OP cars, but regardless, I won't use it again.

Hopefully today's lobby is better. I'll join after I get out of work.

Last night was 🤬 and I was really close to rage quitting. Car limits seriously need reform to stop OP/broken cars in the classes.

People also need to get their 🤬 together on the mics too, having 8 people yammering on at once makes it near impossible to relay information on pursuits.

Had good fun on my Cayman GT4 chase though.

Why I do get this feeling that I somehow ruined the lobby despite being not in the lobby for most of the time?

I was going to use a Buick Grand National GNX (in a odd brown colored chevy monto carlo/2 door caprice looking livery) with 700 or so HP but I got disconnected few minutes later and never managed to join in again.

You didn't ruin anything. There was a whole host of other problems that were more damaging to that lobby.

Time to add my thoughts on what was yesterday's lobby.

It felt like S1 class was not really a good fit for Surfers Paradise. To me, these supercars would be more suited to wide open maps such as the Highway, while Surfers is geared more towards the B and A class cars.

I cannot really comment on the illicit use of maps, apart from the fact that I do not use the map, and if I go into the pause menu for whatever reason, then I make an effort not to look at the map. You don't need me to remind you guys that a lot of the enjoyment comes from everyone being on a level playing field, and cops in real life often don't have tracking devices to lead them right to the suspect, wherever they may be hiding (exceptions to apply to high-end cars with tracking devices fitted).

I can definitely understand the frustrations with excessive radio traffic, especially during pursuits. I feel that light-hearted chatter can liven up patrol periods, but I also feel that everyone should straighten up and get serious as soon as a pursuit is called. Also, I can understand that the lead unit and/or air support unit should be the ones to call out headings. Although the lead unit can choose to allow the secondary unit to call headings in order to focus on keeping up with the suspect (as I have done once or twice), at the end of the day, the job of calling out locations should be kept to the unit with the best view of the suspect.

On the subject of overpowered cars, I recall having discussions with regards to how to make the C class balanced again. I remember that the solution reached during the discussion was to establish power-to-weight ratio limits to keep out the massively-powerful cars. I believe that such a solution could work for the other classes. While it would be complex to set up to a point where the cars are balanced, it is quite obvious that the current system of relying on the game's performance index just isn't working.

I personally have few problems with allowing randoms to join our lobbies, as long as they have been informed of the rules and regulations, and they do their best to play legit. They should also be informed that if they do not play by the rules, they risk being kicked and banned from the lobby.

Finally, I would like to apologize for the way I snapped during the last... ten minutes of my time in the lobby. As I had said, I was getting a little frustrated with what was going in the lobby. While I would've had the option to leave the lobby, I wanted to persevere and try to salvage a little enjoyment out of what could've been my last lobby with the club. And while my... "rant," if you could call it that, may have been somewhat mild to you guys, it was still a departure from the serious, professional demeanor that I maintain at all times. I let my emotions get the better of me, and it will not happen again.

Before I go, I just want to know what vehicle class today's lobby is likely to use. If it is A class, I will use a couple of special vehicles (relax, they're not overpowered..) for the lobby.

If tonight's lobby isn't another :censored:show by the time Indy 500 qualifying is done, I might join.

Multiplayer is on, you're just not able to access clubs, market place, Rival, Auction House, Paintjobs, and downloadable tunes.

Yeah, multiplayer appears to be working. There is one issue though: @Silver Arrows will most likely be hosting his off-roading lobby at 2:30 Central and some of our members will be there. I'm anticipating his lobby will go on for an hour or two, meaning we'd have to host at around 4 or 5 PM. At that point, I think it would be too late. Maybe we can take today off and someone can get a lobby up tomorrow without me.

He's hosting an off-roading lobby?? Like what we did before? Either the off road cars and just drove around?

I'm afraid I won't be able to make it to a Sunday lobby. I might as well go join the offroaders for a session, see what's up with that.
