I have never seen one in the flesh.

I have seen some sedans as cop cars outside their precinct.

Seen ONE ZB cop car on the move. I see the SRT300 cop cars more often and they're rare.

Never seen or heard of any ZB in private hands.

The 2nd hand sales sites have them cheap... say 100,000km models for $20k?

But who actually wants this orphan that will invariably have high parts cost given its a Euro GM that isnt even a part of GM any more.

Also a turbo fwd auto saloon with that generic GM interior is such an uninviting place to be or drive.

Probably my brother's first car: 1981 Lancia Zagato black & gold edition. 1 of 75(didn't even know it at the time). Only Italian "sports car" in any Bronx projects.

This is after he got tired of the gold stripes. Spray painted(oh, Lord) over the stripes with silver and then, at another point in time, again with black. Did the same to wheels.

Just talking overall production numbers, this is one of the rarest cars I've seen in the wild. Though I've actually seen at least three other ones in the wild, one of which was a roadster.

Sadly don't have a picture but I managed to catch an SVJ about 18 months in my works car park.

Recently managed to catch an Alfa 4C roadster and that's definitely rare around these parts.

I didn't see it, but back in early 2006 a coworker who went to a customer site in Apalachicola came back and claimed to have seen a Bugatti Veyron. Keep in mind that production of the Veyron began in the fall of 2005, and there were no plans to export them to the U.S. I told my coworker it therefore couldn't have been a Veyron, but I don't know what it could have been. After all what else looks like that? I firmly believed he was pulling our legs.

Then the June 2006 edition of Automobile magazine arrived, with the cover story being about taking a Veyron coast to coast in the USA. Well, "coast-to-coast" in the sense of going from Florida's Atlantic coast, through the panhandle, to Florida's Gulf coast. Pictures and everything, some at places I recognized from my own frequent drives through there.

EDIT: Found the magazine!

Here are some of the rarest cars I've seen over the years, all of them at my local race track, Lime Rock Park here in Connecticut.

Mclaren F1 with bonus Enzo:

Zonda (one that was featured in a Top Gear segment):

This is probably THE rarest I've seen, as it is the only one, the P4/5 (I've also seen the racing version):

Actually, I think that Monza is the SP1 because it's only one seat. The SP2 has two seats. Still, either one is rare and expensive.
Is that the difference between the 2? The seats? Because I haven't the foggiest idea on what differs these things.

Pretty much. The Monza SP1 is a single seater, while the SP2 has two seats. Otherwise they're basically the same.

On to the Wayback Machine! 1965 Spa 500Km. I was there. Dad shooting Kodachrome through his Voigtlander Ultramatic.

May have just seen the rarest vehicle in my area: an electric blue Wrangler 4-door Ute. Looked brand new. Drove past while it was parked. Nearly as wide as a Hummer H1. :sly: Definitely have not seen a Wrangler Ute at all.

Was this part of Dutton's inventory for sale or personal collection? I've heard they have an upstairs garage that has a bunch of rarities.
Those two cars are for sale. It's not part of the personal collection as far as I know. And yes, they do have an upstairs garage with plenty of rare stuff. Porsche 918, La Ferrari, Bugatti EB110, Aston Martin DBS V8 and many more.

@Gotbeefboy564 Ive been lucky enough to ride in a GTS/R, #52 that was given to Justin Bell by Dodge .
Coincidentally, I just watched Harry's Garage's newest vid on the 993 GT2, and he references that he did a favorite comparison of the 911 against that very car from Justin, summarizing it was a very good car.

I wasn’t very old, early teens but all I know is it looked and sounded cool and was even
cooler to be Justin Bell’s car. His was number #52 as that was his race car number.

The owner who took me out was the president of the Uk Viper owners club (he’s passed away due to cancer sadly) but he bought it directly from Justin.

@SPhilli911 Of all the cars I haven't seen at Lime Rock was an F1. That looks incredible!

A recent spotting that I had little to no idea about. Saw this 280SL and figured it was "just some" Pagoda getting service done, but it turned out to be another one off Pininfarina design 280SL Pininfarina Coupe! I knew something wasn't "normal" about this 280SL and didn't realize what it was until I got home from California. Got photobombed by one of the employees of the shop too. This was when my brother and I parked out rental in Monterey and decided to take a small walk around the town to see stuff.

Not one, but two Zonda Rs within the same week. One at RM Sotheby's auction and another at the Pagani "island" showcase at Laguna Seca. At first I thought it was the same two Rs, but...then I realized they weren't.

Not the greatest photos I took, but certainly worth going to Monterey Car Week. :D I'm sure there's even more rare stuff I saw that I might (or not) have photos of.

Adding the CLK GTR to the list of rarest cars I've seen. Something like 25 of these made? Rare to see at all outside of a garage, much more rare to see one getting rained on here in the United States.

At one point the engine lid was off, but the crowds were too large to snap a good photo of that.

IIRC, that's the CLK GTR that was in DK Engineering's big 3 photoshoot. Red75 just got that car earlier this year and looks to be really enjoying it.

I'm glad you mentioned that because I was thinking hey I just watched the CLK GTR user's guide video from DK a few weeks back and thought I'd check to see which car that was because it's not often these cars move around. Confirmed, it is the same car with the RED 75 plate! That is very cool to see it ended up here of all places.
