The Rolex Sports Car Series /Help Plan Season 2!/

Ok did you try my track if so did it feel right

Ok so no dibs we will hold a draft at the end of the season

I wouldn't call it a "draft" but more of a... More organized way of deciding teams.

I do have a sauber, in my opinion the group c cars look more like dp cars than lmp. Thing Is, the 787b is the only premium car.

Ya thing is not everyone has one

Lol. What's up melan? What do u need to talk to me about?

Ummmm, Polar invited me to Ferrari... It's something about "drivers who haven't missed a race should get the choice before drivers who have missed races..."

Anthony, habla con él, para saber si a él, le gustaría estar en el mismo equipo.

Speak with Seth, to know if he'd like to be on the same team.

Actually we are thinking about making a draft

Sounds like NFL stuff. Keep me out of that. I'm here to drive. I'm not a 45086 pound steroid monkey.

Ok well it might give you a chance to be a continental tire team owner

Oh? I get to be a team owner? SIGN ME UP!

Anyways, no, James, I didn't run your track yet. I didn't have time, amongst my rally series testing, and my DP testing, and my ITCC testing. Bizzzzzyy azzzzz a bumblebee.

Harrison, yeah, Polar invited me to Ferrari... I just thought I'd re-mention that, in case you didn't see the first time.

Maybe if we do a draft

Yeah, Im just going to wait it out until the season 2 thread pops up to pick a car. All these possibilities of new cars popping up has got me changing my mind every second. Did someone say Sauber? :)

I'm 99% sure we won't make the jump to group c cars this season....next season?.....well see!

hmm was gonna suggest a NFL style draft (last picks first) but then the people who don't turn up pick first. Also, I want to see where everyone else moves first

Pretty sure I've been clear this whole season that I'll be sticking with Dodge for next Season, since we're using the ACR instead of the Coupé. I wouldn't have been testing it for next season if I wasn't planning to drive it. Also.... noticed this:

Sweet! Consider that spot filled then. 👍

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHH BOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! FH taking a spot in the Viper. Happy days.

Can I make a suggestion that was done in Jav's FIA series? He had so many people sign up that he had to make two seperate divisions.

What he ended up doing was holding a qualyfing race. All of us had to take a stock Zonda R out to Monza and qualify with a steward present in the room. This is how he determined who made the cut for div 1 and 2. And it also settled the order in which people got to choose their cars

That might be a good idea

I think it's an excellent idea!!

Forgot to mention that it would be one warm up lap and two hot laps. Stewards would have to make a deadline date. Contestants have between now and then to practice and set up a date for official qualifying.

With a different car/track, that's what I'm doing for my rally series. I'm not saying I want/need people to join, but, I like the idea of running a few different classes with a few different skill levels. The only thing that will matter in my rally series, will be the absolute speed of car/driver, SO I want to match the drivers together by their personal talent.

I'm not sure of we have enough people to do two separate divisions. When we do that'd be the best way to divide them, no doubt!

And did I miss something and we are doing that now, or is it just for when we do get enough people (which, if we get a few more sign ups, may become a reality!)

Well, I really meant it as a way for us to settle car choices.

Javs league got so much attention because he was sponsored by omega gaming chairs. One of their cockpits was the prize for the winner.

Wow! Well a few hundred dollars in prizes would most definitely bring people in!

Well, learning to drive racing cars against some STIFF competition's a pretty big challenge, as is. Shame I'm still learning the DP ropes, and still can't drive such fast cars, because I'd really like to take the battle to Seth and Anthony again, but, I'm not fast enough. Anyways, Seth, Polar, Anthony, Flyin and I will have some epic battles in the ITCC, I have no doubt.

Anyways, I'm about to hop onto GT5 and make an open *RALLY* room, to see if I can get any interest in the IRCC.

I'd love to join ya, but I may have a busy night! If I have some time, you bet I'll hop on!

Gonna be an early for me today for work so I should be able to get on for a little bit tonight. Dunno how I would do in Rally though. Havent even tried to tune a car for rally yet.

Well, I'm considering running with a "Revert your rally cars to stock" clause. I want to put emphasis on drivers running the fastest they can run, on tracks that they've never seen before.

So, I'll be testing all three of the stock rally cars today, at Eiger Nordwand W Trail.

OK, here is my thoughts for next season!

DP CLASS should be 1000kg 525hp (slowest DP) because they're TOO fast as is. Real life DP's are around lmp2 speed. Toyota, Bentley can be 510hp or thereabouts since they have a slight speed and handling advantage respectively. Open up to Sauber C9, Nissan R92. Give it more selection. Have time trials with the cars wanting to be used if there are too many users wanting the same car. Maybe 5 laps each at 3 tracks we run to see who is fastest over that stint? That will be fair for 'hotlappers' and 'consistencies'.

GT should see cars like the Viper and Ferrari get a little weight break IMO. And ADD the V10 AUDI R8 5.2 in place of the 4.2 as it's heavier so it should be fair against the others. Any thoughts on this?

There are definitely some points that can/will be used! Thank you!

My thoughts on the dp- I think a full conversion to dp would be the option. Cars will be from years closer together, more similar spec's. Right now we have cars from 10 years apart. Nothing wrong with that, but a gap of 2-3 years makes more sense (and they look more like DP cars).

GT- we're looking into options now :)
