I was hoping for Fugu; instead of boring as hell course with plenty of corner cut opportunities. Haven't had a good record with those courses

It's not the corner cutting opportunities I hate, for me it's the back section of the track. It just sucks and is so difficult to drive.

Cmon the whole track is epic and that back section in a loose Fwd or slightly loose Rwd is so pleasurable. Cheer up guys you'll love it unless people cut/run wide every lap in which case they shouldn't be racing and should be banned...

No scenery will do that. :(

Seriously, Detroit Belle Isle for Season III!! We'll use Madrid... And Mid-Ohio! We'll use Trial Mountain. And Miller Motorsports-Fine, keep Fuji.

And Barber-Cape Ring South...

And New Jersey - Suzuka

And Circuit Gilles Villeneuve - SSR5 (?)

And Lime Rock Park - Deep Forest (?)

It's one thing to make a pass in the red part of the track when there is no room left on the track. It's another thing to drive on the red part of the track so that no one will draft you. .

Please clarify what is meant by "the red part of the track". If you mean the outer lanes of the Mulsanne Straight then I am confused I guess. I had no idea these areas were considered "out of bounds" since in real life they are used routinely ? I usually move over to them to allow more room for faster cars to get through ? Please clarify the rules in this regard please :)

In real life they are usualy avoided due to the amount of rubbish on them iirc. We allow using them in Pure to give the faster class more space to pass etc since there is no gain from driving on them.

Again good luck guys, be very strict on run off use past the kerbs. OLR allows the inside wheels on kerbs on exits and outside wheels on kerbs on entries but no further.

We don't use red gravel. "Tertre Rouge" is a nickname given to one of the corners @ La Sarthe. It basically was "Terre Rouge" (Red Earth) before the English came, with their inability to pronounce the French rolled "R" sound, iirc.

Anyways, the red stuff is actually gravel/earth there. Iirc, the organizers organizing the 24 of LM always leave some extra space to slow rhe cars down... 1955 dictates a huge dedication to safety. So, leaving some red "terre rouge" on both sides of the track was deemed safer.

Because it's NOT pavement, that part of the track shouldn't be used.

What Mel said. They do use it, but not apart of the regular racing line.

Edit: Are you sure it's not pavement? I have seen cars drive on it in the actual race. I thought it was more like the shoulder of the highway, because it is a public road. I always thought it was hazardous in real life because since it is the shoulder of a highway, there's usually debris on it. Which is why it's not used often during the race.

In other news, I might be able to make the race Saturday after all.

Edit again: In more other news, Sauber has clinched the manufacture championship.

And I wonder why you guys clinched? It's not like you guys have shown up to like... All of the races....

Nope no matter how hard you try no horns can be added to race cars :P. (Atleast ones that start without them ;))

Thank goodness!! We'd have a GHS special of "hhhhhhhhooooooonnnnnnnnkkkkkkkkk" in a early 90's racecar.... Not my idea of a fun Saturday evening....

When I hear horns my brake pedal jams on, esp if it's directly behind :scared:..... :sly:

What kind of BTCC-wait a minute!

Don't quite understand this but :P. New pic is Newsham taking win number 2 at Knockhill :D:tup::bowdown:. (Again in race 3 reverse grid race :dopey:) Made my trip home to Inverness a very enjoyable one, Inverness racers ftw :sly:.

👍 SauberWorks baby 👍 Now I just need to hold off a late season surge by Ant for the driver's title.

Shin missed the first 2, and I missed Monza. We got a late start, but we have come back nicely.
