What should the best tire we use for Season 3 be?

Whisky mentioned that it was quite difficult to pass me. Wasn't making it hard. That rotary was the nicest sounding motor.

Did he use TC?

Yes. He's not as hardcore as the rest of us. While he won't intentionally do weird things, his control is a little worse than mine (insert drift at Daytona yesterday.) To make up for it, he uses 1 TCS on cars at or above 500 hp & racing line.

I saw him have trouble with the Toyota, would he like to drive the Ferrari?

I made a tonne of mistakes in this race. The fact that I still won it proves something. Everyone can turn around and say, "Oh well I could have won if not for this...." or "if this person wasn't slowing me down...."

To be honest, the way the car was driving so beautifully, it didn't make a difference. If anything, taking out all of the mistakes I made, chances are that my 6-7 second lead would have been much much wider. As it was, I didn't make ANY pit strategy error or driving errors prior to the caution, and look how far ahead I was. With the Mazdas out of draft, I could run much easier and pushed much harder if I wanted to, and my final stint on mediums wouldn't have gone so horribly. Yet, despite the hiccup, despite the caution pulling everyone back to within touching distance, as I've said.... I got the win. I'm not boasting, just ****ing pleased that all my hard work, preparation, mental conditioning had paid off.

Mel, I'll gladly run the Viper at 450 bhp and 1270 kg, if you really think it's THAT overpowered. Though, maybe you still can't accept that I've improved a lot, perhaps? "Most underrated driver in GT." I believe is my current title. I'm starting to see why.

One more for the good guys. I think your just a better driver. You dont see me pulling away from the pack. I'll say the viper def. has more tq. But each car has its strong points.

You habe gotten way better compared to last season of ALMS. Maybe your tuning hae gotten better. You run with your own tunes right?

Yeah, Storm is just good. Both tunes and driving. Although the Vipers do tend to be up in the front row, and have better tire wear, it's the tune/driver.

Reasons for why I'm disappointed with tonight's race.

Lap 2: Ant cuts the track at the Dunlop Chicane and then proceeds to take out whiskymaser.

Lap 5: Ant runs me off at Mulsanne Corner.

Lap 11: Ant yet again puts me off at Mulsanne Corner.

Lap 14: I nearly hit whiskymaser because he decided to do donuts in the middle of the track. I actually end up hitting the wall.

1 - He didn't go flat out through the corner, you could see him slowing down. His fault for hitting whiskey, though.
2 - He went for a gap and you turned in on him. You went on the throttle too early and you went in the grass. Not his fault.
3 - Definitely Ant's fault, he should have looked there.
4 - Wow.

1- I never cutted that way, I don't know why at the replay looks that, I remember just a little cut and slow down after that. Whisky ran too slow, that is the reason because in your replay we had a contact.
2- I was inside line and you turned like I wasn't there. Anyway I leave space for one and a half car.
3- In the replay my foul but I swear that I leave you space for you can turn for the outside line.

In all replays my car looks too nervous and that is not real, I can't show you my replays because I lost the conection and couldn't save it. But looking your replay I see lag in the race, so I want to know if all the drivers look me on the race the same way (this race I was the host).

And why do you accused me if I never had intention to kick you out of the track, when you passed me for the red zone knowing you can't do it (you teached me), I told you, when cnd got in pit danger way I told him, when whisky blocked me two times running one lap behind I said he need practice more before compete in an official race, what is my point, you just have to tell me because if I made a mistake and I didn't see it I will recognize it, I think this is the way to resolve the manouvers. And I am sorry if we had contact, I didn't know and never had intention.

It's one thing to make a pass in the red part of the track when there is no room left on the track. It's another thing to drive on the red part of the track so that no one will draft you. I would have gave up my position anyways because I was so offline going into the second chicane. It didn't matter though, because whisky punted you off at the second chicane.

Yes. I slowed down. I hit you... and I slowed down. Quote "I had to slow down." I didn't speed off, I slowed down. I went wide, couldn't return because you were right next to me, so I gradually re-entered the track to make sure I didn't hit you, then I'm pretty sure you lagged into me and then contact.

As for the whole mistakes thing, all mistakes before the caution are irrelevant.
Bearing in mind the incident took place after the Dunlop chicane, and you took until Mulsanne chicane 1 to allow Damu passed, you took a very long time to slow down for him. If you had yielded sooner, chances are that drafting off the Mazda would've put you closer to me and Mel. As it was you wasn't that far off anyway.

The recognition is much appreciated, ghskilla. You took a gamble on your strategy and it didn't quite work, but chances are that it would've done one stint later. I did want to do a 6th lap, and I would've had just enough tyre wear to see me through, but I didn't want to risk that for the first stint; car's too heavy.

Thanks FH. Also, yeah I'm running my own tunes. The Viper definitely has acceleration thanks to it's torque, which makes it on par with the Audi. I believe on one lap, me and ghs were drag racing up to the Indianapolis section. I had the biggest grin on my face when I saw that opportunity. Running in ALMS and Rolex was a massive jump into the deep end for me last season. A big learning curve that I was looking for.

A fair few people here have karting, racing sim, unaided game/mechanical driving AND wheel experience, where as I very little if any of all those aspects in comparison. Now, I'm learning about not only the cars, but about tuning, strategies, consistent driving, and also taking the time to learn about how certain people drive. Even just by testing on of the other cars, I can now pick out strengths and weaknesses within it, how to remedy that for a race situation if I were the driver, how the car can take certain sections of track, how it performs in various conditions, how long the tyres last. In just one stint in a rival car, I not only know how to compete with that car, but how it will be able to compete with mine. I did a race with Damu, and despite my overall lap times being better than his, in a race situation it could abuse the straights with its higher power and lighter weight, and let's not talk about draft....

The thing is, call me presumptuous if you will, but that quote made it sound as if it were my fault for that incident.

Granted, the incidents prior to the last caution are pretty much invalidated to the race result, but they should still be raised as we don't want dangerous scenarios actually occurring.

He could've taken a pit stop?

He could've; he spun. That killed his tires at Tertre Rouge, and he tried to limp the car back. After the thing wth Shin, he got a little worried that he would cause another incident; and stayed off-track.

Like I said, does he want to try the Ferrari?

And are you on the computer? Some solid Skype convo may go down...

Computer's dead. PS3 browser is all I have. ;(

As for the cars he's allowed to use, I gave him a quick run-through... He likes the Camaro, but not how it looks, or the idea of having a team boss to report too.

Lastly, we're going job-hunting tomorrow (in thunderstorms) and will most likely discuss him, and his GTP account. I can maybe sell it to him, that he should join us. ;)

James is out of the picture. So he wouldn't have to worry about a team boss, however, the Camaro is filled. The Ferrari is a monster. ;)

And total bummer about the computer! I'll send you a pm tomorrow about what were going over.

Whisky's fixing the computer. I'll try to get him to think about the Ferrari, but, he likes "square cars." Lol, Countach, Camaro, Mustangs, Challengers, 'Cudas... He likes 70s cars a lot.

I noticed he drove a orange Lamborghini in ITCC.... Maybe we can add that Ferrari 512?
