What should the best tire we use for Season 3 be?

Why? You had decided GT was racing and were off going.

And the new rule is; when caution is called, the pits are closed.

Why don't you just not come to laguna?

Because I didn't cause any collisions during the race.

Good, thank you for clarifying that, now try (as Damu said) to get more specific on the rules of cautions if this type of event ever occurs again. I understand this is your guys' first season with cautions, so it won't be perfect. We can learn from this mistake, and will make us better in the long run.

I didn't decide when GT was racing and going, I had asked if we could get GT to pit and DP green, since we had little laps left. When cnd, you, and ant all said caution at red, I just drove to finish. There was nothing wrong with what I did, and it did nothing to me, or the finishing order.

And finally, I'll be fine with third, it's still a podium, but it will cost Audi a lot of points in the championship, which is my main gripe. And why I was angry. Now, I've settled down, and had some time to think of this.

@ghskilla - Polar wasn't to know that you jumped into the pits when caution was called.

@polar - GHS was following your original decisions, and you did become indecisive even while the parade was still going on.

Basically, that last caution came very late on and threw everyone by surprise. It's never happened so late in the race before. Get off each other's backs if not for saying, "I'll know not to say / do this / that next time we're in that situation."

Sorry to say but this is why I hate cautions etc. Imo it's much easier to race start to finish and hand out penalties based on incidents.. Cautions cause too much confusion and can be greatly frustrating after pulling a nice lead to only have it done in by another classes crash or something..

My opinion is cautions/saftey car periods should only be for games that have wreckable cars (Grid for e.g, sometimes wrecked cars are even left on the road on that :scared:.) or in heavy damage races. Light damage races should just be lights to flag with penalties for bad driving etc.

Nothings ever perfect but we can only do our best 👍.

I do feel that sometimes the cautions are in some way exploited or deliberately induced. Fuji last week for example. That's what I don't like about them.

nevertheless, these are my ideas for cautions:
~ If there is 10 minutes or 5 laps, remaining the caution will result in a black flag. Positions after organising the caution and arranging a parade lap will be the final positions of each class.

~ Until the organisation of the caution is under control, pits are closed when caution is called by two different people.

~ Drivers in direct involvement with the incident causing a caution should be the only ones calling caution. No-one else should; regardless.

Okay, so it's settled. My final thoughts:

@Storm - I should've assumed that when I pit, but he checked the replay, so that's what I was assuming at that point.

@Paul - It is frustrating, and it also can cause confusion. I definitely see where you're coming from.

@Polar - Okay, I hope we have resolved this issue. I'm sorry for causing an outburst in chat. If you strongly feel that I shouldn't race at Laguna, I won't bother showing up, as I've said in ALMS, I don't want to race if I know I'm going to ruin someone else's.

Emotions are running high I think, ghs. It was one of those races.

ALMS don't use cautions for the reason Paul stated. It's a valid enough reason.

First of all: Great job ant 👍 You had the best car all race.

As to the caution situation: That was a situation that had never happened before. It caught everyone off guard. I saw a few GT cars pit immediately after the caution flag was called. I personally think that we should go back to the running order when the caution came out. That should be the official finishing order. If we followed the caution policy as stated in the OP, it would have ended in the same order as it was when the caution came out because no one in their right mind would have pitted with 1 lap to go. Remember, just follow the OP, and there will be no problems. This is the first time the caution policy has gotten confusing in the regular season, so let's not get all up in arms. We have 1 more race at Laguna Seca. We need to end the season on a strong point 👍 Fellow Rolex SCS racers, let's get out there and have a great week next week.

Na, you're good. For now.

We've just never had a caution this late, and I didn't even consider the fact that you guys had 2-3 more laps left than we did.

It's over, we learned :)

Next season- no cautions last 3 laps, GT cars will have to know how many laps down they are, or if a caution happens that late, we just end under caution.

Not only was it our first season with cautions, it is our first season with consistent turn outs. Hopefully we can expand on this and well FINALLY have that 16 driver grid!

Thanks man but, I am not happy, too many mistakes, I think is the pressure of the championship!

And guys, try not fight anymore, we need to add drivers, not subtract drivers!!

Ummmm, this is what happens when I have no front downforce, and am being followed by a car with a LOT of front downforce. You hit me, because you didn't slow down soon enough, because you forgot to factor in the lack of downforce. The difference between DP and GT isn't linear. When I go through a corner with a bump, in GT, I have to slow down for DP, because you guys can't get your cars over bumps. When we're in high-speed sweepers, you guys have 4x as much downforce; it causes you guys to close at an incredible rate of speed. You hit me, because I have no downforce on the Mazda. That spoiler does more for the look of the series, than it does for the performance of the car.

That's right. I think I had 3 or 4 spins :banghead: The championship is so close now that I am nervous about it right now. :sly:

Silver, might I suggest Nissan to you? Anthony would really like a teammate, but if you're more comfortable with GT, Chevy and Ferrari are open.

I'd like to partner with Anthony. Problem is I don't own the LMP

Hmm, that's a issue! LOL, but, Just keep a eye out for it in the used car dealer :) We WILL be using that car in season 3, so you would be able to use it in the coming season also. It'd be a good investment :P :D

Gonna race the Ferrari though. I feel comfortable in a GT car, I will probably mess up in the LMP.

Cool. I know Ant and I are separated by 10 points with 1 race to go :nervous: This will be for all the marbles assuming I actually can make the race :banghead: I am more than likely out though.

Thanks, talk about a warm welcome. Kinda sucks I joined so late, but there's always next season.

I wouldn't be worried. We'll be doing 'fun' races starting next week to get the new GT class specs all worked out. Another person is going to make that process a bit easier!
