I have to be careful about where I brake. Even with that extra downforce, I need prompts on and around the track to help me or I'm locking up and going off.

I got the tyre wear event due to my brake setup, and I can kinda take advantage of the extra downforce in that respect.

I kinda hate the way people's names appear so vividly over the cars. Places like Fuji and Indy I NEED to see those markers. The names conveniently block that.

I brake like a half second after the red light flashes. I turn it on if I'm racing by myself, but in league races I dont trust myself enough yet.

I want to be completely independant from it though. I see it as a way to "cheat".

I know this isn't really a fair comparison since it's not one of the DP cars this season, but I was putting the Bentley Speed 8 (500 bhp / 1060 kg) around the track. I was getting 1:17's with it.

You guys play high school sports? I used to play a different sport for each season. And I S you not I never went to school and got B's and C's. Half of my classes I had my coaches as my teachers. Then have friends help me out with the homework. Only time I really showed poor grades was basketball season. I was too short to make the team.

Actually, here I'm only a second or so off, based off of 5 laps of practice. So the 1:24's shouldn't be too far off.

For this race 65 laps? It is a NAEC race, so it should push our bladder's capabilities!

Man, ain't that the truth ! You get a pack of cars heading into the Ascari Chicane at Monza and the brake markers are mounted high on the fencing totally obliterated .... chaos ensues

I would have said La Source was worse, if not for the newer layout having the wall much much further away than I remember it being before... wasn't the last chicane reversed before?

The markers are so far into your peripheral it's hardly worth using them. If you look away to gauge your braking point on them, you're ramming someone straight into that wall.

Oh DP guys... is it bad that I got 1:16.889 in a Bentley Speed 8, with 490 bhp and 1070 kg? I was only practicing to get a feel of DP's pace over the GT's.

I suspect other things are pulling people's attention away from here. It's not normally this quiet.

I'm rooting for ghskilla to win, becuase then if I can't attend, it doesn't matter where anyone else finishes.

If my connection holds out and I get to start the race without DCing, I'll proceed to perform 60+ parade laps. Nah to be honest, I'm kinda hoping everyone give it one final push. I will be too.

It'd be nice to see Nirv win the final race, given what he's done with the car, and given that IRL he's a friend of mine too.

Ghskilla's performance in recent races has been impressive, so if he ended with a win too that'd be well-received.

I kinda want tbwhhs to pull some magic out of his a** and win, just because it'd be a real buzz and EVERYONE would be so pleased for him.

I kinda want to see Mel take the win here too though, because for whatever reason he's been struggling with the car. I know it's said that the Mazda is OP, massively strong on straights and in draft, and I know I've been playing around with it myself to gauge it's competitiveness, but something about the car at 465 bhp / 1085 kg can't be exactly good for it... In short, everyone's been on his case I feel, including myself, so it'd be good for Mel to end this season on a high.

I'm not nervous at all. I'm not expecting to win, which might be why I'm not nervous, but I think the car's decent enough, if practice last night was anything to go by. Right FH? 👍

You're champion, if you don't show up and Damu finishes 2nd or lower. Damu is champion if you don't show up and he wins the race. I'm rooting for tbw to win. If we get a 1-2 that'd be a great way to end the season.

No, last season's DP was quite a bit faster than this season's.

950kg and closer to 600 HP, so yea... they were a tad bit faster!

I'm actually quite stoked for this race.. One of my favorite tracks, and it's on the weekend!

Like ALL my teachers decided this Thursday/Friday was the best time to have our first tests... Ugh! But if I do good this year, I should be set up to go to either Pitt (University of Pittsburgh) or another solid college. Depends what I want to do. If I want to go to med school- Pitt. It's really good for that.

Fun fact: Medicine is the biggest industry in Pittsburgh since all the steel mills left! No, it's not so foggy you cant see the sky anymore xD

If I want to go the engineer route... Not totally sure where to go for that...

But to try to kinda get this back on track, I do think 65 laps is a good amount for this track, it will definitely test our tunes, mental endurance, and bladders!

I'm thinking race pace will be mid 1:19's, so that's a pretty accurate length.

Hopefully we won't have a caution, but we'll definitely be in good shape if we have one

I used 1:18 as a base x 65, and about 10 minutes for pitting time, formation and race end timer.

Works out about the same (90 minutes). My last post I mistook something early on in my calculating, so I just edited it out.

There were only 3 GT cars and I retired from that race. Meaning for the full race distance, there were only two GT cars racing and being lapped by LMPs. Results there might not translate well against a group of 3 fighting for the lead, or more.
