950kg and closer to 600 HP, so yea... they were a tad bit faster!

I'm actually quite stoked for this race.. One of my favorite tracks, and it's on the weekend!

Like ALL my teachers decided this Thursday/Friday was the best time to have our first tests... Ugh! But if I do good this year, I should be set up to go to either Pitt (University of Pittsburgh) or another solid college. Depends what I want to do. If I want to go to med school- Pitt. It's really good for that.

Fun fact: Medicine is the biggest industry in Pittsburgh since all the steel mills left! No, it's not so foggy you cant see the sky anymore xD

If I want to go the engineer route... Not totally sure where to go for that...

But to try to kinda get this back on track, I do think 65 laps is a good amount for this track, it will definitely test our tunes, mental endurance, and bladders!

Booo for Pitt. They are coming into the ACC next year and I'm a UNC fan. What kind of engineering are you looking in to? I'm in Civil Engineering myself. 👍 I'm guessing your looking into mechanical...sooo much cooler IMO.

Yep, mechanical. Then again, designing part of a wing for a f1 team would be a sweet job, or being one of the mechanics (who probably are geniuses) would be fun too!

I'm going into chemical engineering. I would like to be the guy who makes the materials that you design the wing out of. Heck I could make a composite lighter and stronger than we have right now.

We've gone with meds in ALMS. There have been no issues so far. As far as tuning, all I did was soften the suspension just a tad. Everything should transfer over with whatever tune you have.

This is for GT class only. LMP or DP are allowed to stick with softs to help with traction.

So DP sticks with softs? I can regain traction just fine in Nordschleife on the R92 in 1030kg and 500hp with mediums. I have no problem with the class sticking to softs, but it feels unrealistic and the wear feels unrealistic.

Why do you think we run meds in ALMS? And you race with us so you should already know all of this.

But softs make it... more unrealistic. I just hate the way they handle. Mediums would definitely make things more challenging, fun, and closer to the field. Grip monsters won't act the same with mediums, and etc. It's up to the poll.

@FH I know how they feel. I also know that we already use softs. Using softs for a full season in these cars just isn't fun. The racing is fun, but driving alone, the softs are too boring. The poll will finalize the choice, so my opinion isn't relevant.

We won't be using 2 different tires for different classes. We will either all be using softs, or mediums, of course you can use mediums if we do softs, but you get it...

I'm trying to understand where you're coming from. Are you saying that DP should go with meds also? I dont have an issue with that either. 👍

If I had it my way, GT would go to sports soft and DP can go with either racing hards or meds. (Sorry Polar, I guess we were typing our posts at the same time. What you have proposed is fine with me though)

The last couple of seasonals have kind of opened my eyes to the harder compound tires. I've come to realize that they arent so bad after all. They have actually pointed out some of my flaws with some of the tunes I have.

I think that wouldn't work.

1 compound for the minimum. Anything else your free to use.

Compound rules work for touring cars, I don't think it'd be the best thing here.

No worries I will just treat continental like I do ALMS careful be good to tires keep up with pack and avoid wrecks.

After that, it is free game I believe. I am actually guaranteed whichever car because even if Ant chooses the Sauber, I can keep it too.
