So let's start making changes to the specs:

Ferrari- using this as benchmark? No change?

Audi- -weight?

Lotus- +weight? -HP?

Mazda- -weight?

Camaro- +HP?

cnd01
Keep Audi the same.
+5 bhp Camaro
Lotus -15 bhp
Mazda -10 kg

This is easier to translate than

"ERMMM Yup, that needs to be more even to that car, but that car needs more weight, but that car just sucks. We have to use it though."

I think thats a good start moving it along slow is the way to go 👍.

I hit 1:48's with the Evora in offline practice. No fancy tune. It is fast (top speed) at 430hp. I didn't move ballast any, and it did want to step out under hard braking (T1). So I put rear brake balance at 0 while the front was at 3. I'm sure with some more time 47's would be normal. Not everyone has time for tuning or the skills to make their tune work. And I usually run camber at 0.5 front and 0.8 rear. For tire wear.

Sounds about right Seth. What stage weight reduction are you running? I have mine all the way at 3. Dont know if I like the feeling of having to add all that weight back on. I may have visit the dealer and see how one feels like with just stage 2.

With stage 3 reduction, the Evora can't go heavier than 1302 kgs, so if we do decide to add weight to it, I will have to buy another one to test with just stage 2 reduction.

I made this mistake with the first Evora I bought.

I adjust to my tunes quickly in some cars while others I struggle. I tell ya, I had trouble getting 1:49's in the Audi when I tuned it a lot and spend a good couple hours practice, rather than I did getting 1:48.1 (right off the bat, pretty much) in the Evora and hit 1:47.3 in a fraction of the time I spent on the Audi.

I reckon the tune's wrong somehow. I was doing 1:50 on Hards in the Audi before...

I used my evora on weight stage 1 cause I don't like adding too much ballast. (I do think with more tuning I could get mid 46s though on 430/1300)

I'm all at sea with getting the Audi at 1:49's on mediums. I can do it.... just. Then funny thing is I can get 1:50's quite nicely on Hards....

I think I'm generally all at sea on the Evora too. 1:47.3 will probably be my best.

I made the same mistake. I thought it was 1200 kgs by mistake. I was the one who came up with these specs in the first place along with Polar. Total blonde moment :P

Soooooo

Cnd and I have been playing with the idea of making a league thread for the grand am series I have, Rolex and Continental. We would add the total showcase soon.

The thread would just show they're related, and you could work your way up.

We'd need a name though....

Gran Turismo Grand Am General Discussion? I really wouldn't notice, but that'd mean one more thread to check everyday.

Well, for starters, we should probably close this thread. No point in having it anymore. That would save some confusion.

Focus on the season 3 thread before making another thread to worry about. Once we get the season 3 thread up, this thread and the other thread will be closed, and then we can think about getting another Grand Am thread up.

We shouldn't need another Grand-Am thread after the Season 3 thread goes up, and after the spot race is finished.

But then if the Season 3 thread goes up, which will be soon, there won't be a point for that thread! It'll die easily, and waste space. We should just close this thread and move onto the thread in interest checks and discussions subforum.

That's what I said above.

I was talking about the GTPGA thread. We don't really need that, unless we have about 5 leagues or more running.

I agree with you there. I think having multiple leagues in one thread would just make it a little more confusing.

Ideally since me and Cnd would do it together, it would come up Friday, along side the season 3 thread.

But I think we'll wait for some things to come together.

We would also start the "Total Showcase" to complete the grand am line up.

Although I think we could use the real season 3 thread ASAP. Now we're just stalling....
