cnd01What would we use the Grand-Am thread for? I like the idea of having a general thread, but what would we use it for?
Well, we could use it to show they're organized, have a lounge dedicated to all the races. We could use it to discuss new seasons of the 3 series, and use it to plan Total.
We could use it to show the past champions, points, and that type of stuff.
There are definitely things it could be used for.
cnd01That sounds good. We can have race highlights on there too. That's where we can post videos about incidents to keep the arguments off of the race threads.
Definitely!
We could have a list of registered drivers! A link to the YouTube channel.. And all that fun stuff!
cnd01Cool I'm pretty much sold on it.
On another subject, the next update might help tire wear in endurance races. I'm not sure if it will be for online too.
Tez_SP17There's going to be an update on GT5's physics?
Software update 2.08 brings with it the following new features, in addition to correcting bugs and other issues:
•Now possible to select “Disable collisions” in the [Event Settings] of online races.
•ID’s are now shown above cars when watching online races.
•Response of the clutch pedal when using the steering wheel controllers “G25 Racing Wheel”, “G27 Racing Wheel”, “T500RS” and “TH8RS” has been adjusted.
•Rate of tire wear in endurance races has been slowed (excluding formula cars).
•Amount of air resistance change when altering aerodynamic wing settings has been increased.
•Autopilot has been adjusted to prevent colliding with the wall when exiting the pit lane on the Tsukuba circuit.
•Adjusted the changes in control characteristic when altering vehicle height from standard height. (Vehicle height can be changed by adjusting ride height, either by installing a suspension kit or adjusting a full customizable suspension kit.)
paulmac2k9Downforce adds more air resistance could throw a spanner in for the Audi and Ferrari with 10, 40 DF to the others 0, 20.
freshseth83It won't happen till the 25th. This won't affect me much because I don't use those stupid rear extra low, front extra high tunes. I usually just do -5 at the most, and +5 at the most. Never anything drastic. What I am looking forward to is that downforce settings. I really hope they make it so that cornering speeds are represented more accurately with higher settings. And most of all, I'm looking forward to the Weider HSV 010 (2010 SuperGT driver champions).
freshseth83It may mess up the specs for DP too. Some cars may drive better than others when full downforce is applied.
You should make the unnecessary white in the back transparent, and make it a PNG image. Quality is just much better than JPG.
I meant transparency like this:
This is the JPG version of it:
Err...
Okay, that image is fine
If I may help: Polar, when you save the image, don't save it as a jpg. Save it as the other option. In the description, on pixlr.com (I use it, too,) you'll see a transparent option.
Alright, thanks!
I just closed out of it... gosh, I hope it'll still work!
cnd01I'm thinking this update might throw a wrench into GT specs. There are big discrepancies in the aero of the 458 and R8 compared to the other GT cars. Now we will have to test a little more. I'm glad PD is making the cars able to be bought individually. If there is a car I DON'T WANT to pay for, it's the Subaru BR-Z.
