What would we use the Grand-Am thread for? I like the idea of having a general thread, but what would we use it for?

Well, we could use it to show they're organized, have a lounge dedicated to all the races. We could use it to discuss new seasons of the 3 series, and use it to plan Total.

We could use it to show the past champions, points, and that type of stuff.

There are definitely things it could be used for.

That sounds good. We can have race highlights on there too. That's where we can post videos about incidents to keep the arguments off of the race threads.

Definitely!

We could have a list of registered drivers! A link to the YouTube channel.. And all that fun stuff!

Cool I'm pretty much sold on it.

On another subject, the next update might help tire wear in endurance races. I'm not sure if it will be for online too.

I think it's just for a spec endurance.

Im curious to see what the ride height changes will be. Cause its not just the ride height settings that need changing. They typically change things that are not listed. Curious to see what those are also.

I remember back then when everyone would postpone races until the next update came out. There used to be an AWESOME FIA series that Jav used to host. He put everything on hold cause of the tire issues. Maybe this will bring it back. :)

Downforce adds more air resistance could throw a spanner in for the Audi and Ferrari with 10, 40 DF to the others 0, 20.

Software update 2.08 brings with it the following new features, in addition to correcting bugs and other issues:

•Now possible to select “Disable collisions” in the [Event Settings] of online races.
•ID’s are now shown above cars when watching online races.
•Response of the clutch pedal when using the steering wheel controllers “G25 Racing Wheel”, “G27 Racing Wheel”, “T500RS” and “TH8RS” has been adjusted.
•Rate of tire wear in endurance races has been slowed (excluding formula cars).
•Amount of air resistance change when altering aerodynamic wing settings has been increased.
•Autopilot has been adjusted to prevent colliding with the wall when exiting the pit lane on the Tsukuba circuit.
•Adjusted the changes in control characteristic when altering vehicle height from standard height. (Vehicle height can be changed by adjusting ride height, either by installing a suspension kit or adjusting a full customizable suspension kit.)

Ahh, the sweet smell of

"NUTS! Now we'll have to push everything back a week..."

It won't happen till the 25th. This won't affect me much because I don't use those stupid rear extra low, front extra high tunes. I usually just do -5 at the most, and +5 at the most. Never anything drastic. What I am looking forward to is that downforce settings. I really hope they make it so that cornering speeds are represented more accurately with higher settings. And most of all, I'm looking forward to the Weider HSV 010 (2010 SuperGT driver champions).

The downforce may mess the specs up for GT, and the spot race is supposed to be the 29th, 4 days may not be enough time.

But hey, it should be better in the long run!

It may mess up the specs for DP too. Some cars may drive better than others when full downforce is applied.

I believe they all have the same downforce. So it won't mess with them much. The ride height will be the main thing. Also, if you really want to run full downforce will be a new question.

DP is near perfect, and I don't think this update will mess with it.

Theres still differences. I've driven all these cars in game and there are real performance differences to them with full aero. I look forward to seeing how my tune for the Toyota works post new update.

Alright everyone!

I've got the season 3 car pictures! (I think they will look SWEET!) These will be the pictures in the car list.

GHS, if you could get some action shots form the past season, I'd like to toss some of those in :)

Track graphics are finished, and I'm about to do the section break thingy..

So, Season 3 thread will be up!

This new update may toss a wrench into the starting times, but we should be able to adapt to the changes soon!

EDIT:

Here's what I have so far:

I feel like something should go in the grey.. but I don't want to make one for each section...

You should make the unnecessary white in the back transparent, and make it a PNG image. Quality is just much better than JPG.

Err...

Okay, that image is fine :D

I think I may have figured it out :D

I think it looks pretty dang cool..

My plan for tomorrow:

Wake up
School :yuck: Pep rally 7th and 8th period for homecoming.. only 150 kids bought tickets... out of 3,000 eligible kids. (Kids dont like it when the administration said "Grinding" was not allowed XD)
Get a killer grooveshark playlist going
Enjoy all of you saying how AWESOME it will be :)

EDIT:

This is going to be what the page break looks like:

....crap.... not see through white.... oh well....

If I may help: Polar, when you save the image, don't save it as a jpg. Save it as the other option. In the description, on pixlr.com (I use it, too,) you'll see a transparent option.

Alright, thanks!

I just closed out of it... gosh, I hope it'll still work!

If you saved it to Facebook, use the URL. If you saved it to your computer, upload the file. If you saved it to a Pixlr account, use your pixlr account. 👍 It'll still work.

I'm thinking this update might throw a wrench into GT specs. There are big discrepancies in the aero of the 458 and R8 compared to the other GT cars. Now we will have to test a little more. I'm glad PD is making the cars able to be bought individually. If there is a car I DON'T WANT to pay for, it's the Subaru BR-Z.

Hey, I like the trifecta of Subaru/Toyota/scion cars... It'll be a cool series! (Someone will do it...)

I like the two racecars!
