The Rolex Sports Car Series- Season 2! Finished! Thanks Everyone!

What should the best tire we use for Season 3 be?

1:18's my friend!!! And possibly some commentating? And some corner naming?

But back to Rolex, well work on the r8's spec. Seems like I got that one terribly wrong...

Seems like, because I was a Mitsubishi fan, I was easily adjusted to the AWD system in the R8. Now, the RX-8 is challenging, but fun and rewarding.

Well either way, it was about 1 second off. That's a poo ton of time. In a 45 lap race, that's 45 seconds behind assuming all else goes perfectly (which it never does...)

One Audi driver was lapped twice, the other; once. However, the Ferrari driver wasn't far off the faster Audi driver.

Hmm.. So a possible buff to the ferrari?

I'm not so sure about the Ferrari.... I mean, should technically be a bit faster this year with 30 less kg, and 10 less bhp. Not by a lot, mind, but by enough. However, that seems to not be the case, their because the driver hasn't gotten used to the car yet, or the specs are really too low, or the tune isn't right on the car.

I have been comparing lap times. While the lap times for some cars, (Mazda, Viper etc.) are faster this season, than last season, the Ferrari's not on that same pace. So, there is a problem with the "overseas" cars. The Mazda's great, though, so not every international car... just the Audi and Ferrari. We need someone to test the Camaro, too. No one rep'd the Camaro on Saturday.

The first two. The tune I did was pretty good, it fixed a lot of things, but it doesn't have the power to push it.

I did get very unlucky at Daytona, I spun here and there. Not from over steering, but from touching some grass and it pulling me in.

The Camaro's going to be on pace or faster, as I've said when I tested it at lower specs (471 bhp) to break it in. What concerns me is the tyre life.

The Viper of last season was definitely faster, I was going 1:45's easy, whereas this season 1:45 are much harder to come by. But this season the trade-off for raw speed in favour of aerodynamics and tyre wear definitely suit me more.

Touching the grass is a killer, and Turn 1 is the worst, since even touching the inside grass can screw your braking right up. Unfortunately I don't have the Ferrari broken in.

I think mine may be broken in, 106 miles I think. I'm not sure if that's fully broken in though. And yeah, grass sure did kill me in that race. Did you not see me wipe out on the Bus Chicane?

Strangely enough, my problems in practice were on the infield. I think truly broken in is probably closer to 250 miles though.

So I'll give up the Nissan to Nizmo. Tell me if I can use the 787 or not. I think a new 'friendship' is in order and we need to get that back in place. So lets drop the hard feelings, the negativity and all else so we can get back to fun racing.

I have some hard feelings about this, but I will drop them. I appreciate you seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I agree and will forgive of everything we said that was hostile. I hope you will do likewise.

What I meant to Shin was I liked him as my teammate. He has experience and drives clean. I will join the Mazda camp if he is has no hard feelings about it.

If there is any room left I would like to sign-up to drive. The RX-8 or the camaro ss 2010 is there a spot open in either of those cars?

Both Camaro's are taken as are the RX-8's. Well in fact all the cars are. However, Both Camaro's and me (RX-8) have to turn up to keep their seat. Hence, you may as well turn up to the event with those cars to this weekends preseason event at Tokyo. If someone doesn't turn up, you have a slot to fill. Also, some others may lose their slots if they don't turn up. Although, I shall not yield my RX-8, now that I actually have the weekend off :sly:

Ok thanks I have no intrest in racing in DP though if any spots in DP open up.

We aren't starting proper season straight after this weekend's race are we? Only I'm pretty much screwed for the first few rounds in that case.

Next week - Graveyard shift.
Following week - Birthday celebrating is likely
First Saturday in August - bad luck comes in three's, though nothing's schedule to screw me over.

Welcome!

I'd bet that you would get a Camaro drive if you showed up this weekend!

And storm, there will be a week in between the pre season, and regular season (seems like we may need it) I'll get some dates up after this weekend's race.

I'm with Storm on this one. I'll be busy on the 14th, so I wouldn't be able to show up if we had a race.

Ok I will try and make it.

Actually, here....

14th July - Sale week, so on a graveyard shift since after the store closes we have to clear up and restock the floor.

21st July - I'm probably either doing the same or I'll somehow get off lightly.

27th & 28th July - 27th is my Birthday, 28th I'll probably be going out for a meal then clubbing. Either way, I want my 23rd to be about getting mullered to ****!

Should be ok after then. Nitro won't be back free til August or something (I remember something was said on this but can't really remember what it was), and I dunno how long Flyin will be out for with his burnt out TV, but yeah....

I mean you could add a third pre-season race, as an idea to flesh out testing and give no-showers one more chance to show their face before they get booted. Or you could have 2 weeks separation. Gives people time to hang out freely with friends before Summer really kicks in.

I was never really keen on starting this during the Summer anyway since I know people will want to hang out rather than be glued to the PS3.

Yea, I'm not sure how to do this either, im leaving the last week in July for mid ohio (ALMS and Indycar) then the weekend after that Indy (Rolex and two NASCAR races) and from there I go to the beach for like two weeks. So I was hoping James could go, but....yea....

Just had a idea... What if we made the summer time every other week? So we'd have a race one week, and then have the next week off? And do it like that until say... Middle of September?

Preseason race at Spa? Just when we can get more people to show up and because Spa isn't on the race schedule, so it would be a fun little exhibition.

Granted, I'd prefer to get as much racing in as possible, before college in September...
