We appreciate your contributions, but you insist on breaking the rules just because you don't like them. People have different opinions. I wanted the 787B too. I am not going to break the rules just because I don't agree with them.

Break what rules? Driving a car that was a part of the original list that one person dictated wasn't included? How would you like to test regs for them to be shot down by someone who doesn't even use those cars?

You can't have your cake and eat it sometimes, Seth.

I do admit (kills me to though, jk) that you did give everyone a reason to race harder in GT, and a reliable host lobby. What annoys me is that you do this, then decide to go "screw this, I'ma do my own thing" and **** it up for yourself by bitching when things either don't go your way or are apparently too difficult for you.

I've stated this before, but this time, seriously consider getting your head out of your ass.

I did a lot of specs testing for the GT side of rolex before your ass even joined, while someone else did DP testing, again, before your ass even joined. I made do with a Viper when someone equally as bitchy as you showed up wanting the Audi R8, that I was originally going to run, but gave the lonely little Viper a chance and set myself a challenge.

I don't mention the help or advice I've given because I try to shy away from the egotistical "actually I said this." bulls**t because I am the type of person who's concerned with who made up what idea, as long as it works. If you want me to continue with what I HAVE done, then here:

Originally, I did plant the seed of making DP and GT more realistic on a smaller scale long before any mention of season two was made public. Its a shame I don't have the PM to prove it now. Also, I had already began testing the Viper ACR for season 2, since Indy of season 1. 465 bhp and 1280 kg was what I tested, and it was pretty close to the eventual 455 bhp and 1260 kg it currently runs in season 2... I've given some other ideas here and there, but nothing really significant to mention, aaaaand I've forgotten. Hehe, oh yeah, an idea about having everyone follow under a "paused" formation, but it'd take ages to reach the line on certain tracks if we did use it, so it was disregarded.

Look at post 1. Do you see a 787B in the car list? I don't necessarily agree with not having the 787B either. What if I went into your 90s GT1/GTS series and decided arbitrarily that I can't drive the Panoz and instead I will use the Lister Storm. I decide this in the race lobby 5 minutes before the start. I go on to win the race overall. What would you think about that? While you specced all of the cars, you decided that it wasn't fit for the series. Just you. You don't run GTS class. You specced all of those cars. You ultimately decided what was in and what was out. When I asked if another car could be included, you denied my request. I respect that. It is your series. You make those rules. I follow them. Even though Polarbear doesn't run in DP, he can decide just like you.

Guys! I'm in the Toyota! Check the OP!

And Storm WAS working on the ACR spec since Indy last season. Just to confirm his statement.

And to possibly stop the argument... And I hate myself for giving this as a option...

Cnd, will you move to a 787b and give up your spot in the sauber to make a 787b team with Seth? And for this to happen, Anthony, would you drive the Sauber? So DP would look like this;

Sauber: Shin, Anthony

Toyota: Wardez, Polar

Mazda: Cnd, Seth

And here are the people that MUST show up this weekend for them to stay in the series;

Wardez
Polar
FH
Agentorunge
Nitro
Mitch
Damu
James

I am reluctant to move because I think Shin and I would be ideal teammates. We are both from Southeast U.S. I am from Alabama; he is from Georgia I believe. If it will get Seth's panties out of a wad; however, I will do it. Also Shin would have to be ok with it.

Well, everyone has to agree with it. If one person doesn't, it won't happen. Seth can move to GT if he really doesn't like the Nissan. I'm thinking quiet a few spots will open up...

I'm not going to argue with you all anymore. I was under the impression this was a preseason race that was further used to spec the cars? I didn't think using the 787 was such an issue because it was brought up before? I don't get why I can't just run it as a privateer entry instead? Then Anthony can keep his Nissan. I don't get how it fudged on me though. I tried it before and it drove ok, but now I can't control it. That's another reason why I dropped it in the 1st place. I thought this was preseason and me not using it would be basically confirming my dropping of it before the regular season? I didn't cheat any. I even ran less hp because it was 20kg lighter. When we were specing the cars I brought that up. I don't want people thinking I got an advantage by running it. It wasn't as fast as Anthony's Nissan until low fuel then I got to the 1:38's late in the race. Basically I'm ASKING that if no one wants to use it with me, can you just let me run it as a privateer team would IRL.

Oh while its in my head, might I suggest an option for cautions?

Why don't we all just:
A) slow to caution speed wherever we are on track.
B) come into the pits, starting with the front runner of each class.
C) get issue sorted out, possibly tell car involved to stay where they are off-track until all other cars pit in.
D) impose a pit penalty (timed) on those involved in the incident once the other they get back to the pits.
E) send GT cars out in order they were before incident. Gives GT a chance to unlap themselves from DP.
F) send DP cars out in order they were before incident, when the GT cars reach a designated area on track.
G) formation lap.
H) Race resumes.

Essentially it'd be red-flag situation.

The only other way I can see caution working otherwise is if DP P-1 slows down, while everyone catches up to P-1 so that they can slow down. People can then worry about position shuffling and wave-bys to unlap from other cars/classes.

Its possible to have heavy damage on, and actually it'd be more appropriate as it forces the hand of crashes culprits to stay off-track instead of soldiering on til they're car repairs itself.

I'm reluctant to have a privateer team is because some people really want teammates, yes, I know it doesn't always work out this way...

I feel as though I've been too nice already... There are plenty of GT spots open. If Anthony doesn't offer to go privateer with the Nissan... Then the privateer is a no go. Period.

And storm had a caution idea, and I don't feel like copying and pasting from Skype... So I'll post my new idea for a 2 lap caution.

Lap 1: both classes get in order this lap (lap after the "caution" is typed in chat..

Lap 2: both classes pit, and line up in order after they come out of pits. Race resumes at the end of this lap.

You were host weren't you? I wouldn't be surprised if that had some really odd affect, but given you've hosted a lot of races it does seem a bit strange that you can't control the Nissan.
Seth can move to GT if he really doesn't like the Nissan. I'm thinking quiet a few spots will open up...
No. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Y U PROPOSE THIS!? :D

^^ this is my input ^^ I do not have the power to make the decision. If polarbear lets you then I would have no problems and accept it.

Thing is I accepted more cars in my series from people who came out and said this specific car fits. And they were right. These aren't exact DP's, just like the Zonda and XJ220 aren't exact GTS cars in my series. AND we spec'd the 787B and XJR9 already, so it's not like these are unseen cars no one has used.

The difference is the team concern. IRL it's manufacturer points. A team is 1 car 2 cars whatever. I just don't see the big deal with running something that WAS accepted before but dropped because a team rule was put in place. There's ways to go about this instead of saying 'this is final'. I thought you got 1 car change per season, no? I'd rather DP than GT because the class was lacking, it still is. Plus IMO there's closer competition (no offense to GT guys). I obviously missed the part where we made it only 3 cars, which kinda kills the spice of different strengths and weaknesses of the cars.

It's not that you changed. I have no problems with you changing. Just you changing to something that isn't supposed to be run with the current rules. If the GT class has no competition then we should open up more DP slots. The 787B would be the natural addition.

I had a few options with the 6 cars in DP at one point when I mentioned it to polar a while back, that said it was an idea for both DP and GT, and it did involve having teams and individuals. I think one way was to have 2 team manufacturers, and two one-man manufacturers in DP, another way was to have 6 independant ones altogether.

Personally I like the idea of teams since I tend rather to share the glory rather than take it all for myself, whilst still having that healthy, clean rivalry that I love so much about the Driver's Championship side of things.

A similar idea for GT was floating around in my mind with a mixture of 3-man, 2-man, or even 1-man choices. 3-man teams could have been for a car with a comparatively unknown background given "slower" specs, since there's more people on-track in the same car. 2-man could be for those car with a known background in the series, that saw success or good standings within the previous season, whilst given "normal" specs. 1-man cars could be "normal specs" cars, with one possible car given "faster" specs with a restriction to a newcomer.

Of course, this was just an idea floating around in my head.

I thought the reason no one had those cars (787B/XJR9) was they were too slow or hard to use. I didn't think about the 3 car make limit. I'm trying to use DP's, but I can't drive the Nissan for some reason. I'd like to use the 787B or even the XJR9 if allowed. Limited to 3 choices kinda waters it down when everyone has their spots taken then some of the regulars weren't even there. What then?

Honestly the caution system would have worked yesterday had Seth slowed down when the caution was called the first time on lap 23 instead of slowing on lap 25. I don't know why you waited Seth because you would have won the race either way with many laps it would have taken to reset the field under caution anyways.
Then after you won the raced you bragged about how you were running at 495hp. That's 5hp less then what I was running. Honestly, that's not a big difference seeing as how your 787B was at 1030kg. If anything you had an advantage..........

I love how people say things like that little 20kg makes a huge difference, especially @Daytona's straits where power is the key. If the car was so much better why wasn't anyone jumping on it before the S2 thread came up? Also, I slowed when I saw "Caution Seth". Then I asked why. Real life cautions don't mean you stop. The lap was almost over I was on the straight right before the chicane. I drove slow but no one said to pit as I already crossed the line. What am suppose to do? No one made it clear. There wouldn't be any difference because the caution came so late.

I have not problem Polar, but I think do this is not a sport attitude, you disappointed me Seth, but if you want to drive other car it's ok for me, I will keep driving the Nissan because is a challenge for me, I know maybe is the most difficult but, I accept this, there is a rules and we have to respect it!

And Seth, too bad your comment: "...I'm not Anthony, I don't have money for a wheel...", you don't know about me, about my work, about my money, about my life....you said alot of bull***t, I thought you was different and a serious man!
Going back to the sport, for me, you can drive the Mazda, will be rewarding for me if I can beat you with my Nissan.

I'm not reading all of this. What I see, is someone who makes Anthony look like Vettel: "I liked the car this veekend. It vas goot." What I see, is Seth waiting 'til the last minute to sign up for a car, not liking it, and switching.

I'm okay with him switching, sure, but, let's consider the evidence we have:

  • Seth raced in a Mazda
  • Seth's Mazda wasn't an official car
  • Seth won with the official car
  • People told Seth not to
  • Seth had a thicker head than... anyone else
  • We let him drive it
  • It didn't turn out
  • Seth "disobeyed" his free-win caution period
  • I lost track of why Seth was complaining
  • I still don't see why Seth is complaining
  • I came here to race
  • I still want to race
  • I will run with less power (less than 475 in Mazda)

Somewhere along the while, I noticed that 6 people didn't show up. One of them included my Mazda teammate. Time to kick some 🤬 🤬 Damu, you're not leaving after ITCC. No no no no no. NO! I need teammate! Very much... This way, we can run different tire strategies, and have twice the chance to WIN. :)

So what I gathered was...

Seth made Anthony mad for like the first time...

Seth probably could've been kicked, with good reason

And damu needs to show up!

So you think the Mazda is better at 475hp?

And storm said the r8 could use some less hp and weight. I'll recheck Skype for the possible new specs.

And Seth, i just remembered to answer something for you...

Preseason isn't for adding new cars. Preseason is for perfecting specs and getting used to the people your racing around.

My Mazda handles like 🤬 in the slower corners, because I can't use more than 20% throttle without slightly rotating the car, and the rears are dead after 5 laps of Daytona. So, I need a little less power than 475, and I need to really work the tuning setup. While my tires were still fresh, though, I was able to outrun Storm on every part of the track...

So I need to further test the car?

I just need to finish my tuning setup. I would tell you guys to allow a MAXIMUM of 475 hp, because that was good, until the rear tires were worn, before even Storm's lard Dodge thing's tires. The Mazda weighs 1-0 kg less. It should be much better for tire life. I think it will be, though, once I let the rear roll a little, and maybe try with some new camber/suspension/LSD settings.

I don't mean that the Mazda's too fast, immediately. I was *competitive* for a period of time. But, anyone with the replay will see, that there's a HUGE DIFFERENCE between front and rear tire wear. That's no one's fault but my own.

What do you mean?

1- What I see, is someone who makes Anthony look like Vettel
2- Seth made Anthony mad for like the first time...

I don't get the Vettel one either...

And I mean that you don't really get upset, but Seth got you pretty upset.
