That is the next track... The LAST thing we need now is a street track... I get chills when I think of Rome!

I wasn't a part of that. I was stalking the forum at work when that race ended. That is enough of an idea as to how that was. I would like to thank the GT class for not causing too much grief.(besides jakob) You guys were very kind to me. You didn't go out of your way to get out of my way. It is my job as a DP to find a way around without causing an accident. The bright orange vipers looked sweet out there. :sly: I am sure this race set some record for cautions. I made a grand total of 1 green flag pit stop.

Only good thing that came out of Rome: we weeded out possible "complainers" after Jakob is gone, I'm fairly happy with our current group of racers. Hopefully these short races will get everyone a friends again.

Guys, if you take the inside of someone and hear a bumping sound, look behind and if that driver spun due to contact, wait for him and let him retain his position. Even if other drivers who were not involved pass you, you must wait for the driver you hit to retake the track. Failing to wait should result in a penalty for the offending driver. Same with corner cutting and you gain a position, give back the spot and resume racing. If two (or more) drivers get in front of you and they take each other out, you may pass them without waiting - it wasn't your fault. Penalties should be as shown:

-time penalties
-grid position penalties
-points deduction
-disqualification from the race
-race bans
-series ban

And it'll vary on the incident (example - Does it affect the outcome of the race? Was it just a simple bump between midfielders? Etc.) and drivers can voice their opinion on it.

Grrrrr, y u no respect Mazda? I was so alone, once Damu d/cd, and every car I saw was orange orange orange... So much orange! :grumpy: 🤬 even the grumpy face!

Honestly, I don't mind Rome or Tokyo Route 246. They're both great street circuits that are fast and have good flow. As for Special Stage Route 5, I prefer Clubman instead. It's just a personal preference.

I saw it, just didn't want to see it. The cautions are ok, they just felt slow. If we bumped the speed up, I think they'll be fine.

It's hard to see the Mazda out there with the bright orange blocking my view  MrM if you painted your Mazda bright yellow, I would have said something about your car  It was fast though. SpeedSource is more about speed and business rather than having a flashy car. :sly: Nothing against having a bright orange viper :dopey:

:banghead: I honestly don't care about the cautions right now, if you saw my quote it said stuff about PENALTIES, CLEAN DRIVING, and RETURNING POSITION TO SOMEONE YOU HIT OFF TRACK. I find that we have a problem with clean driving, and knocking people off track. If someone knocks a guy out off track, the someone will just speed off, and it's not fair to the driver on the other end of the bumper.

I have a problem with complainers more.

Woah, GT cars are almost running flat out for parts of it. :( It took tb and daiba some time to get caught back up, after Seth gave Storm the wave by. By the time I had typed "Storm, slow" on the controller, Storm had already gotten to the start/finish line.

GT cars, we always just pass the DP cars, unless we're not down a lap. That's a strict rule. Daiba and tb, please ensure that you don't even consider waiting behind DP.

I was a serious supporter of the 4 lap caution system used in the real Rolex series, because I knew that the field wouldn't be bunched up for restarts. :(

I know, but 4 laps is abit long, and cautions breed cautions. We did good on restarts (DP, not sure about GT) and they get weird when the field is really spread out. There isn't any getting around it.

Sorry for complaining, then, but it's just I read through the messages about the race (need to see the replay for myself before I fully jump to conclusions) and I thought, "Wow, that seemed like an interesting/dirty race, maybe there should be penalties to stop bickering and people from acting like that." I'm fine with cautions at the moment, they help me rethink strategy and cool me off, and fine with the "short races every day" thing, it's good to test the people you're driving with.

I like the current caution policy. It gives you the opportunity to stay out or pit. The DP will drive slow, but once everyone is caught up then we up the pace to say 100 mph 161 kph. That will speed things up tenfold.

I'm digging this idea. And if need be, gt can slow down to almost a stop. DP won't do a whole lap (I'd hope) before GT could get their act together.

Well, I never tend to get too far behind, today excluded (Jakob, lap 29 (?)) and always try my best to bunch the field up.

My idea is to go with FH's idea. But, instead of forcing EVERYONE to go into the pits, everyone slows and stops, as if stop boxing in ITCC, at the grid boxes, and we wait from there. That way, some people can go into pits and pause, and some can stay out, and pause.

I'm REALLY against the idea of stopping. I'm fine with the current system, if we need another caution lap, just type it.

Or maybe we'll have people pit stop, and everyone who doesn't pit stays at 30mph and waits for everyone to gather up, then once we're all together we go 100mph until the last corner, stay at 60mph and then restart the race.

That is my idea exactly.

That's a idea too. I like that idea.

I got a good amount of pictures taken of the incident between cnd and I, also some shots of Anthony's close calls. I don't wanna start nothing, but I was upset people were saying I was driving dirty. Kinda hard to avoid someone lagging, and it probably played a big part in the cnd incident as well. I know I held my line down near the yellow and I didn't turn into cnd to ruin his momentum. I figured he'd drive around the outside with his draft. I'll post pictures soon.

Here's the first incident with Anthony on lap 58 or 59 IIRC-

This is how we came out of turn 5 initially

No bias here, but you kinda held him down. I think he was expecting you to use all of the track.

I am calling it a night. I will be online tomorrow probably doing some form of testing. PM or PSN message me if you want to join. :)

This is the 2nd incident with Anthony, I took a couple of extra shots to show his 'overtakes' on cnd

this is him on cnd in turn 3 of lap 59 i think

following anthony just fine here

Magically the gap is next to nothing?
roadcoursedaytona14.jpg

wait, notice that brake light in the middle? being brake checked, why?
roadcoursedaytona15.jpg

that light doesn't come on unless you're braking. I know because I have the R92.

I didn't cause anything, I stayed my line, he comes in hot and pushed me aside. I don't HAVE to move aside for him. None of you would. He moved me, but proceeded to say at the end that I was driving dirty.
