If we drop our worst finish at the end of the season, we should be fine.

Please tell me we have that rule.

Sorry, we don't do that, but WHAT A FINISH!

Cnd and Seth: DO NOT ARGUE ON THE THREAD, PM ME!

Next week's race countdown. Update the OP with this and sorry I missed the race.

How did Audi do?

That was interesting, and I do have my own little complaint if I may speak. On the second to last caution we had I had asked if I should catch up (probably didn't need to but I was tired and confused) so I did and then someone told GT to go green. I was more then half way across the track!! If there wasn't a second caution I would have never caught back up and I'm basically saying it was an unfair advantage.

I think for anyone new to the series, they have to run practice races with us first. Then we can judge if they should be able to race with us or not. That guy in the red 458 with the red wheels was ruining it for everyone. So many cautions were on his part.

I have a couple of concerns with the way we do our cautions.

1. They just take way to long.
2. We cant get organized. There were way to many times where the GT field was not grouped together at the start.

I think there is a simpler way we can do this plus save some laps.

If a caution comes out, why dont we just all pull into the pits next time you come around. Pause, the game and just wait. This gives the rest of the field to catch up. This also gives us a chance to ask any questions in the chat box. There were to many times where I was following someone and they would pause to say something. Slowing the rest of the field down. Then we have to play catch up again.

When everyone is in the pits, all maintenance is done. Polar can call out for DP to exit the pits. GT will wait till the first turn before we are able to un pause and exit. Everyone gets into position and we can go green the next lap.

This only looses one lap for us. No guessing on if DP should pit on this lap and GT on the next one. Everyone just pits if there is a caution. Nice and simple.

This is exactly what I was talking about!

Agreed. Simple yet effective, I actually thought about cautions this way, didn't think you guys would like it. Although mine was a bit more different - call caution, DP waits in pits until GT pits, then both go out of pits and resume race next lap. Maybe a tiny difference but generally the same idea, I vote this as new caution procedure.

I am disappoint. I chose to stay out for one caution, and was doing well, and my car was faster than yours in the pit stops. The Speedsource pit crew was incredible today. Surely, you can't take away that competitive strategist's viewpoint...

Yeah, for some reason some cars are much faster in/out the pit box than others, depending on where it is you're actually stationed. Maybe its just the car itself, I dunno. It's wierd though....

Haha, I nearly ran out of fuel.

I was taking on fuel. Thought we were doing all the laps.

Reading the rules: always a sure bet. FH, Storm was decently quick at the end, and my car was really hooked up until Storm and Jakob (kick this kid) decided to forget to brake or whatever. I definitely had a one second lead after the restart, which was obliterated by Jakob. So, I was taken out/cheated/passed before the start/finish line 5 or 6 times by Jakob. He's never coming back, right?

I must say guys, I'm REALLY disappointed with EVERYONE. We go a whole season with no penalties, and now we have multiple in the first race. If we have to remove cautions, I will.

As for a new caution procedure because the current is "too long"- I think that if anything we can speed up a little and slow down right before the line. They're this long so people can cool down. (would've been useful today...) but I'll check out some options.

We will be having shorter races again this week. This time, to get to know how to race with each other. Tracks will be voted upon by everyone, and they'll probably be at like 9 eastern or something (like last week).

Finishing order:

DP:

1. Cnd01/Seth (Before penalties)
2. Seth/Cnd01 (Before penalties)
3. Anthony
4. Polar

GT:

1. Storm
2. Mel
3. FH
4. Tbw
5. Diaba
6. Damu (D/C)
7. Jakob (James, you said he was good? YA LIED)

Penalties will not be given out (if they are given out) Until I have seen a replay, and gotten both drivers sides of the story.

Cnd HAS apologized for fighting with Seth in the lobby, and for causing the wreck. (I think) I'm still waiting for a message from Seth, hopefully we can settle this conflict without too much anger. (Yes, I just added some words to a Talledega Nights quote)

But ALL new drivers will have to run a practice race with us to avoid another Jakob.

That's all for now...

Thanks PB. I talked with Seth ATF and he seemed calmer. My words: "Use polite words to explain your side of the story, and what happened."

He seemed pretty convinced that he had to turn to the right a bit, to avoid the pits, after, according to him, cnd was bumping him.

My honest take is: if cnd was turning left, and Seth was turning right... :yuck: That tends to lead to contact.

Cnd said he flipped out. I don't want to put words in his mouth, but what I got from his message was:

Seth and I were racing REALLY hard and I got a great run out of the bus stop. Seth bumped me a bit, took away my advantage. I (being him) flipped out and spun him.

Not justifying it, but he seemed calm, and accepted any penalties.

And if we REALLY want to get at everyone...

WHAT WERE Y'ALL DOING AT THE BUS STOP THE LAP BEFORE!!! Everyone was spinning and Anthony totally spun, Seth swerved and stuff, I try to dodge it and get hit... And I get the worst of it.... To be completely honest, I had just as much of a shot as anyone, I had made up a 3 second+ gap and with 2 laps left get seemingly taken out.

I really think that Cnd and Seth should talk it out. And talking it out doesn't mean harping on being older/younger than someone. You both are good drivers, or you wouldn't have been as close as you were at the end.

It was a good race. DP was close the whole race really, and anyone could've won. And it almost happened.

And Seth, why were you soooooooo much slower through the bus stop? Even my dad was saying "C'mon! Drew, you can go 10mph faster through there!" were you running THAT much less downforce?

And guys, I had my gear ratio wrong for the race :/ I was maxing out every time I was in the draft like half way trough the tri oval...

You're kidding, right? Did you even bother to look at the GT racing? For most of the race, Dodge and Mazda were all within 0.4 seconds of each other.

I'm confused, and I didn't pay attention to the GT race, and I don't have a replay, only what storm is sending me via skype. If someone would share a replay in the game, that'd be great.

And are you mad?

Speaking of crazy GT shenanigans, your (MrM) spun on the first corner at around the end of the race I believe almost hit me! :scared: I don't know if you hit the others but it was like drifting up on the guardrail close. A shame I didn't end up with you guys at the end, I forgot about pitting even though I told myself the whole lap and braked to late and paid for it.

At Jakob, yes. I think, if I knew where he lived, I'd leave a few sticky notes, reminding him that he's not welcome in any racing series I'm in. It IS pretty irritating, being taken out, on lap 57, in turn 1, by a guy whose main goal was to crash into us. He didn't have any idea about tire wear (as proven by the fact that he brought out a caution just by skidding about with no tire left on the rear,) and continually skipped positions under cautions, and caused crashes.

I feel sorry for everyone who had to restart anywhere near him, because it's like a death sentence. :grumpy: I was almost LAPPED because of his antics. And, being lapped is NOT part of Speedsource Mazda's strategy, history, or performance.

That wasn't a spin; Storm and Jakob were drafting off of me. That's fine. HOWEVER, they were inside of each other (unable to see each other) and I got hit, with quite a vicious force, and was sent spinning off, collecting 50% of the GT field, because some idiot braked too late. Then, Storm just waltzed on by, and completely forgot about contact concession rules, and I was too angry to even stop to type "Caution" because I was going to spin Storm AND Jakob, but, by this point, in true NASCAR driver fashion, Jakob had spun, or been hit off by Storm.
