Goodnight, Seth. I'm glad that you had fun, and are somewhat calm about the racing incidents that happened today..:ouch:

You seem worked up with the big font. I just said I would post pictures of the incidents. How is it being not calm by showing what happened to me? Come on now.

Here's shots of Anthony losing it in the bus stop

Entering with cnd
roadcoursedaytona16.jpg

here he's almost sideways
roadcoursedaytona17.jpg

I get side swiped here, too late to completely avoid him
roadcoursedaytona18.jpg

I guess he tries to save it here before he t-bones polar into the wall
roadcoursedaytona19.jpg

Anthony somehow caught back up to cnd and I on lap 60 after his spin, but he loses it again

roadcoursedaytona22.jpg

nothing you can do about that

Rolex Series: APR Motorsport

7572751562_7d39bf3246_c.jpg

APR Motorsport driver ghskilla heads in the 1st chicane at Monza for private testing, having not shown up in the Daytona 2 hour race.

For such a good finish for APR's tbwhhs this Saturday in Daytona, his team mate, ghskilla, could not make it to the race. He had been busy with family, and now he has been spotted driving his Audi R8 V10 in Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Monza, Italy. It turns out APR Motorsports is already preparing for the next race, giving driver ghskilla set-ups and tunes for the race in order to catch up to the rest of the field in points. We were also able to get a word with him when he wasn't busy.

Ghs, you've heard that your team mate scored a 4th place in Daytona, what does the team feel right now?
"The team is very proud of tbw, he managed to score in front of both Ferrari's and just fell short of SpeedSource and Sunsetshift. Heard it was one hell of a race, but glad he was able to score plenty of points for the team, and the driver championship."

Were you disappointed that you weren't able to make the race, even with perfect pre-season attendance?
"You know, I've attended every pre-season race, and we've managed to re-spec the car into a competitive car, which I am glad to be a part of. A 4th place finish by tbw show's how much we've improved since the first pre-season at Daytona. I'm disappointed, yes, for preparing all this time and not being able to actually partake in the race. I'm hopeful that I will make it next week."

What are your thoughts on cautions?
"Cautions are fine as they are, but I have a couple of ideas on how to improve them. For example, DP cars should slow to about 30mph and the leading GT cars catch up to the DP cars. GT cars which were lapped by other GT cars may wave-by the other cars and un-lap themselves. Everyone then pits, but some can stay out. Those who stay out will be the leading cars in their respective class, and the cars that are out will drive at 30mph until everyone is together again. That's when they drive at about 100mph until the final corner, where they travel 60mph until the green."

What do you think of your team compared to other teams?
"APR Motorsport has shown improvement all throughout pre-season, and we now have the best car on tires, and also the most consistent. SpeedSource's car is the best on the straight, but it suffers in tire wear and cornering. The Ferrari seems to have quick speed and also decent in tires. SunsetShift's Viper is possibly the most well-rounded, good on the straights, good on the tires, and good on the turns. The Camaros? Not so sure. Never had an accurate measurement on them."

Even after the setback, how do you think you will fare in the championship?
"In pre-season, I was able to finish high in Tokyo and almost won in Nurburgring due to just being consistent and good on the tires, while waiting for an opportunity to pounce at the group fighting for position ahead of me. I won at Monza by being opportunistic, pouncing on Mel's mistake and winning even though there was about a 5 second gap the lap before. If I can keep that up, I'd be up there for sure. As for the Manufacturer's, it's going to be tough. SpeedSource and SunsetShift seem to be the frontrunners, but if they make errors while battling they better pray our Audi's aren't behind them to take advantage of their mistakes!"

APR Motorsports now seem to be in their game, and driver ghskilla is becoming confident in his this season, though not having shown up in the Daytona race. Will this be just cockiness, or will APR back it up with the results?

Here is what my view was on the incident at the end with cnd.

this is as far as I come up from after the turn, but I'm still ahead

Hmm... Hard to say. In the off chance from you coming up and bumping into him he may have turned right to get off you, then left to correct himself which ended badly with you sideways and him in the grass. Just a thought.

That is NOT the case anymore, ACTUALLY. the Ferrari's have the guts on the straights, now, and I was able to stay out as long on fuel and tires as the Vipers, while still maintaining a good pace all throughout the race.

As for the Front-Runners comment, it's really going well so far. Dodge got two drivers on the podium, but at least Mazda was able to get a podium too. That was difficult, considering the number of times I was taken out.

I'll write up a race report and such soon.

That may be the case with the first contact. But I moved down as I showed. I never came back up. Everytime I run this track, I stay as close to the yellow line as possible until the banking ends. When I came off the banking for the final time before the finish line I was in front of him.

I tend not to trust pictures. You can manipulate the story however you want it to come out. I'm speaking in general, not towards you Seth. I think the replay video needs to be seen.

After looking at those. Seth had plenty of room to stay low. He knew CND was going high. He could have stayed low. You can ask Mel. There were plenty of times we were in the same situation and I stayed low and also vice versa. Just my opinion.

I saw it. I think, after two hours, both drivers were angry, and both drivers were driving dirty. I think the whole DP field was a bit... off... but, there was a lot of lag in my replay.

The replays are scewed. Every person's replay shows a different thing. In my replays you see guys jumping all across the screen. In someone else's it'll show me doing it instead. Pictures show what you see. This is what I see. I didn't manipulate any picture. Their from my replay. You can see the timeline yourself in the pictures by looking at the track and markers on them. Like the Sunoco sign, or the grandstands, or the pit entrance line. I didn't waiver at all from my line. There's no need to. The low line is the shortest way around the track, the high line is used for passing. I use a controller, so I can't stay exactly on the yellow line, that's why I showed in my pictures how far I came up off the banking.

Seth all I'm going to say is that it's always good to be aware of drivers around you.

As for cnd, it wasn't right for him to do that do you.

It's understandable though. He didn't know you were just merging on your racing line. He just thought you were blocking and decided to act against it. It's similar to what happen this your at the 24 hour between Mcnish and Allmendinger. Check 1:58, it was all just a misunderstanding in the end.

Touching isn't putting someone in the wall. People say 'rubbing is racing' right? Well I didn't get into him purposely, and when I did touch him, I moved back down toward the yellow line. So I didn't go up and bump him to slow him down. That's what he thought and why he got into me at the end. What happened after the banking wasn't on me. I expected him to drive around me on the outside. There was still a ways to go before the line so it wasn't over. You can see how far I had to go down just to try and avoid him. Before we even approached the pit line there was plenty of room between us for him to tuck in behind me and draft around or even hold the upper line since he was side by side and make it a photo finish!

Off to Monza now. Track should favor the Mazdas again. But Sunset was only a car length away from having the top two spots at Daytona.

Yeah, for some reason some cars are much faster in/out the pit box than others, depending on where it is you're actually stationed. Maybe its just the car itself, I dunno. It's wierd though....

Haha, I nearly ran out of fuel.

My Camaro pit stop at Nurb, I took no fuel and came put behind skilla, who was a good distance behind me when I entered.

I'm still annoyed about my dc. To think I changed host to help dodge rip us :(. I think that it's probably a case where my bros' laptops leeched too much internet. I dc'ed in the ITCC lobby as well :banghead:.

Watching storm was funny though. Especially when he tractor beamed above some cars at times. Though when I started on the same row as him, when I'm invisible to him...

After the first caution where I had pitted, making me last, I fell of the leaders horribly. I had to go wide to avoid a spinning Audi at turn 5. There was a mess at the bus stop, which should've been cautioned in my opinion, but neither driver involved called for it.

Even so that weaved me into 4th and maybe 5-10 secs behind the leading trio. Then storm dropped off and I was like "🤬 he can't see me." Fortunately, I got by cleanly on the banked corner and somehow we didn't crash at the chicane, but then proceeded to catch up on the lead pair steadily, before our green pit stops (my tyres were worn thanks to avoiding the incidents).

Then DP had another caution. I heard that was a theme for the night. Judging by the pictures, I'm not surprised. Seemed like a sprint attitude was adopted in this endurance race.

As far as how my race could have gone, anyone's guess. I don't know how my tyre life was without incident, cautions made a mini lottery, etc etc. But I had the pace to be in the big fight for certain :(

This is the 2nd incident with Anthony, I took a couple of extra shots to show his 'overtakes' on cnd

this is him on cnd in turn 3 of lap 59 i think
roadcoursedaytona10s.jpg

following anthony just fine here
roadcoursedaytona13.jpg

Magically the gap is next to nothing?
roadcoursedaytona14.jpg

wait, notice that brake light in the middle? being brake checked, why?
roadcoursedaytona15.jpg

that light doesn't come on unless you're braking. I know because I have the R92.

He was braking to let me back in front of him because he dive-bombed me. He PSN messaged me on that one. That was why he did that. He was doing the right thing. You just happened to be behind him.

Another incident. What happened the lap before when you slam into the back of ant and I going into the chicane?

There aren't enough time lapse photos here. The crash is too spaced out. Not enough angles. It appears that you were the one who moved up the track. I maintained a line just below the white line at the top of the track. If anything you came up into me. I then retaliated and turned into you.

Between image 1 and 2, do you guys notice the lighter band of track about a car-length up from the yellow line? In the first image, Seth has 2 tires and about 25% of his car on that band. I am just inside the white stripes on the outside line. On his second image, I am still just inside the white stripes. Seth has moved his car completely off of the lighter band of track and into my door. That took all of my momentum I had built up from my run off of the corner and the good run I got out of the chicane away. You can see my closing rate before initial contact was made. I would have won the race by a half car had he not made contact with me. Whether that was intentional or not, it was wrong. He should have backed off after he made contact. I understand that you use the ds3. It is hard to maintain a line with the ds3 on the high banks. That is why you should have given more room. Unless it was intentional. Seth and only Seth knows if it was on purpose or not. When you made contact with me, my wheel's force feedback corrected me into Seth the first time. My immediate thoughts were that mother 🤬 dirty driver. He costed me the win. That is why I moved down and crashed him.

Polar, you need to save replays, simple as that. Just a friendly tip. People shouldn't be making excuses and getting away with stupid moves, reading these last few pages proves that.

The race didn't finish on laps, it finished via time. I didn't know you could save a replay of a race that didn't finish. Storm sent me replays of the questionable points. I'm downloading them now.
