All trolling, labels, and jokes aside, we are going to be at Motegi full course tomorrow right?

If were going to Motegi, expect lap times around the 1:45 mark or slightly lower.

Well, asides from Shin, who's running a different race in that time slot, no one else has mentioned that they don't have the DLC. I've been waiting a VERY long time to run a proper race at Motegi.

I'm still trying to find a good setup for the Minolta. I think I've got it 9 out of 10 in terms of being happy with it. The tire wear is getting better. I just need it to be more consistent. That should changed when we go to the 'normal' tracks.

Motegi/Monza... both flat. :)

I have run millions of laps on the PD originals. The slightly banked turns are difficult. I learned everything I know about those tracks from back when I was 7 playing Gran Turismo on the Play Station. I haven't quite mastered all of the world circuits yet. Monza for example, I have maybe 100 laps on it. It takes about 500 for me to get the braking points and such. I still am grumpy about not being able to make it on Saturday :grumpy:

I'm fine at those tracks. Just not settled on this car completely, so i push it. I was catching up to you, but hit the dirt and spun. I was able to get 1:16s over a few laps to push that gap down. I would have pit but I figured I'd push another lap. It would have worked but for the spin taking my tire life away. These normal tracks are more suited to these types of cars. Monza I was in the 1:41's and lower.

Dont worry about the GT roster. Well, dont worry about me anyway. I should be able to make it to all the races. I have a big project at work. So races during the week are almost always out of the question. At least one Viper will make it to Monza. 👍

Polar, did you ever get those pics up to show corner cutting?

After lap 1, I backed off because I was already about 2 seconds ahead. I spun on lap 5 being too careful. I just decided to pit early. I hate it when you think I can go another lap, but you screw up or get halfway through it and realize you have no tires left :banghead: Shinshiki was catching me the last 2 laps because my tires had 7 laps on them, 2 more than basically everyone else. I ran a 1.40.3 I believe at Monza. I have done better, but I had all 4 tires on the green. It is so easy to cheat without ever intending to.

Monza is straight forward, 41s are simple. 40's come with a little push, maybe 39's if I ran no downforce or have draft for a period of time.

I would say so as well. Fuel burnoff will make the cars even faster except me. For whatever reason, I run the best times with 3/4ths of a fuel load:crazy:

I seem to get faster every stint. Testing there I reset fast lap every lap for 5 laps straight. Dropped high 41s to mid 40's.

1.39s are definitely plausible. I think 1.39.7 was the pole when we ran a preseason race there. I was in the low 1.41s

I never try to go for the fast lap. I try for tire wear being consistent. Especially here. Draft will help out anyway.

That's my strategy too. I try to balance the 2 out. Most of the time I get better tire wear the faster my car is. I can drive smoother and not as on the edge. That was the case at Trial Mountain and Grand Valley.
