The Rolex Sports Car Series, Season 3! Finished! Thanks Everyone!

Oh yeah .

Hopefully I can get a spot.
*epic facepalm*

I guess you've had a lot of work this week, man.

I haven't bothered testing the Mazda since last week. What with the update, and not being available at the spot race, and setting up my Furai for the 24Hr of Le Mans on A-Spec, I've had very little motivation for testing.

I know, it might take me until then to get the Lotus's setup right.

From the little time I spent with the Lotus, the handling went from great to impossible out of nowhere. It is really fast though.

P.S. That was before the update.

I took the lotus for a spin the day of the update and it still seems pretty decent (for me) and tyre ware seems to be better too.

All is good with the Ferrari. At least on my end it is. I know GHS and I have different tining methods. So he might have a different story.

The Sauber has gone through some extensive tuning in the last week or so. Would restoring the chassis rigidy help handling?

Yeah, this is the only gray area for me on parts. I generally dont need it. Or at least I think I dont need it. Maybe someone like Paul would know more.

Paul!!!! We need your help. If you get a chassis restoration, does that make the car faster?

When in doubt about anything gran turismo- Paul will explain it!

I may do it just to see if I can tell...

Do it on a spare Sauber! Thats another reason I dont mess with mods that cant be undone. Weight reduction is the only exception. I dont even like messing with the ECU cause it makes the redline higher.

1 problem with that... I only have 1 Sauber

Save your file before the mod. If you dont like it load the save file.

Should have said save it to USB. But I'm sure you already knew. Just wanna put the disclaimer out there though.

Yep, your thoughts?

I should be on in a little bit. Gonna wait for this storm to pass by first. Last time I played in a storm my TV went out. :(

I just hopped on. I will be practicing at Daytona in my lounge. Anyone can join if they want to.

I know it makes you turn like dogtrash, why do you think I was so bad at Spa? Unless chassis restore doesn't give you the same cornering as when it was new, you're best off staying as you are without it. On some car it works a treat, but on an LMP it just makes them understeery as hell.

Chassis restoration is a sort of amplifier for your tune. If your tune is good, then it'll make it even better. If it's bad, it'll make it even worse. It makes your car more stable, but cornering speed is slightly affected.

It as what Tez said makes the rear of your car more stable and not many really use it because they prefer to tune out the problems. Chassis restoration can be useful in cars like the Ruf RGT but even that understeers alot with it. Personal taste I guess, I prefer a slightly loose car anyways so it doesn't help me in the slightest :P.

I won't do it then  Thanks for the scoop. 👍

LOOSE IS FAST!

LOL! Had to :sly:

I do prefer a car with a tad bit of oversteer, but, I'm getting KILLER wheel spin with this Sauber. I also hate the hood view with a burning passion on the car...

I applied it to most of my cars before I even knew what it did.

Pretty much 75% of my tuned cars have chassis restoration, so I'm slightly used to it more. I like stable cars, lap times won't do me good if my tires get shred. (Though thanks to this new update it will shred less.)

Is that a Days of Thunder moment? :dopey:
