The Rolex Sports Car Series, Season 3! Finished! Thanks Everyone!

I was told the GT one. But it does say in the OP that its the F track....

Soooo.... 1:40's at Fuji F? I'd be like 5 seconds behind in that case.....

Last year's pole time there was a 40.0... this season with less power, more weight, and less grippy tires, we're running within a second of last season's? What kind of sorcery is this?! Or is my memory really off...

1:40's must be at Fuji GT, grazbo did 1:51's at Daytona and 1:40-1:41 at Fuji....

Given I did 1:49's at Daytona in testing and low 1:40, possible 1:39's at Fuji GT, he must be talking GT, not F....

LHL and I were testing at Fuji without the chicane. We are running the version with the chicane on Saturday.

How many more endurance races do you have left? I just have the 24 hour races left. No motivation at all to get them finished.
I have the big 2 to go aswell. Given the Mazda Furai is clocking 3:35's with TC on and RSF/RMR setup, I might have a chance to win it. The TC is only down to rain, given that I don't really wanna be fighting the car more than I need to. It'll be hard enough as it is...

@cnd: Good news there! So 1:44's at Fuji F perhaps?

Sorry my bad, 1:50.xxx's-1:51.xxx's at Daytona.

Yeah just to clarify I was running 1:41's in the audi on the version without the chicane. Although I'm sure i could get close to 1:41's with the chicane if i spend some more time adjusting the setup.

I don't think you could do 41s in Fuji with the chicane. Last season's pole time was a 40.3 with soft tires, less weight, and more power in the Audi. We're all realistically looking at 43s-44s.

I may have been setting my goals a tad too high ;) I've only tested without the chicane so i'm only guessing. If anyone fancies testing let me know and i'll join.

Can you test at about 5pm EDT or around those times? That's when I arrive home from school.

It's 5am, no sleep, up all night doing homework, and school starts in three hours. 🤬 my life. I'll be off.

Yeah thats cool. I'll only be on for an hour or so because It'll be 9pm here and I have an early start for college tomorrow.

Per my observations at Daytona.

I think the Audi is the one to beat. It was putting out faster lap times than I was at Daytona. Tire wear was even for the Audi also. Only downfall is straight line speed.

Mazda and Lotus are super fast down the straights. It was hard to shake them off and get any kind of distance between them and me. I was only able to pull away once mistakes were made and they were in battles with other cars.

Didnt get a chance to really race against the Camaro. I managed to lap it before it dropped out of the race. I still think it can be fast though.

The order even with the changes is roughly, Lotus, Ferrari, Audi, Mazda, Camaro. (Imo anyway)

1:40.xxx's-1.42.xxx's as the tires wear on Fuji F. 1:50.xxx's-1:52.xxx's as the tires wear on Daytona Road Course. Both tracks using RM tires.

I know that Camaro has the HP, so I am working on the trans to get more top end. Surprisingly, it handles like a dream, due to my Crew Chief doing the R&D on the setup!

In testing at Suzuka I found the order was slightly different:

Lotus (Prior to specs change)
Camaro
Ferrari
Audi
Mazda

So at Fuji F, you're getting 1:40's? I'm doubting this somehow, given we've definitely slowed the cars from S2 and with Softs the old specs ran 1:40's...

If I'm not mistaken; Fuji F is the Formula 1 / Formula Nippon option, and Fuji GT is the Super GT option. The Super GT would more than likely remove that chicane as contact is more likely to happen than in the formula races. Hence:

Fuji F - Chicane
Fuji GT - No Chicane

Well either way, at Fuji F I'm at a reasonable 1:43.5 right now as my personal best in the Mazda. I don't like this track, mind you.
