Should we have Team Owners in Season 3?

If DP stays on softs, definitely no TC next year for DP. If they go to a different tire then maybe keep TC.

You just described the GT class in the "other" series.

More like they copied my idea from about a year ago? Even if you don't go back that far, before we started racing season 2 I suggested those cars. So if anything the other series copied an idea I had. They also mix a road car Ferrari with race cars and an RM Camaro. My idea is to use the LM camaro (standard), run medium tires, base the cars around 1300kg and 420hp, replace the Ferrari with the Lamborghini and allow the Viper GTS-R. Nowhere do you see that in the 'other series'.

Some of us DS3 users would like to keep TC on, we don't have the luxury of a wheel and pedals.

Mediums does sound like a cool choice!

But both classes would be limited to mediums, if not, some idiot would use softs in Gt... We all know it'd happen... And then WWIII would break out.... Season 3 will hopefully eliminate the fighting....

And Seth, let's not get into it with Cnd...

I remember you saying that last year. I was talking about the "use race cars for GT". I am sorry if that made you mad. I was just making connections. I guess perfectly isn't the best word.

Q: Are you going to race next year?

Get into what? This is an ideas thread isn't it? My idea is to keep TC for people who don't have a wheel.

Depends on who is here and where and what interest there is.

Gt shouldn't be too hard to drive without a wheel and TC... But I understand for DP

I'm not shin, am I?

Why yes Seth you are not Shin.

Sooo

No custom tracks.

No more viper.

GT will be slower.

Looking at possibly limiting tires to mediums.

Solid afternoon!

Still don't see why we can't try them in preseason.

Out of curiosity, why do you want to run the course maker tracks? They might be worth a shot in the preseason, but what is so special about them? What do they add to the series? Let me know.

Carnage ? Effels generally are just too high speed with not enough braking zones to pass or overly complicated and narrow either way it's a disaster. Having said that, R1600Turbo and a few others have made decent tracks but they are hardcore :).

Eh, I'd rather stick with softs. It's just a personal preference. Also, I'd rather the DP cars remain as some type of prototype from the game.

Excellent response!

I agree. Don't fix it if it isn't broke.

I just think it would be completly different. Everyone would be equal no one would really know the track until they got on it for the race.

IRL when do drivers just show up and race? They have practice sessions and prepare for the race. If we do that, we might as well prohibit tuning as well.

Well I would put the track on share so polar has it. That way he can either share it with everyone or he can have something similar to tire tests there.

You raise the power and you lose the tire life. It's already bad enough when people have to pit every 7 or 8 laps. I think drop the weight to 1000kg as a base and keep power as it is, or 490hp.

DP regs are 1030kg IRL for engines under 4 liters. I suggested 1000kg as a base because the power is a bit lower, if we did increase power we'd increase tire wear as well, something I'm not fond of, I don't think anyone else is either. That's why I'm saying run a little bit lesser weight than real life, and a little less power, to almost equal it out but still be able to use tires for a good period of time.

But to 502bhp (Room restriction) for sake of easy regulation ;). (We did discuss this in S2 thread, not sure it your planning it for next season though)
