About the Nissan R390 road car. Whoever thought of using it had a good idea going on, however, finding a similar car to it is basically not gonna happen.
I have a Cerbera Speed 12, and it's not as amazing as I first thought it'd be. Very front heavy.
McLaren F1 and the Cadillac CIEN don't run enough downforce.
The VW Nardo doesn't have enough downforce either, and can't run under 1290 kg.
The Saleen S7 has that look of a DP, but no downforce.
The Pagani Zonda R can be similar in pretty much every way to the Nissan R390, has similar aero, can be tuned to similar specs, but it's essentially a race car.

That's my main gripe. We have plenty of Group C's to choose from. Two Nissans, a Mazda, a Toyota, a Jaguar, a Mercedes and the Peugeot (though it's too light IMO). Yet were limited to 3 cars. There's more than 3 different cars in DP IRL. I think letting DP be open would be a good idea with more variety. We could do preseason races and the fastest guys using the car they want maybe should pick last in DP (theres only 6 anyway). That way the slower guys can be in the faster cars and competition will be closer.

I say stick with Group C, but change the Nissan R92 for the Peugeot 905. Three is all we need. Plus the R92, R89, Jag, and 787 have the low wing. Only the Toyota, Sauber, and 905 have the raised wing like the DP IRL. Car specs would be a nightmare if we speced all of the Group C. I am in favor of 502/1000 because that is what the DP is IRL unless they have a certain engine size. I can't remember off the top of my head what it is.

I don't own one, I was just looking at it from the body style view. If it can't make 1000 kg then it is a no-go. I think we may then need just the Sauber and the Toyota. IRL basically only 2 body styles are used. I know every now and then a generation 2 DP is used, but for the majority of the time, it is the Corvette DP and the generation 3 Riley.

I had trouble tuning the peugeot 905. Every car I could take Eau Rogue flat out except that car. It wouldn't turn in enough. Freaking weird, I don't know if they fixed that or what, but even GT cars on racing Hard tires could take it flat out in GT5. The Jag is a little slower than these cars also, so it could run 950kg and equal the 905. The 905 would just need lesser power. I don't like that we limit it to 3 cars, that's my opinion. We don't NEED just 3 cars, having 6 would be great as everyone could run their own car with it's own unique characteristics.

We're setting up guide lines for cars, and while I understand and respect what you're saying, I've said I don't agree.
And you pulled out of season 2? Are you going to race in season 3? I know it depends on who's racing in your class and all, but I'm just confused as to what you're doing...

Thats why I think we should have an option to be teamowners or race. Even if he can't make the races he could still make a team in either GT or DP and have his team be competative.
