I am aware like the fact that the new rolex series that was created is part of well known PURE

The way you worded that.... Was.... Terrible. Like, are you advertising them?

You don't say :dunce:

This is what I sent to PURE head:

Look either you shut down PUREs version of Rolex or we will take matters into are own hands. Take it down Wardez if this came across as threatening I am sorry the drivers of my Rolex series will not stand for it neither will I.

I took a huge stand for this series. I think I deserve a little respect around here now.

Season 3 could incorporate some races that take 8 drivers (if possible) from both series to compete against each other. Would be very interesting but settling on the cars to use would be another matter.

Seth, don't take this the wrong way, but I'm really confused as to what you're doing...

We're setting up guide lines for cars, and while I understand and respect what you're saying, I've said I don't agree.

And you pulled out of season 2? Are you going to race in season 3? I know it depends on who's racing in your class and all, but I'm just confused as to what you're doing...

What don't you get? You're not changing anything from season 2 at all in regards to the cars we use in DP? What's the point in the discussion and ideas then? I only speculated that if you allow other Group C cars they can meet the regs you're talking about. What is it you don't agree with? You haven't made anything clear, guy.

If you aren't in the series, don't run the show. To put it bluntly. You bash Ant and Mel on the other thread. Why are you so confrontational? Take a chill pill. You are out of this series. Unless you are running Season 3, why does what we do concern you?

I know this kind of late, but even though the 905 is light, in my opinion, it under steers the most out of all the prototypes.

Guy? I'm "Guy".... Gee, thanks....

I don't think you understand what we're discussing. Our options we planned out are listed in the OP.

90's lm cars (Mclaren, Nissan, Mercades)
What we have, with maybe changing the Nissan out.
Or street versions of cars (R390, and others if we could decide)

Those were the options we were supposed to be discussing.

Back off, cnd. No one is talking to you. Thread title is The Rolex Sports Car Series- Season 3 IDEAS! How am I trying to run things by giving my ideas? Just like the thread title says? lol, you guys come off as a joke sometimes. Obviously if I'm posting here, I'm interested. If you don't get that, you're not paying much attention now are you? I don't wanna race against Anthony as all he does is lag and take people out and drive off. Mel doesn't know how to act right IMO and his little 'temper' makes him talk trash and drive like it. If they're in DP I'm not going to participate. But if they aren't I still want to race. So like I said, back off and mind your business. :) You're talking about Group C cars, what I'm discussing is Group C cars! Come on, now.

I apologize to any other possible members who are viewing this thread. We are experiencing stress because we now have to compete with another series very similar to ours.

Everyone listen an shut up quit posting on all of are Grand-Am series threads for 2 seconds to listen. Has anyone ever wondered why we only get the same drivers back every season plus one or two? I think its because we can't go 2 posts without an argument. It isn't every once and a while its all the time we are arguing it needs to stop. We also need to make a good penalty system to use for everything. If we don't stop the arguing and fighting on and off the track I think the other series is gonna beat us by a country mile.

Thank you now can I get some respect around here.

But don't go around being all hostile and stuff to the other guys.... You're making us look like the bad guys.

Ya sorry also can I get put into the rolex chat on skype? Also Polar PM I have some more good ideas.

I don't like when people act like I'm trying to run things. The first post was talking about group c cars like we have currently. I said we could let the others in that we were thinking about before season 2 started. I already had them all equal to eachother with 1000kg 490hp being the basis of them. I guess everyone ignored what I said and thought I was trying to change it. Don't know how that idea got out.

I like your idea of the Merc, Mclaren F1 and Nissan GT1 race cars. I know the Mclaren and Nissan have 50,70 DF. Not sure about the Merc though and they both can easily make 1000-1050kgs. Could be a good move testing would need to be done though.

Also James that message to Wardez will get you know where he will not listen to that sort of language. He can't stand stuff like that. Sorry to say but there is many touring car series all a little different but no one complains. I see this situation as no different since there is massive differences between the two, sorry :indiff:.

Oh course testing would be needed.

They'd follow the same 'around 500HP and about 1000KG' scheme.

Actually 502HP :D

Edited it for James not impressed by his rampage on PURE, this is what I'm talking about (In our PMs) when I say some have agro towards us and say we are "Elitists" etc :(.

Actually, not really. Since we run 90's GT1 cars in Seth's league, we could just use his specifications as a base, and then test to see how we can maybe make them more even. I would much rather have prototypes though.

Edit: I know the McLaren get can be scaled down to 500HP, but I don't know about the Nissan and the Mercedes. Especially the Mercedes because it naturally has around 800HP.

We wouldn't copy Seth.

And @Paul

I don't consider you guys elitist, and I think that James said a good thing on this thread... Which was too out of character and had to go mess it up where it counts on the other thread.

For all looking from the PURE series, i'm very sorry for James' comment(s) towards you guys.

I know you are caught between a rock and a hard place here. I respect you for sticking up for your organization. After all, you are a steward. 👍

As far as DP, I think we shouldn't change anything. Don't fix what is not broke. I do think we should try and test other options though.

It was more for the PM he sent to Wardez he posted on the last page and partly the close your series down, which he has no right to say unless it was exactly the same as this.

As I have said using Touring cars as an example with WTCC/BTCC/ITCC and TOCA and each is a little different but all seem to not step on each others toes. I don't quite understand how it's different here maybe due to you were the only one around same could be said for Furis TOCA once apon a time I guess. Not that I like the current situation..

That was a pm?!

O.O

Oh brother...

C'mon James!

Haha, the ITCC is entirely different; the cars are not restricted by anything but their overall performance. We have 60 cars running within half a second.

TOCA has its Legend grouping.

WTCC/BTCC uses much heavier cars than ITCC, and much different rules.

Bankfin uses ITCC rules and TOCA cars. There's a big difference. I don't quite see the difference between the two Rolex series. I'm sorry, I'm just being honest.

I think it should be first come, first serve basis IMO. If that means one of us has to drop a series in question we will do so. Same would apply here.
