The 'September speculation' discussion thread? (No car suggestions)

Mileage Exchange is dead yet has so much potential for cosmetic updates. Interior, exterior, race parts, decals, race banners, window sponsors, tinted windows. All manner of things.

Such an under utilised feature.
Okay, true. It isnt as utilised, but wouldn't you use a horn to get a dirty driver to move out the way, as they deliberately block you or run you off the road.

Using a horn could even follow the games penalty algorithms, causing the dirty driver to recieve a minimal penalty of 0.250 secs. The longer they block, the more the penalty grows. But thats just a suggestion.

To me, I can see the fun side to using them in GT Sport. In GT5, there was around 200 car horns (maybe more) and some did sound hilarious. All PD need to do is remake those sounds and apply them into the game.

If you bought each one for say... 50 points, it would be interesting to find out what horn you just purchased at the Mile-exchange too.

I'd guess, without teasers like St Croix, it's going to be a "legacy" Circuit.

Lead with Grand Valley? I don't know. Mid-field? Trial Mountain? Deep Forrest? Autumn Ring? High Speed Ring?

I have my doubts if the St Croix teasers happened because it was a big fantasy circuit coming for GT Sport or PD was just killing time because the update was arriving later than usual

Mileage Exchange doesn't work well with a game like GT Sport,GT7 on the other hand could use Mileage Exchange(c'mon Kaz please make GT7 next)

It's quite obvious PD doesn't care about anyone using the Fanatec line. I guess they figure "it works" and that's good enough for them.

Keith.

Didn’t they just update Fanatech wheels less than two weeks ago with 1.26? I thought that was the headline of that update.

Unless by “don’t care” you mean you don’t like the changes they made as opposed to they literally don’t do anything about it, because they obviously did so something.

Didn’t do anything about it =/= I don’t like it.

Stop and go penalty

Real time damage on sport mode

Tyre punctures

Lemans night time

New camera angles

More customisation for the cockpit view

Change oil

Race modifications from GT2

We need more features from the updates just getting cars or tracks makes the game repetitive like real racing 3 if we are going to get people to continue playing GT sport.

For september :

- A massive correction of the penalty sistem (they must divide TT from RACE and standard track from "wall-tracks" (ovals and Tokyo) )

- A remastered original track (DF, TM, GV, AH, AR, MF, SSR5...)

- Time transition and dinamic weather ..

IR

- a favorite car section within our virtual garage

- the option to exchange duplicated cars for credits or mileages points

- timetrial leaderboards

- day/night cicle changes. Or at least night time races for more tracks

- turn off the stupid warning about running out of fuel

- let us "bring" more decals at once on our car when at livery editor so we can work faster

- edit game BGM

- offline enduros with 30 cars (just like that misson challenge with Porsche Gr3)

- enduros for the forgotten Gr4

All they did in the last update was allow people to once again use the automatic feature for the sensitivity. Hardly anything truly progressive. Now if they would give us the same type of immersion you feel as in the T GT, then maybe we would be impressed. FF is still hit or miss, no rumble feature for the pedals which have that option and not even the ability to use the lights on the base and wheel. Now that would be an update. That's what I mean by "don't care". Can we still drive...yes. Can we still enjoy the game...yes. Can we use it to it's full potential...NO!

Keith.

Yeah fixed times for circuits is possible,i wonder what's holding back PD from adding night time for every circuit
A rough guess would be the lighting. Seems counterintuitive but it probably takes much more effort to both develop and render ~50 different light sources on an average track than one big omniscient light source during the day.

GT Sport light system is probably the weirdest light system in a videogame,it's like a car that's brilliant to drive but with a few weird problems

Perhaps some tracks have closing times and thus wouldn't be able to race at night. I do miss night time Willow Springs however.

EDIT: I also liked the suggestion of adding more Gr.4 cars to the roster. If you've noticed how the Sport Mode meta has been over the years, there is a greater preference to stable cars found in MR and FF drivetrains, and some cases FR's are more valued for their tire efficiency. An equal assortment of vehicles to select per manufacturer would allow more opportunities for struggling manufacturers to compete with the Manufacturer Series.

Mileage Exchange "doesn't work" purely because nothing new is added to it. It follows the service model of games very well, just needs more support. How a regular GT game would use it better is lost on me.

In a regular game it could be used for upgrades to the vehicle. But I don't see anything wrong with one source of credits instead of multiple different currencies.

A regular GT game allows you to buy many aftermarket parts and performance parts, that could make Mileage Exchange better,in GTS it might be limited by the nature of the game.

I know this is going to sound weird, but I don't think the Mileage Exchange is the new GT Auto or any of the manufacturer tuning shops. It doesn't make sense to put tuning parts in a weekly refreshing store. Highly doubt we'd see it return in GT7 as well, there's no point. It overlaps with the other outlets too much.

For the Love of God, PLEASE give us a gosh darn battery meter for hybrid/electric cars already.

Something which both GT5 and 6 had is still completely absent in GT Sport, a game with a higher percentage of electric/hybrid cars than the former two, even after an entire YEAR.

This, why when you want to start arcade mode there is always this the same 8 cars which you can't replace but you have to go to the garage ? This 8 places would be great to choose from your favourite cars.
In addition the animation of the measures is simply brilliant, it is a waste to have them only for 8 cars ...
Mileage should return for GT7 but as a special currency, only single cars, the rest I would like it to be with money
