Thanks Ade for the facts regarding the Elise, really appreciate it! đź‘Ť :)

I have been away from GT5 for the last week - spending time on our hideout on the countryside - but this week I will try to establish a proper set up for the car so I at least can make it through the bends...

I will also make some testing to see if I'm going to set the ABS on or off. I think it affects the set up and vice versa.

Just over 2 weeks to go to the delayed start of season 2. Because of the delay, it has given me a bit more time to source some prizes. As its the Goodwood festival of speed this weekend, I have asked a mate from work who is going to pick me up a few bits and pieces. So there will be the standard Sunday Cup S2 keyrings for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, plus some Goodwood Goodies for overall winner, most fastest laps, and most pole positions.

Nice one Ade đź‘Ť

I hope he brings the Chevron GT3 back with him  fastast car up the hill in the shootout with a 46.46

Is this full? Couldn't tell by the OP. If not I wouldn't mind pootling round at the back :-) Every 2 weeks works well for me too.

It is now.đź‘Ť You may join as car 16. In season 1 it was limited to 12, and throughout the entire season I think that there were only a handful of DCs. I also hosted Mini Madness with 15 and didnt have any problems. I will increase the grid to 16, and we will have to see how we go. If it causes any connection problems we may have to have a rethink.

All I need you to do now is let me know your car/wheel colours and racing number. Also if you could take a picture of your car and driver in photomode, and post it in here for any podium pictures.

Welcome to the Sunday Cup. Several of us also participate in Core GT series on Fridays, and there are some places available.

My race participation will be lacking this month. I've got two weeks filled with Physics finals (the last exams I'll write in University, then its off to the Masters thesis). At the end of the Month I'll spend a weekend in Belgium.

OK Third, good luck with the exams, and have a great time in Belgium. There will be a place for you when you return.đź‘Ť

BTW did we ever find out the spring rates for the race exige..

Right, I have been doing a bit of research into the spring rates. Standard car spring rates come out at, Front 325 and Rear 425 lb/in.

These are settings for a road going Elise. Recommendations on a track car with full aero front and rear are much stiffer, Front 550 and rear 700 lb/in, with ride height set lower at the front (-20mm) than the rear (-10mm) to give good rake.

I am not sure whether its just a case of applying these settings straight to the spring rates and ride height in GT5 , ie 5.5 front and 7.0 rear for springs, and -20 front, and -10 rear for height. Will have to give it a try to find out.

So to recap the other settings, which are based on the real life damper, anti roll bar, toe and camber set up, this is the best real life set up I can manage.

height
-20.......-10
spring
5.5.......7.0
ext
4........7
comp
4........7
ARB
3........3
camber
0.2........1.8
toe
-0.26......+0.02

Good stuff there Ade. Wil try it on my Orange #28 as a setting and go from there. But first I need a base setting for the Lambo, as the GT 3.5 is this weekend! You don't assemble Lambo's as well do you? ;)

Great fun practice session. Thanks Hasslemoff.đź‘Ť Sorry I couldnt stay longer, but stupid early starts during the week mean early bed times. Need to work on my setup, as I was way off the 1.32.xxx that was posted when I left.

No problem had fun, I'm going to have to get a mic sorted one day I've been saying it for ages though.
I ran a 31.2 after you left and Cobani was getting into the 31's to. I doubt I'd make that time in a race as I was really pushing to get that time, I think 32's is about average for me on mediums and 33 - 34's on hard (hopefully).

The changes in bold is all I changed in your tune (thanks for that) it made it turn in a lot better for me and less oversteer.

Thanks Ade and Hasslemoff for the setups. Those will come in handy!đź‘Ť

I will miss the great premiere of SC2 because of my summer vacation...:( ...and will be back for the Tokyo 246.

I can practice slow in, fast out with my mid-engine riding mower. :)

Have a nice summer, racing fellows!

Great pics mate, it was a shame it was a work night, as I would have stayed for a bit longer. Just over a week to go until we race for real, and I will be hosting a last minute short race practice next Saturday. GT3.5 Cup Tomorrow will be good, and I think there is a practice session for that tonight.đź‘Ť

Great stuff Hasslemoff, look at the lines if that little beast ... what a lovely car the Elise 111R 04 RM is!

Well Sunday Cuppers, less than a week until S2 is here. It seems like ages since the end of the last season. Can reigning champion Cobani hold onto his title? How will tyre strategy's play a part? Who will win prizes for the most fastest laps and pole positions.

Rosenlundaren and Third_Reign will be absent from the first races, so there are reserve positions available.

I will hold a short race practice session this coming Saturday at 8.00pm for anyone who wants to get a feel for the competition before the race on Sunday.

Also, if anyone is interested, The Sunday Cup is now on Facebook. Please take a look and like the page if you use facebook.

I am sure you will be at the front of the pack throughout the season if S1 is anything to go by. Mind you there are going to be a few more fast drivers this season.

Get one, the page looks good. I made it so that I could share The Sunday Cup with others who have shown an interest, but dont go on GT5. I will update it with pictures and results as the season goes on, and may start a betting ring at work:sly:

How do I sing up

Hi. As the grid is potentially full, I can only offer you a reserve position at the moment. There are reserve positions available for the first 2 races, so if you would like to join us that would be cool. As Jhodas has asked for the final place, but has not yet replied, I may be able to offer you a grid place for the whole season. Please let me know your car/wheel paint colours and racing number. All the rules and regs are on the front page. Welcome to the Sunday Cup.đź‘Ť
