I'm wondering... after I did an engine and chassis rebuild on my car the PP went up to like 458 or some such number... so would it be better to have 450 with a 23kg weight, or 448 with no weight but less power?

Well, there really is not a better option. On paper, the no weight/less power would be the better choice with the lower kg/hp ratio. On the other hand, weight can play a vital role in the way a car handles. You may be able, to practically glide with no weight, but with no tc, and depending on your setup, you could produce wheel spin and be slower. It's not a choice of which is better, it's a choice of which setup you're faster with.

So I'm doing some thinking on this. Unfortunately the lap timer for your first lap starts right when the race starts, so lap 1 is not good for getting a good stage time. We might have to make each race 3 laps, have the first lap as a warm-up, second lap as your timed, and third as a cool down lap while I jot down each person's lap 2 time.

You remember when we did the rally nights with GT-motion and had to go one at a time? You could have the first racer just take off immediately, then have every subsequent driver pull into the #1 starting spot and start at a set time ( 15 seconds in, 30 seconds in etc. That way the race wouldn't have to be lengthened by a whole 10 minutes (at least). As long as someone was monitoring the starts it would be fair. :)

I'm going to enter this but I just wanna ask, what exactly do you mean by 'team number'?

Won't work. That's how I was going to do it, but the timer starts right away, not when you pass the start line like I thought.

Just pick a number. :)

Well...yeah, but if you have the first guy wait till 5 seconds in, then you can just subtract 5 seconds from his time. Then, the second guy parks in the #1 spot and he starts at 20 seconds in (or something else) and you subtract 20 seconds from his time...I may be totally missing a flaw in my plan, but I thought I'd try to explain it better :)

No I get it, but that's a lot harder than just having everyone run 3 laps. Trying to keep it simple.

PM sent.

Must have missed the elephant in the corner. Well, I was actually surprised no one is running a lotus yet.
I was more surprised no one was running a Mitsubishi yet. So that's why I - actually, don't worry. :D

I'd like to enter this but I haven't decided on a car yet. Main problem for me would be the time zone differences.

Changed cars. Think I'll stick with this car this time.

In the interest of competition, I plan to change my car also as I feel (if the NSX is anything like GT5P) that I have more of an advantage then I want and in the spirit of the event I'll be swapping to something else, but still representing RWD in class 3. Likely going to be an FD3S RX7 but will confirm via p/m.

I'm with you on the RWD, but trust me. It's not something any one was expecting. lol.

Turbo - I sent you a PM.

I'd very much like to give this a shot! (I've been looking for an excuse to use my Bluebird Rally car)

Pm'd you my info.

I'm really looking forward to the Class 2 race. Looks to be a FWD vs RWD race. Not sure how it will turn out.

Handofgod is using a very powerful car for that class. I think y'all got some work ahead of you if his driving is anything on par with R1600turbo. 👍

EDIT:::

Is anyone going to run a practice room tonight? I'll be on at 9ish EST if people are going to.

I'll join when I get home if its still up.

And a brilliant car at that :D

Surprised nobody is running a Miata. ;)

Also, anyone that practices and wants to compare times, remember you have to start at the line from a complete stop to get the correct time. 👍

I thought it had been revised so that we take the second lap from a three lap attempt?

Sorry, I'm still not quite sure how this is supposed to work. :)
