just looked at the list and it's already over 16. How's this going to work out? I didn't even get to pick a car yet and races will probably be full. I'd end up being a reserve...

Several rooms will be run with up to 10 cars (depending on class) running at the same time. Just like the first post says, you're not racing fender to fender. ;)

I know the whole "fender to fender" thing, but I thought the servers would be full, 16 people and all. Why limit at around 10? And how are you going to manage multiple servers? Shall I be looking at the OP instead of asknig these questions?

Right I'm giving up on my cutlery powered hybrid it just doesn't work for me, so I'm going to get something new and move up to level 2.

Is anyone around at the moment for some practice?

Look at it this way:

  • Room will be opened so people can come in.
  • Once we get a good amount of people that are in the same class, we'll start a session for them.
  • Once they are finished, they can stay and watch, or if the room is full they will have to leave
  • Repeat for other classes...
  • Room stays open until everyone that wants to race that day is finished

Sounds complicated but I think I'll understand once I read it a couple more times.

Now about the prizes, the overall prizes to be specific. Like I'd get it in the first place, I'm not fast enough. By overall you mean by all classes combined together? I'm a little confused about it. So it really means fastest person in Level 4?

Assuming a Class 4 driver wins the whole thing, yes.

Interesting. I will for sure get PM my info to you and add you tonight! If I don't, then I will punish myself. I keep forgeting... I've almost officially chosen a car now! I might be either Class 4 or Classic.

Turbo, I know you've already gone over this, but I want to run it by you again. Is it okay to run RM cars? Specifically the RM Evo or WRX? I've been toying with the idea of running one of these two in Level 4...

If RM cars are allowed then I would like to uprgrade my 05' Impreza to RM spec 👍

I finally got the chance to try out the course last night.

Very fun!

I managed a 4:48+ (offline) in the '69 Bluebird Rally Car, but that was only after 5 or 6 times around. I still have to decide if I want to max it out to the 500pp limit or keep it stock.

Average speed = 74.1mph :)

If you run the RM Impreza, I could run the RM Evo for a factory head-to-head, or we could be Team Subaru (and it will be down to the driver/car setup). What do you think?

I'll get everyone's registration stuff updated later tonight. Been a hectic day and came very close to losing my UK trip.

I like the idea of running two car teams 👍 I think adding a Team championship would add another dimension to an already diverse and original series. R1600 What are your thoughts on this?. Is anyone else interested in forming Teams?

Quick note to all racers:

I will have internet access during most of my trip, however I am not 100% certain how frequently I will be on to check messages. Please PM me if there are any questions or you have an issue.

Also, everyone is welcome to practice while I am gone. Just make sure you set up the practice room as fixed host so that strangers do not take over the room when you are finished.

We'll start racing when I get back home. 👍

I'll run a Subie then. Any thoughts on livery. The RM Impreza looks really good in red.

Personally I like the standard Subaru world rally blue mica but red would be a nice change. Any particular shade of red?

One shade thats always worked out for me is Rosso Alfa. Rosso Siviglia (comes from Lambos) is another great lookong red.

I'd like to shy away from having team cars, especially if they are exactly the same. Would like to keep some variety out there, as we've already got a nice field of "variety" right now.

Stop talking, go dominate!
