The Things That Annoy You

Annoy me the unfinished FFB of game. Bought gt dd pro just because of this game and still ffb is very hectic. Sometimes works, sometimes not. Ffb is changing from bend to bend, from track to track. Honestly i dont know why?
Secondly ~ finally they should put into the game realistic damage modell, dirty wind screen etc. Forza has those features…

When you select a track, category, BOP, or any other criteria in the lobby, why can't the game remember this settings after a race? Or at least put the last tracks on top of the list? It's literally a few bytes of information and a programmer can code this in one hour. This annoys me a lot.

GTSport had this down pact. You could save your settings as a template and you could change settings while in the lobby - mindblowing I know!

The yellow flag penalty has to go

The flag warning is great, but using it to brainlessly dish out penalties was a terrible idea that anyone would've identified as flawed well before PD developed it.

I just don't see the point when it tells you before and after and even during the race, and in replays like all other GT games. There should be the option of turning it off.
That's probably why I like it. I pay no attention to the grid before and after and only really pay attention to my car in replays. I've found some good cars by going 'ooh, what's that?' then crashing into the next corner cause I'm paying more attention to the little pop up lol.

  • Music Rally
  • the physics, especially understeer after update 1.13
  • lack of Gran Turismo staple cars (e.g.: Escudo Pikes Peak, Toyota TS020, Nismo R-tune)
  • not being able to sell cars as advertised!
  • broken PP system
  • little to no innovation considering core features (livery editor, scapes and sport mode features are 99% identical to GTS)
  • broken multiplayer lobbies (no saveable/editable settings, broken spectator mode, no chat templates)
  • online lag
  • lack of online content (daily challenges in GT6 were great, was hoping for a return)
  • menu bugs (GT Auto etc.)
  • not being able to remove wide bodies
  • not being able to buy special parts and engines
  • engine swaps exclusive to one car only
  • roulette in general (redundant time consuming animation with FOMO vibe)
  • the missing last half of career mode (café, races, events, missions)
  • outdated car selection
  • VGT cars
  • GT7 as a whole feeling like a lazy copy&paste cash grab
  • false pre-release advertising
  • lack of communication (PD, please get a PR department!)

This game feels old and stale from the get go, like none of the core features have really been thought through. The lack of innovative features contributing to FUN gameplay is what peeves me the most. Almost like no one at PD cared about they're own reputation, what was great about past titles and what would make a great game today. For an "online only live service", this game already feels dead after only 2 months past release.

Agreed. I want the merest hint of assistance, not for it to completely cut the throttle out of a corner. In my opinion, TC1 should still get the car sliding - I’d like a little slip.

I can’t imagine anyone using anything other than TC1. It must be dog slow.
Can it be that you drive with a pad? If so, that explains your problem. I actually drive with the steering wheel and TCS-1 works very well there and really not too much, it is quite possible to get most FR vehicles and even a few MR vehicles into a power oversteer and lose them. I had tested a pad in Fuji with the Gr2 vehicles about 2 weeks ago and I noticed the TCS-1 problem extremely strongly. On the steering wheel, TCS-1 was hardly slower than without TCS, but on the pad, TCS-1 cost me a good 1-1.5 seconds per lap, the intervention was extreme. Without TCS for the car, as I was used to with the steering wheel with TCS-1, you can clearly feel that "damping/assistants" are still active in the background, so that driving with the pad can be on the same level as the steering wheels.

Yup, that’s right Maxi.

Any other sim I run on PC, I only use factory-enabled assists. For GT on the pad, it’s just too much of a chore when I want to sit and have fun.

For something else completely different: People uploading a rally or rally replica livery of the Evo 4-6, WRX STi/22B, or the ST205 GT-Four with widebody equipped (you can't use a widebody livery on non-widebody one and vice versa due to, I assume, UV mapping). The original Group A rally cars didn't have widebodies, don't do that.

Also, non-centerlock rims on Gr.3+ cars are also still a problem for me, although it can be sidestepped now that rims are independent of the livery. (Which also means not enough centerlock wheels in general.)

The game is pretty great... but there are a few things that frustrate me.
  • The rally physics seem off to me.
  • I personally find the challenges where pitting is involved to be problematic in terms of strategy and timing.
  • There should be a qualifying lap section so not everything is a rolling start where you are in 16th or 20th position if you really want to be a "race simulation".
  • I find the tuning process absurd. On the one hand, I appreciate the complexity. On the other hand, it's incredibly non intuitive in terms of figuring out how they incremental changes are going to affect your car. There almost needs to be a feature where you can "hire" a mechanic and tell them that you want less "understeer" and you move simplified sliders that you can then go in and fine tune or something like that. Drivers are not necessarily mechanics and shouldn't be forced to be ones in order to progress in the game.
  • The inability to sell a car or even an upgraded part you don't want any more is frustrating.

  • Excessive camera wobble
  • Excessive car roll
  • Painting the car eliminates any other colored elements or decals (this is stupid!)
  • Inability to sell cars (I don't want your priuses and other fwd crap! well, except for DC2 Integra and EK Civic)
  • Inability to select OEM color when painting a car
  • Lack of Single Player events, like I want an all-Japanese car races on Willow Springs or some European tracks
  • Changing song whenever I enter a new menu - seriously, keep the ****ing song playing!
  • Steering wheel angle mismatching the front wheels angle - this is especially obvious when you drift, countersteer and the car stabilizes and going straight without sliding while the steering wheel is turned like 90 degrees to the side.

But its already on screen on top of every opponent by default? Anyway I think you highlighted the exact problem - pop-ups are distracting.

Every time there’s an update it wrecks my damn tunes. I’m actually able to specifically get cars to 500.00, 550.00, 600.00 and 700.00 with no problems but now I have to redo my garage again.

Completing the dirt track Circuit Experiences.

I'll be damned if I don't realise that All Gold is within my reach. The sheer amount of retries required hurts not only because it's a massive time sink, but I know that the skills perfected in that time are going to be mostly useless for the rest of the game

The time of day in demonstration videos for Circuit Experience is always bright afternoon sunshine, which is never what you drive in.

Is it only me or the scaling is bad as f?at least 8 cars can fit in this width replay scene.

I personally feel stupid when it is 2022 and i ve spent almost 100 euros for this game and it seems from examples like these ones that the game will be READY in a year from now.
(they boosted the physics / the graphics/ the overall xp and it is not even close to that. I will not talk about online races / penalty system LOL )
AND yes i am a romantic player who happened to play gt2 in ps1. im not a kid and i buy the games from my own income.

Respect should be mutual in every aspect
