The Things That Annoy You

In older GT games you could buy like a street suspension kit which is a lot cheaper than fully suspension kit and would give you some adjustability.
I remember.
Thing is you can grab a measuring tape and crawl under anything with 4 wheels with a couple of wrenches and get some toe and camber adjustments. Hell my riding lawn mower has toe adjustment.

1. Braking, corner entry, apex, and exit cones are gone.
2. No separate upgraded or adjustable sway bars. You must buy a full racing kit for any adjustability.
3. Cockpit view is MUCH too low. +1-5 makes no change. My rig was perfect in Sport, now I stare at the dash.
4. Cockpit wobble. If you like it, great. But let me turn it off completely. This is probably the reason for the change in cockpit camera settings.
5. Used car dealership doesn't really change, and the prices are dumb. Also just changes the top cars to what collection I'm currently on.
6. Mentioned many times before, but worth mentioning again...the "catch the rabbit" races. GO BACK TO GRID STARTS.

One thing I do like that they changed. The club-sport transmissions aren't using ear-piercing straight cut gears anymore. Actually makes me want to use them.

I love the racing experience in GT 7.

But by far my biggest gripe, the thing that’s really spoiling it for me, is that I can’t get rid of things I don’t want in my garage. Yeah, ideally I’d like to be able to sell cars, but being unable to even dump/delete them at all is a really weird thing for PD to build into the game. I think it’s a first for a GT game (tho I skipped 5 and 6 so not too sure...)

I’d love to know what’s behind their decision making because I sure cannot think of a good reason for doing this.

Are you sure that's the case? Press triangle in car selection menu -> delete? I'm almost certain I deleted a duplicate car early on

Everyone badmouthing this game....
Yeah, next they'll be threatening to boycott parts of it in the hope that PD listen to their issues.

Oh...

Well played, I'm thrusted upon my own words....
I guess my ideas of boycotts are badmouthing the game... thank you for keeping me honest.

I say boycott it too. Game is nothing but a bunch of aggrivation. Wait till everyone elses starts messing up and they will understand. 4 days now cant earn credits cant drive cars i like due to need oil changes. Sorry ur having issues too

  1. Odometer bug was carried over from GTS
  2. Livery editor has some weird UI decisions, i.e. when you exit he color menu your cursor jumps back to the positioning button.
  3. Not being able to buy parts from the settings sheet maybe at a 5% premium).
  4. Windshield banners are not fully colorable with decals on most cars.
  5. Still can't move sport mode number boards.
  6. Still can't group decals (and ideally save them or at least copy them to a clipboard).
  7. Still no text assembler in the livery editor.
  8. Not being able to undo wide body kits when buying a new body.
  9. Not being able to out decals on front windows.
  10. No sort function for decals.
  11. ...

You can colour the windshield banner. Not being able to undo widebody modifications is a reasonable thing that doesn't annoy me in the slightest. It is explicitly stated that once the widebody is installed, you cannot remove it so there's no point complaining.

I know, but it's still annoying being limited with using decals on the edges.

I'm well aware of that as well, but why does a new bought body for the car also automatically have to be widened?

What are the little things about GT7 that annoy you the most? Here are a few little things that annoy me:
-Having to create a livery to change the colour of a car
-The game forcing you back to the home screen before going to another section of GT Auto
-Not being able to fit every wheel to every car
-Lenient event restrictions
-Lack of proper city courses
The amount of talk by the "coaches" and the guy on the cafe. Seriously, I don't want to have to click X 10 times because I already know what a hot hatch is. So much wasting time on a game that is supposed to be about driving.

Cars going through tunnels dont really sound much better, especially on HSR,surely a race car going through a tunnel would sound loud as?Admittedly sound is through my tv so a surround sound would maybe make it better, but even so.
And on the mission when you have to overtake the cars on Le Mans track, having to wait 1min 10secs to restart every time you redo it😄
Let me tell you, the first point you made was one I had been stuck on until I finally made it to my childhood home to pick up my surround sound setup (Entry-Level Klipsch with a pretty nice sub running off a Sony STR DH750, so nothing crazy). I currently have two floorstanding speakers next to the TV, two bookshelf speakers set up behind where I sit, and the sub sits on a pad on top of my carpet floor. Night and day difference from just the TV audio.

Taking my '02 r34 V Spec II Nur around the Tokyo Expwy is approximately 5 times more satisfying since hooking up those speakers. The thing screams and howls its way around that track now. I've been hunting an engine swap from my daily mileage tickets, I need to try a 3/4 rotor RX-7 on the new sound setup.

As for the overtake mission? I about fell out of my chair the first time I nailed it. I'm a huge Porsche fan, so I didn't mind the grindiness of the mission itself since I was driving such an incredible piece of history. It was also pretty funny to watch myself and some of the other faster cars at the back of the pack zoom past the slower cars at the front. I'm not sure why we had to sit for so long and watch them all take off, I'd think you'd be able to run it like the other missions and just jack up the starting distance intervals.

Inability to group decals.
Inability to adjust spring rate like a normal human being by using lb/kg adjustments.
Inability to purchase tires from the settings screen.
Inability to use the carbon ""paint"" on panels, and only overall.
The lack of a Forza style set of sliders for paint colors and decals.
The extremely clunky controls in the livery editor for scaling and skew and such.

Yeah you can discard duplicates (but not sell them) but you must keep one of any car you’ve got. Which is just so unnecessary and annoying.

Brand Central not making use of the 3D modeled mall building.

No shortcut menus yet unlike GT1/GT2.

No license select menu in pre-race like GT1/GT2 again (for all license, not just next license). To make it worse GTS previously featured that.

Car logos still not returning yet.

The game main menu separating Music Rally from everything else in the game.

Still not allowing players to have free look at the cars.

No feature to access car's features like opening their door or removing roof or such.

No car animations in GT Auto but only stock animations (albeit Wide Body animation is golden).

No tree canopies on Deep Forest and Trial Mountain.

Starting & Stopping License being on High Speed Ring rather than on Route X.

My main one is having to return to the garage to change car.

Also, anyone else find the visibility at the Bathurst night race a problem?

I went cross country and completely missed the penultimate corner after the long straight.

I couldn't see anything.

I can't stand anymore the talking heads and particularily Sarah who repeats the same thing after each circuit experience fail/retry. Oh Nice they added the possibility to shorten the "dialogs" with circle... We wan't to block them completely. It was not so bad the first times, but it quickly grow old 🤬😤

There are white boards on the left of the track which serve well as a marker.

The "Pokémon-ish" feel of the characters (and by extension the whole game) is endearing, but gets old fast. If some of the e-sports racers aren't familiar with English, just hire voiceovers. For all its faults, GRID Legends feels better when it comes to interacting with the player.
