Bit of a vent after a long weekend that involved a fair bit of grinding

Custom Races are irritatingly close to being great
But defeat is snatched from the jaws of victory with obvious bugs such as the rolling start distance can either be 20m, or broken. Cars only use their default tyres regardless of what you set, unless it's RH of course. To have a varied grid of liveries, you have to buy multiples of a car, lovely, especially if you want to use any LCD 20,000,000cr cars. Boost 'Weak' interferes less than Boost 'Off', obviously. How on earth can Off not just turn it off?! Oh and naturally, the payouts are crap. If the difficulty is maxed out, the payout should reflect the ~25 - 30,000 credits per minute rate of the highest paying PD races. Setting up a 24 hour highest difficulty race ends up being worth about 150 credits a minute. Player PP rating vs AI should have more impact too, I beat a grid of Tomahawks (~1359PP) in a 60s Abarth 595 (~130pp) and the payout was still crap.
- Inconsistent payouts
Hardly a new gripe, but why can't all higher difficulty races just pay out at similar rates? There seems to be some weird curated prize money to everything, when it could just be an estimate of how long the race will take, multiplied by ~25 - 30,000cr per minute (with CRB) and job done. Then you could merrily race whatever you wanted without the nagging feeling that you're wasting your time because this race you enjoyed that took 25 minutes was only worth 50,000cr, whereas that time could have been spent redoing Sardegna (again) and earning 727,500cr.
- Engine swap design
They already have the option to let you buy a new engine for your car. Why on earth can you not just buy another and that go in to your stock of available engines that can be swapped? They'd still have an annoying barrier to entry (which seems crucial to PD) that you would have to buy the donor car first, and then buy a new engine for that, but it would at least give you a logical and borderline realistic avenue to engine swaps. Ignoring the crap "extra menus" where they're trying to apologetically shoehorn in a few extra engine tickets, I have spent 360 hours playing the game, and in that time I have legitimatelly only earned 1 engine ticket. That's ludicrous.
- Roulette
Obviously. Oh look, the smallest amount of money, again. Then perhaps one in 50 times, it's a low spec car part you can freely buy, for a car I don't have, that's worth less than the smallest amount of money on the wheel. Oh but don't fret, once in a blue moon, there's an invite to buy a car I either don't want, or already have. Just give us 10,000 credits for completing the daily marathon and be done with it. Why not also give a 5 star ticket for doing 300 miles in a day? And a 6 star ticket for doing 500 miles perhaps?
And breathe. I think that helped
