About the TV thing, I use my 1280X1024 computer monitor, and sometimes my TV which is a little bit bigger and more rectangle shaped.
Also, I got some of the Madman MLP DVD's, and I've noticed a problem (and it's not with my TV or Playstation which is running it). The episodes run faster than they do when watching via Youtube. At first I noticed that the voices were slightly squeakier, but then I thought about it, and the timing was slightly fast. I was watching Suited for Success at the time, and then Art of the Dress Started, and it really came into effect, I could barely enjoy the episode for the rest of it because I couldn't help but notice it the entire time. All the notes are about 1 semitone up so the notes aren't right. Me noticing this is starting to make me think that I in fact have perfect pitch (if I do, I shall be amazingly happy).
I don't know why Madman has decided to do this, all the episode times are slashed from 22:02 to about 21:08, and it's sort of awkward (ran it through the PC and WMP to find that out). Just did a small check and it is about 10 bpm faster. If there is any reason for this I think it would be due to disk space. I'm not sure how much time a DVD disc is capable or running, but these DVD's run 110 minutes. Which when reading adds perfectly up to 5 episodes. At first I thought that it would have been to fit the "Karaoke sing-along" in, but this was not the case, as the next volume (4) had the same speed difference, even though it had no extras. Sort of disappointing really as I was excited to be able to watch the show on my actual TV for the first time.
EDIT: Turns out that it is a problem that many shows face when being converted from NTSC to PAL, and it has been sped up by 4% (also altering the pitch by just under 1 semitone), this is to account for the differnences in frame rates. I think it's NTSC has 24, and PAL has 50, 24 can't go into 50, so it's either make every 24th frame last 2 frames, or speed up the entire thing by 4%. They went with the latter because less people would notice.
