They're making a Vinyl one, right?

Of course! Why wouldn't they?

If anyone wants a new money bank at home and a high-quality figure for a reasonable price, why not get both?

Expect to see Rarity and Fluttershy versions soon.

Man, they sure picked a difficult-to-model facial expression for that one. And yet it actually works. I'm gonna have to look into getting one of those.

Also, I'm sorting through all my old music, and I uncovered this gem that I forgot existed:

I miss stuff like Balloon Party, even if the two Makkon songs were literally the only songs that weren't weapons-grade auditory torture.

On transformers 4, I saw this:

Rainbows roll out! You know what it will transform:

Now to find Derpy. Imagine being in behind like this:

Uh... Ok? I don't get it; can someone explain in the next post?

Just listened to this on Equestria Daily; brilliant song.

The Porsche 935 is all of it's laggy turbocharged awesomeness has Apple sponsorship from the time. The Apple logo looked like a zap apple long before zap apples were even a thing, and @FrzGT is obsessed with that.

...And the 935 in the second picture is actually a light blue with yellow striping on it. ;)

Note how it sits perfectly in his hand. Without moving. As if it's right there. As tangible as that doughnut wrapped around his finger.

Sarcasm aside, those special effects look downright shoddy for a big Hollywood blockbuster. Why not just have the transformation effect put in instead of the props themselv- ...Oh right, this is Transformers we're talking about. Where CG is the answer for everything.

And because it's a Michael Bay flick, everything asplodes into a million pieces.

It also doesn't look like he is holding Dash, just sort of sitting on his arms. That gif is all I have seen of this movie, and I hope I never see any more of it.

Also there is the problem with its name.

"Transformium...."

Oh oh, I can do that. Rainbowium, Derpybium, Gran Turisium, GTPlatinum. Such creativity beats all fanarts here.......

Simple way to make an element: Add random name + "ium"

I really wish I could go to Bronycon; but my stupid parents won't let me go because of some idiotic reasons. For example, they say that "it's for girls", or "it's not for people your age", or one of my favorites "it'll make you dumber", or "the fandom is a cult" (hate that one), or just random yelling at me for browsing pony content or doing anything pony related. All of those reasons are accompanied by my parents yelling at me for a good five minutes or so.

Any way that I can deal with this situation?

It seems that those of us who had been here in the early days of this thread are beginning to drift apart with separate interests coming into fold. I myself am looking into investing in a computer and load up on a few racing games (iRacing, rFactor, Assetto Corsa, etc.) so I can properly be a sim racer, hell, I'm even looking to replace the all-Thrustmaster hardware that I have in favor of Fanatec goodies (I kinda wish I got that stuff in the first place.).

It's not like this thread is just going to go away altogether, but I do miss the early days when there was activity all the time.

@Azure Flare

Yeah, most of us have gotten a bit bored of Pony, though some still watch the show, myself included. Season Four was nice, but the fandom just isn't something I wanna be associated with anymore, and haven't wanted to for a long time. Most of the writers and artists that made this fandom so amazing in the early days are gone or sparse with updates, and there simply isn't much substance left to the fandom, aside from the same crappy musicians making music.

Personally I've gotten right into Anime lately. It has the things that I like about Pony; interesting characters, conflicts and comedy, but does them all better than Pony does, with no real marketing undercurrent or kid-pandering. They're also often a one-season thing, so the story arcs end in closure, and there's actual story arcs and character growth during said series, in most cases.

The Mane Six have the same flaws since I first saw them 3 years ago, and I just don't find it interesting to see the same "Fluttershy is shy" story over and over.

I need to watch more anime, really. I've loved the stuff I have watched; Gurenn Lagann, Angle Beats, Attack on Titan, Steins; Gate, Full Metal Alchemist, FMA: Brotherhood, and all that good stuff. I still enjoy some of the crossover videos that occasionally pop up, but I don't actively seek them out the way I use to. In some ways I feel like Double Rainboom really marked the point at which the fandom felt like it was running out of fuel, since that was the most crushingly disappointing thing since I found out Santa wasn't real. Equestria Daily turning into a site that posts seemingly random content with no base line for quality not long after the release of Double Rainboom didn't help things, much.

Personally, I never really thought the show did anything more than okay, there was always something out there that did most things better, but the lack of a long overarching story was sort of what gave this show it's charm. I loved it for that because it allowed the fandom so much room to work with without defying the character or the world as they were in-canon, but building on top of what's already there. I still occasionally browse Derpibooru, and I'm still a member of the local Brony group, but I go to those meetups more for the people than the ponies. I'm down to a single Twilight plushie I got at a convention, and the Comicon 2011 poster my friend got me years ago, but aside from that I have no physical merchandise. I even just retired my 2 year old Rainbow Dash wallet in favor of a Skyrim(The badge is really high quality metal) one, which I also used to replace my pony lanyard. Though the prize of my considerably downsized pony-stuffs-collection is this:

And I'm still strongly considering finding a way to print out a sticker for my car like this one I use in Forza:

So if anyone knows a place to find the vector that was based off of, and a place that would be able to print it about 5" wide I'd love to know.

Also, though I don't pay much attention to pony news anymore, when something like this pops up I can't help but enjoy it:

That's actually made many times more adorable than it already was by who shared it, and why.

The fandom's kinda been through the wringer over the past year. Split opinions on S3, Hasbro making more of an effort to kerb the amount of fan content, and the whole DWM affair that dragged on far longer than it needed to without the cleanest of outcomes. And while I don't get the hate some people are dishing out in regards to S4 when they haven't bothered to watch more than half the episodes, it does appear to have lost much of its charm having gone on as long as it has. The finale was excellent however, and some of the best episodes of the entire series were S4 episodes. While others were better off never seeing the light of day (Daring Don't), and others were sorely overrated (Pinkie Pride).

I can agree with most of what @CoffeeGrunt said about character flaws being presented in the same way repeatedly and getting old as a result, when they were initially a key part of what made them relatable. Fluttershy probably isn't the best example to use given how much of an improvement she went through in S4, but seeing, say, Rainbow Dash go through the same hoops since season 1 concerning the Wonderbolts makes me wonder if that's all she'll ever do. Simply put; it's beginning to stagnate.

I'm still in it for the art, fics and the odd comic though. They've been the fandom's mainstay for me over the past few years anyway and offer more freedom than the TV series ever could. The fandom itself I'll admit I'm beginning to grow indifferent towards, with its ever-present good and bad sides. While the friends I've made through sharing the same interest in this one series definitely makes up for any negativity within the fandom.

I do feel like I would have gotten into more widely acclaimed TV series' and anime sooner if it wasn't for MLP rearing its head in 2011, though some of the anime I've watched since last year I only found out about through various Brony discussions or crossover fanart. I'd never claim FiM to be one of the greatest shows of our time either (it really isn't, though the appeal it's gained can definitely be considered unique), but most of the shows I've watched in the past 12 months have gone a long way to reduce FiM's impact as a series with marginally more depth than most other shows aimed at the target demographic. Especially one with coloured horses.

Many people will say the fandom is only just reaching its peak. But for us who joined in the early days, that happened back in 2012.

It seems like FiM was really just one of the few shows/movies starting what seems to be a trend of making shows for kids that have the depth to be enjoyable for anyone. I mean, How To Train Your Dragon 2 was one of the most emotionally charged movies I've seen this year, and that has a PG rating. Same goes for the first movie, which came out the same year as MLP; I actually remember that the feeling I got being surprised by MLP was similar to that of HTTYD. In fact, I even said as much:
Alright, I caved, I watched the first 2 episodes.
And, somehow, I liked it. Kind of the same feeling I got watching How To Train Your Dragon, expected more boring kids stuff with not much going on, but this is pretty good.

Granted, HTTYD doesn't really have the "girly" aspect that ponies also had to deal with, but it feels similar in terms of "you get more than you would have expected, given the marketing". Though with HTTYD 2 it isn't really just surprising depth, it sorta completely blows your mind.

Yeah. Though HTTYD is more along the lines of something that anyone of any age can go and enjoy without people asking questions or giving you weird looks, and it seems as though more adults are willing to watch movies that aren't specifically aimed at them nowadays given how well received they turn out to be.

FiM may have started out as more than a simple marketing ploy aimed squarely at girls 4-12, thanks mainly to Faust's development and direction setting a precedence for the rest of the series. But while appreciation for it has spread far wider than expected thanks to the character traits and animation style garnering shedloads more appeal than anyone expected, it's done more to divide opinions than HTTYD has up to this point. Mainly people who just can't get over the fact that it's pastel coloured equines like the ones their mothers or sisters used to (or currently) play with.

At least FiM got the kind of exposure it deserved for being more than a simple "watch our shallow cartoon show with mindless characters and buy ALL our toys!", even if official marketing outside North America has been sketchy at best unlike HTTYD. And sure, the toy aspect did creep in more and more over time with... mixed results, but the writing overall has remained consistent up to now.

You would think so, but that's about the reaction I was getting from everyone at work when I brought it up. Then again, I brought it up frequently and vocally, so maybe they just thought it was strange that I was as excited as I was.
