If I were to start reading TNTNE, about how long would it take?

Depends. The chapters aren't that long, but you can't read them rapid fire. You'll get lost.

It takes me 20-30 minutes to read a chapter, then (usually) another 20-30 minutes to gather my thoughts. Occasionally twice that for the really heavy chapters (like 8 and 10).

And really, how grimdark is it? I haven't read a grimdark fanfic, because this show really isn't something I want to have ruined by some horribly sad and awful story.

Its kinda hard to describe without a baseline, actually.

Cupcakes was so ridiculous it doesn't matter and makes for decent humour, but I don't really want to read really gruesome stories about ponies, I don't have a problem with grimdark stories, but about ponies? Perhaps not...

Its nothing like Cupcakes. It earns that GrimDark tag, but not in any way like Cupcakes did.


That being said, I wouldn't say its any more "upbeat" than Cupcakes was.

And then this story was written, and the fanbase went full circle (Language Warning on this one).

One of the best uses of stylistic suck I've ever seen. Technically And Then... Then She Exploded!... TWICE!!! did a lot of the same stuff first, but this one is targeted more at Pony fan fics in general whereas that one was targeted specifically at Rainbow Dash.

Not really,I play "The art of the dress" while playing Manhunt,I don't see any problem with that.

Apart from that,something funny,I got everyone at my workplace listening to "Art of the dress",and we learn most of the lyrics already .

EDIT: I'd give Five's Company a read now, but I only got 4 hours of sleep last night and then spent most of the day building some ridiculously overcomplicated system of wires, switches, doors, pistons, and other various objects in Minecraft, so I am incredibly tired. I'm not going to bed just yet, but I wouldn't be able to really concentrate on reading anything right now.

Well, I like weird, and the weirdness was what I found funny, but some things were a little....creepy. The whole Pinkie Pie starting to cry part was where I stopped laughing for a minute.

Since I've read Reconnection he's my second favorite supporting character, and 3rd overall, only to be beat by Trixie.

He isn't among my top 10 favourite characters to be honest. I haven't read Reconnection, or anything after part 2 of Severing for that matter, so I don't know what happened in that story which made you consider Big Mac to be your third favourite character.

Also, I just went back through this thread and discovered that I rated The Best Night Ever as my second favourite episode back in May, but just the other day I said that Bridle Gossip was my second favourite. Just to be clear, I currently consider Bridle Gossip to be my second favourite and The Best Night Ever would be third. At least I have my top three MLP episodes in order now.

Hmm, well then I would have to say a full length theatrical feature film in CGI. BUT the CGI would be rendered to look just like the 2D designs. It can be done, and look awesome.

I've seen this in many animes from the last 2-3 seasons,specially in Seitokai no Ichizon,that animation is fantastic,such a shame that American animators don't have the same budget of the Japanese ones.

Anyaway,it seems that the first two seasons were projected to be produced,so I'm guessing 25-26 episodes again,and maybe the series being emitted in late October.

Also, and I know this might sound a bit silly,american cartoon production differs a little bit depending on the target demographics,I wonder if the change of target demographics will change the actual production processes of the series,as he sort of said:

Season 2 is just like season 1, only we are a little wiser and have made improvements in efficiency and storytelling.
