Rarity and Luna are voiced by the same person. Mind=blown.

"But Celeeestiaaaaa! The moon was reeeally cold and my fur's starting to freeze."

one more to go...:nervous:

:D 👍 👍

I exploded, twice!

Its nice to know that even my most cynical of paranoia can't prepare me for everything. Read what seemed going into it to be a straight up Sad Fic. And the beginning of it made it seem like the correct interpretation to make.

My reaction when the ending happened:

^That one had me cringing a little and I've never read the story.

I mean, seeing Celestia strike down a crying defenseless pony isn't the kind of thing I feel requires context.
That one probably would have bothered me regardless, true, but that is far from the only instance of it happening.

It seems that I'm immune to the ponies and becoming a brony. Thank you, midichlorians, thank you.

Means you're missing out anyway Leo. :-P

And I'll give it a look Toro, I've galloped headfirst into writer's block with my new chapter. It's so difficult writing for canon ponies.

/Edit/

Well, I saw that fanfic as I skirted through EDaily looking for the Drawfriend. I actually said to myself about the ending, and it turned out my hunch was right. Kinda killed the fic for me though, but fairly well written in an eerie way. I like the idea of Spike being covetous rather than loving though, interesting direction.

Five's Company is 🤬 hilarious.
I'd actually post my favorite line, but Im on my phone right now.

Im sitting in a room with about 20 other people and I gave up holding in the laughter when Rarity mentioned how "big" her horn was.

So, lets play a game of hypotheticals.

Say I was finishing planning out a story involving Gilda (and that this time the inspiration came to me right before I went to bed rather than during my sleep). Now say that this story had Gilda occasionally talking (albeit, only in flashbacks). How would I write her dialog to be less... painful then it was on the show, but still get the point across that it was obviously Gilda?

Any other character in the show I feel I can write dialog for without much trouble (while I'm still wary of Fluttershy, I think I can pull it off. And I'm going to have to this time, so I'll definitely find out). But Gilda...
Her character is easy enough to write in terms of actions, but her speech is less so. I want the vocal mannerisms to be correct, but I don't want her to start dropping the same type of slang last seen in Happy Days. It basically broke the episode for me, and I know it would break any story I tried to write her in. In Griffon The Brush Off (and yes, this time I will watch the entire episode before I start directly referencing it. I'm not going to screw that up again), other than her specific word usage her most notable verbal tic is that she starts speaking long before she is completely sure of what she is saying, but I'm not sure if writing her that way would make people "get" it.

Basically,Gilda speech works in a very similar way to Rainbow Dash, same "language",similar expressions, but the real challenge with Gilda is that she is differentiated from RD because of her "Jerkiness",this make her speech a real pain in the neck, because is the same of RD and is differentiated by her actions, maybe a way that could probably work is by making her speech more aggressive, and be supported by her actions.

Apart from that I found this pics, has to be pony related somehow:

And this only needs a version with Fluttershy/Rainbow Dash to be in Psychological Series terms.

Just remember that bit of the Psychological Series when RD was making out with Fluttershy, thanks to the drug and her addiction to it,damn that series is good.

I wonder if the guy who makes it will make an eventual update to the story

I dunno about Gilda, I even have the capability to forgive Trixie by trying to imagine what motivates her, but Gilda's speech is fairly...well, not simple. I dunno, I plain and simply hate the character, so I'd never really consider reading or writing about her.

Is it a Gilda redemption story?

Just finished "Star Gazzing" and "omigawd d'awwwww" is the last feeling I expected when I started.

Great story:tup:

I would try to help you out, Toro, but I'm not exactly a literary genious.

Hmmm, I'm considering a hiatus from my current fanfic until I get some inspiration working on other stuff.

I have two ideas I fancy trying, either a crossover of the movie Equilibrium, (it focuses on the nature of emotion and if you haven't seen it, I HIGHLY reccomend it to you), or Halo, (because it actually does have a pretty extensive and interesting backstory I can weave into.)

Is it a Gilda redemption story?
No.

I know that such a thing is inherently impossible without assloads of weak-willed fanon excuses for her actions, and Junior Speedsters Forever did the "why is Gilda such a bitch" angle far better than I ever could have.

So...what are you doing Toro?

Also I've decided Halo. There isn't one yet, and I feel there maybe, possibly should be. I've also worked out who should play who, (Celestia being an Admiral war hero and Twilight playing her AI seem fairly in-character, and Dash and AJ playing ODSTs also is an idea that appeals to me. Maybe I'll fit Fluttershy in as a scientist, I have the character for one planned out, but sadly not the need. Pinkie...I dunno, a marine? A pony that can walk through slipspace?)

And Rarity can be a civilian that gets killed.

Interesting story concept,however...

Er....gif

(*Goes back to work*)

The funny thing is, I wrote out that concept, but have a tab open writing the intro to the Equilibrium fic. It really irritates me when I do that.

Although so far writing the Equilibrium intro is going really well. It's such a damn good movie.

Sequel to Griffon the Brush-Off, but not one where the intent is sorta-redemption for the antagonist like my last story was.

Focuses on Dash specifically, with Pinkie, Fluttershy and AJ as supporting characters.

Edit: Also not one where the story is intended to convey my interpretation of the episode, I think I should add. Both because Griffon the Brush-Off was pretty straightforward anyways and because I didn't really like how doing so in my last story came out, even after all those rewrites.

Edit 2: A "Mane Six are Immortal" story that isn't positively soul-crushing? What a Tweest!

There should definitely be a Halo based fan-fic.

I had the same idea when I first started throwing around ideas for a fan-fic, but then I remember I have the writing talent of a rock(see, that wasn't clever at all!).

Good concept, although I'm not a fan of Rarity being a random civilian who dies, so I would work around that, but it's your story, so whatever.

Also, just finished "A Terrible Secret" and god dammit, Derpy....
(Yes it took me THIS long to decide to read a story you were all talking about more than a month ago)

I dunno, I can't see much call for a fashionista in a multi-apocalyptic war...

Maybe an armour design scientist...could that work? Anyway I'm having tonnes of fun writing the Equilibrium fic. It's incredibly challenging to write an interesting creative fic about a pony with no emotions yet.

That was so long ago that it took me a couple of minutes to even remember the role Derpy played in that story.

What about an armor/weapon/vehicle designer?
Maybe instead of making things look pretty her job is to make them look badass while still being functional.
When they design things in the real military they try to make things look bigger and badder than they actually are to get that "shock and awe" effect, so I think she'd fit a role like that pretty well.

If you can't find a way to fit an engineer into the story, maybe she could just have a few passing mentions and some small parts....almost anything is better than her being a random person who dies.

Maybe I could make her a covenant that gets shot instead? :P

I like designer, Fluttershy the xenobiologist and Rarity the psychological warfare expert. Hmmm, okay, she's in. When I eventually get round to writing it that is.

Firstly, Equilibrium crossover, then Halo. Equilibrium has so much scope for emotional writing in the mid to end sections that I can't pass it up. Halo is also pretty fun, I want to cast Celestia as Preston Cole. It'd be an interesting role to explore from both canon perspectives.

Okay, I give up, why does every single story I read about with Luna in it involve her with an abacus? Is there some sort of official text about it, or is this Touhou-tier fanwank asshattery?
