There is,as long as other demographic shows interest for the show there always will be subtle changes, take for example Cars 2,Pixar didn't expected any any interest from car nuts in the first movie, then this demographic show interest, and then Cars 2 took a broader target demographic by introducing all sort of things like Italian cars, and classics and some iconic cars and places, that kind of subtle changes(changes which in my opinion were planned to sell more toys and merchandise).

I guess that for MLP:FiM season two there will be probably subtle changes as well, maybe a computer nut concept pony,or a writer concept pony,or even a bartender pony,I know it sound silly, but the probabilities of introducing new merchandise to the new market are quite high, and the best way to introduce this kind of merchandise is with the series.

With that said,time for pics:

or even a bartender pony

Pony Joe is disappoint.

The demo won't change, but I'd be willing to bet there'll be plenty of hidden nods to the Brony community, maybe some stuff in the background just for us Bronies. And we'll probably have an influence on some of the characters like you said, but the influence will probably be very subtle, so subtle that most Bronies probably won't even pick up on it the first time around.

I have to say that this specific example is completely untrue. The original film was written with the automobile buffs in mind as a periphery demographic from the start, so any expansion on that for the second film was just that: an expansion rather than catering to a new audience.

All of the major U.S. automotive magazines were given advance-screenings of the original film alongside normal film critics, and there were several obvious shout outs that only the most dedicated of car buffs would get in the first place (for example, one of the interviews the Pixar guys did with I believe Car and Driver made a specific point to mention how they recorded the actual sounds made by all of the real life cars in the film, and how they did things like pitch change VW Beetle exhaust notes to represent the noises made by insects. The Micheal Schumacher cameo isn't something that 95% of the typical audience for the film would have gotten either).

The two situations aren't really comparable; and if anything, I would say Cars 2 toned a lot of that stuff down compared to the first film because the attention to detail was much lower.

As far as Season 2 goes, the most we should expect are scripted Derpy Hooves appearances (which was already confirmed to be on the cards but only really means that there won't be any more Derpy clones running around) and maybe certain fan names being applied officially to background ponies. Even something as innocent as an abacus joke is probably expecting far too much in terms of referencing.

Thiessen already said (I believe on his Twitter) that Hasbro wants the team to make Season 2 business as usual while the suits figure out where to go from here, but the target demo will never change from what Season 1 was because that is where the real money is.

Edit: I'm totally going to dig out my old wall clock with the replaceable backplate and do something like this:

I....I like this girl.

But Susan McCabe is annoying.
Apparently if a group of people really like a show, it's because they feel left out by society. Because people can't just like something because it's well made and fun......
I think this might be the most positive Brony report I've seen so far.

Anyway, I am having troubly keeping my eyes open, so I'm off to bed:

Well I have to detract that statement(my quoted statement, not your statement),however, what I wanted to point out really is that the public for the first movie was bigger than the initial conception, then Pixar decided to shift interests,to be more precise,it went from American-automotive related themes,to International-more-abroad themes(F1 introduction as an example),still within the automotive theme, but using a different approach(I should have written this before, sadly Gimp is trolling me,and I got distracted by an exterior chat),That is what I wanted to point out really, subtle changes, but with different approach.

I do see MLP season 2 being closely similar to season 1,however these changes produced by the demographic will be apparent in later episodes(about 20+ episodes,my expectations of course).

Apart from that, someone somehow wanted a WWII fanfic, and here it is:

The Battle of Staliongrad

I wonder if they make a ponified version of the Luftwaffe(Nazi Wundervoltz?).
[Not yet,but its a reasonable start]

Which brings me to Die atemberaubenden Farbenzauber :

das ist alles.

More news from BronyCray!!!!

July 12th: Chapter 14 is done!

ish!

I have to still edit it and make minor revisions, and then send it off to the editors (thank you everybody who offered to help, by the way. It's a huge weight off my chest), and then HTML tag it. I just wanted to share the good news with you all

In other news, I never posted the update for what I worked on last night (two nights ago?). It ended being my other story, which I'm going to send to the prereaders RIGHT NOW. I'll let you know how it goes, but here's some hints as to what it is.

The Outline of the plot is that a pony is having some troubles, some great and some small, and makes a few bad decisions. It illustrates how easily a ponies life can take a bad turn, and has a [grimdark] tag. It's a different kind of grimdark than TNTNE, however, and also uses all OC ponies. As I posted earlier, it's inspired by a song, and if you look very closely at this update you can figure out which one

Yay,Now I learn how to use some of the Gimp tools,I will make some art once I find some free time, time to sleep, but before going:

So,I told him not to do it,still,he did it.

Well,Zero is the only thing that I beg him not to modify,I got the terrible feeling that he will mess with it, 🤬 .

Goodnight everypony.

Well I finally read Fallout: Equestria...closed it halfway through the second chapter, I tried my best, but it was a hard slog. It's just so...long-winded.

@Coffeegrunt, listen to the audio books. I know I keep saying it but they're well done and the swearing in the chapters comes to life. I know how odd that sounds but it's hilarious, to hear a pony swear to Celestia.

Holy 🤬 That Ferrari pony looks great, MercilessOne will love it!

More news from BronyCray!!!!

I think I might know the artist (Band) which created the song that inspired BronyCray's other story judging by what he said in the update, although I can't think what song it is exactly.

Anyway, here's a cool drawing I've just come across:

Oh god, I've just come across a Tyrant Celestia comic which reminded me of certain fanfic.

Coffee sorry for the slow reply I was playing Fallout (I'm serious). Yeah it's all on the ED page. They also have flash videos now, you still have to read them though.

Good work Unit One, I guess we know who won now.

I went to the DA page to see if there was an explanation for what was going on, and the guy basically said he did it because. So no help there.

He did have an awesome Ponyfied version of a Sonic Adventure 2 cutscene, though, so it all works out in the end.

Tyrant Celestia? Do want see!
The last one in here. Even by my considerably looser standards for Tyrant Celestia jokes, that one is pretty messed up.

Oh that? I saw it on KYM...not that bad.

@Brando

Is K. (See what I did thar?) Don't worry, I'll kill myself for that later.

Btw what Fallout? I'm the only person I know that prefers NV to 3. I love both, and while I appreciated the good writing and injokes ot both ponies and Fallout. The story just moved too slowly IMO.

Anyways, I'll download the audiobooks and give it another run.

This song.

Wait, is there a reference to that song in his latest update? All I know is that he mentioned 'Sound of Silence' in his July 10th update, and that he realised that it was the same name he gave to chapter 12 of TNTNE.

I think he may have been confusing that with this.
BronyCray
EDIT: I JUST FOUND OUT THAT SOUND OF SILENCE IS THE NAME OF A SONG. I feel like an idiot. Also, it's a very good song, even it has nothing to do with chapter 12.

I was confused too until I went back and found this quote and remembered he was talking about chapter 12.

Anyway,

From Adult Swim.

Word for word, that is exactly what I was about to say.
Really nice job on that.👍

Seeing that all I can hope for is that you're drawing my Corvette Pony.

EDIT:
Dammit, I really need to catch up on my reading, because every time one of these fan-fics pops up that I want to check out I usually let it pass because I've got others to read.

Well I'm going somewhere that'll involve a lot of sitting, so I'll save a couple fan-fics and take care of that while I'm gone.

So I wasn't planning on The New Dawn of The Old Night being updated.

And since Tyrant Luna is by far Scariest Luna, I basically had to burn through the chapter of Progress I was saving to get my mind off of it. I was almost afraid to keep reading at one point.

@Toronado

Nope...should I?
Eh...

Its really good, and I love the concept far more than I probably should. But it is dark, and every time you see a Trollestia or (especially) Tyrant Celestia image there will be a niggling feeling at the back of your mind that tells you that you really shouldn't find it funny.

And it makes some of them, including that specific one, straight up cringe-inducing.

^That one had me cringing a little and I've never read the story.

I mean, seeing Celestia strike down a crying defenseless pony isn't the kind of thing I feel requires context.

I might actually check that story out one day.
I have to say despite how much Severing and Reconnection effected me, I'm still glad I read them, so I figure I'll feel the same way about that. Which reminds me, I'll go ahead and read the Epilogue for Reconnection when I have time later today.
