Toro, I was watching you in front of me and your car was all over the place... I think I have a lag problem. Somehow it only rears it's ugly head in GT5.
I did a speedtest for Melbourne and NY, Melbourne is ~10mb and 30 ping, NY is <1mb and 350 ping.

Next time I'll bringing my Cappuccino and other K-cars.

Edit: Toro, the Integra and the S2000 were new cars (I bought them 30 minutes before the race), I wanted to test them out. That might hopefully explain why I was running so bad. (I'm also a poor driver compared to you .)
Also what tires was I running on the Stingray last week?

Wow, that was alot longer than I expected. So much happened in part 14 that I even decided to copy sections of the story which I thought were of great significance. This is so that I could possibly bring them up during the discussion.

Anyway:

Things look very interesting! Dash and Sparkle made their decisions and devised some plans, while Rarity and Applejack stick with theirs. This might turn ugly if they will fight with each other. I wonder what's on Dash's mind, she went to see the Captain Dash. I'm glad that she's alive, but she got hit pretty hard.

The possibility of Rarity and Applejack fighting each other didn't occur to me. I personally don't see them coming to blows in the next part to be honest, although I'm interested to know what will happen between them.

As for what's on Dash's mind, I believe she's just thinking about how she should go about talking to the captain, let alone trying to convince her to join them in the fight against Trixie.

Sadly, New Ponyville lost two more valuable members. They fought bravely. And death by fire is a gruesome way to go. The other pegasus might still be alive, but she lost her wing.
Dash beating the fire wielding pony beyond death was scary.
And the Warrant Officer got away...

That was probably the most graphic scene in the story so far. Reading that some of the ponies were getting charred to death was one thing, but reading the part where Dash is beating the 🤬 out of that Royal Guard pony reminded me of a gruesome scene from a particularly violent movie that I haven't seen in a while.

I don't know what happened to the other pegasus pony though. She did lose one of her wings, but apart from that piece of information, I'm not sure what happened to her.

Nightmare Moon suspects Trixie. She has thoughts, that Trixie might want to take her place on the throne, and she personally wants to see New Ponyville!

I don't think Nightmare Moon actually wants to see New Ponyville. I believe she said that just to see how Trixie would react, and she reacted in a way that made Nightmare Moon suspicious.

I'm not too surprised that Nightmare Moon suspects Trixie though. The fact that she told Nightmare Moon that she would rather deal with the resistance herself is the main reason why she suspects Trixie's motives.

I did get slightly confused when the fight was going on. Had some trouble understanding who attacked who, but it's clear now.

That part confused me as well for the same reason:

I had to go back and re-read sections of that fight scene just to understand who was getting attacked. I get the gist of what happened now though.

To be fair, it may be (and probably is) a combination of the two. Ask Wiegert: Going into the Dunlop Chicane on the second lap, I passed him on the outside going sideways, covering the track with smoke.

Next week we can do a 400 race with Kei cars. I made an awesome Derpy one.

There was nothing else to be found really,I was trying to get some good pics but DevianArt and Ponychan went into humanization mode(In fact,shipping pony-humanization mode).

Anyway just to share that thought,also this thought:

I have to say that is fantastic,just awesome,someone managed to stylized properly the architectural mess that Canterlot is.

Well 🤬. I was thinking about writing a fan-fic today. Still not sure if I will, and I though, "you know what I haven't seen yet; A screen play format for a story" and then, this.

Also, I've got work tomorrow, and I should probably get to sleep, but 🤬 that because TNTNE should update on ED soon.


Damn, today has been a busy one on ED.

I would pay ludicrous amounts of cash to have both of those cars in that paint scheme.

I could see it now, I'd pull up to a stop sign and here:

You see, I'm torn. I woke up at 6:30 this morning. I'm tired, my leg hurts, and I'm not sure how much I'll be able to even grasp in the story; especially if the chapter is a long one.

On the other hand, tomorrow I'm going to a party and I don't want to be depressed if the chapter turns out Chapter 8 sad. And I feel, if crazy stuff goes down, that I should read it and then sleep on it.

And, most importantly, its 🤬 TNTNE. I feel like I have to stay up.





I've basically decided that if it doesn't go up at the 11PM update in a few minutes, I'm probably gonna call it a night. Nightfall at Sweet Apple Acres just updated (and there's no way in hell that I'm going to read that before I go to bed, even if the latest chapter is only about Rarity, because I enjoy being able to sleep at night), so it probably won't update before I give up.




Edit: Nope. 11PM update was a shipping story (Rarijack? Jackity?). One that I'll probably get to as soon as I clear out the 12 other tabs of stories I have to read (not counting Macintosh), but its not TNTNE. What I'll do is I'll wake up extra early in the morning and see if its there then. If it isn't, I'll spend the hours burning through those tabs to try to get caught up. Nightfall at Sweet Apple Acres is probably going to require a comedy to complement it, so I'll make sure to sort through the tabs to find one.

Long is an understatement. It took me a good while to read part 14, in fact, I lost track of the time because I spent so much time reading it, plus I had to go back and re-read certain parts of the story in order to fully understand what was happening. I've only just realised how late it is where I am, so I'll probably get some sleep soon.


@MintBerryCrunch, what kind of fanfic are you thinking about writing? I have an idea for one myself actually, although I haven't given it much thought in the past day or so.

Eh, I might get hit with a wall of tired. I'm kind of hyped up right now on account of almost getting in a high speed accidents twice on the way home.
People need to learn what "Yield" means.

So I'll probably become really tired in the next 20 minutes. If that happens, I'll think about waiting until tomorrow. For now, though.

@MintBerryCrunch, what kind of fanfic are you thinking about writing? I have an idea for one myself actually, although I haven't given it much though in the past day or so.

Not too sure. I was thinking something sci-fi. Not really a Star Trek, Star Wars, or Halo type thing, but I'll probably borrow a few ideas from each of those universes. Still not sure I'll do it. Tomorrow I might open up a document and jot down some notes and see where I can go with a basic structure for the story. Just some note about what characters I might have, or what the technology will be like, time period, those sort of thing. If I can get something I'm happy with, I'll try to develop it into a story. And depending on how those notes look, I'll decide whether I want to go for the basic story format, or the screen play type story.

Again, big "if" there, because I might not be able to get myself as motivated tomorrow as I am right now. It could just turn out the same way as that PMV I was trying. I've never written any real story that wasn't a half-assed class project, so I'm not sure what I'm in for.

EDIT: Wait....that sounds a lot like the story Jim Prower was talking about a while ago....dammit.
Whatever, the sci-fi thing is still only my initial idea. I'll think of more stuff before I even start coming up with any details.


EDIT: For now, I don't feel like thinking, I'm tired and I'll probably call it a night soon. I won't read TNTNE until after work though. I'd rather not have that on my mind while I work.

That's all,I don't have anything to discuss about TNTNE but I will say that the guy follows a very solid storytelling structure(which,in my opinion has worked thus far),I don't know how to describe it,but there is a lot that can be learn from that fanfic,specially for people who wants to write fanfics.

I wasn't expecting to see female Royal Guards, I think that distracted me.

Also, I see some people say this chapter is a long one. I think it has a perfect length. I like the after taste, It's like I watched a movie. And now it's over. And we discuss and wait patiently for the next part.
