@Coffee, I had some (read lots) of free time at work yesterday. I attempted to read chapter 15 of Allegrezza... I couldn't keep my eyes open. Your story mustn't be very interesting.

I also read the VST, what they did to prince douche.
I'm looking forward to the next chapter now, I want to see what will happen with the new show.

So. I read that OctaScratch story that went up a week ago. Didn't like it, really. The pacing is jittery, the language is too strong (not that I'm averse to that by nature, obviously, but it just doesn't seem right based on the content of the story), and the story also feels really same-y, having similar ideas and tone to what Allegrezza did but not really doing them as well (such as a scene where Octavia mocks Vinyl's booze choices).

I'm also not really a fan of the characterization the author gave Vinyl. Octavia acts basically the way in this story as she does in VST (which I prefer to her Allegrezza characterization); but Vinyl acts a lot like Octavia does in Allegrezza, only she seems to be mean for the sake of being mean rather than just mean because she is haughty. Because of that, I can't really think of either of them even being friends with each other based on how the author wrote them, let alone characters to be shipped.




The driving narrative of the story is a pretty nifty idea (Octavia's manager ropes Vinyl into producing an album for Octavia), but otherwise it just didn't grab me. Probably won't follow it any more.

Heaven help me, but I actually really like most of the anthro stuff I've seen done by ss2sonic. The more I look at that Rarity one, though, the more it kind of weirds me out. I probably wouldn't have posted it now that I've had the time to think about it.

I quite like that style of humanised pony. And I on't think that anthro Rarity is too bad, but many of ss2sonic's drawings are better in my opinion.


And even though I never considered reading that other VinylTavia fanfic (it was called Remix, right?), it's interesting to see what someone thought about it.

So I'm feeling nauseous, plus I have a really sore throat, and now I have to deal with the imminent heart attack caused by that image.

Well, it was the truth because I didn't want to get caught up in the ponies and end up being tired as 🤬 all day tomorrow because we're going to our new neighbors for dinner tomorrow and I work really early.


EDIT: But then I realized I was powerless against the ponies.

I know what that's from, and I wouldn't have even considered posting an image referring to that tumblr in this thread.

I love that sweater, it accentuates her adorkability.

I can understand why she, or any Unicorn for that matter, would need a hole in that hat for the horn to go through, but having holes for the ears seems a little strange to me.

That will always be my reaction whenever someone refers to his drawings (that one Twilight image in particular).


And Akira, what's wrong with Twilight's plot in brianblackberry's drawings? I'd really like to know.

That story was hilarious. The relationship will almost certainly fail within a week (albeit it an off-and-on thing), but the way that they got there was quite a laugh.




I was thinking about doing some races tomorrow. I'm sure the turnout it going to be pretty low, but it is what it is.
