I suck so bad at Brawl. And, since I haven't played it in forever, Melee.

I used to play tournament Melee back in the day during the first years of the game's release; my friends and I pretty much got the ball rolling on an actual organized gaming scene here in PR. After a while though, the gaming community became extremely petty, divisive, and all-around poisonous and unpleasant, and whenever I wanted to Smash with my friends, it was more hardcore training session that just a fun pick-up match. Games like Soulcalibur 2, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, GG, BlazBlue, none of them ever really mattered to the tournament scene here of if they did, they never had lasting impact, because if you're not playing MvC2, then you're worthless. Same thing for shooters; Team Fortress 2 and Battlefield are unknown here, but Halo derps and CoD herps are a half-cent a million.

Needless to say, the tourneyf:censored:s turned me off completely from competitive gaming ever again, and now I embrace Brawl and its purposely-casual mechanics.

That reminds me, my friend still owes me a few Tekken 6 matches that he was planning to do the other night, although he might want to reconsider the original idea that he had in mind (down a shot of Jager whenever someone loses a fight). Basically, I drink after every fight, seeing as I'm no match for him.

However, if the game in question was, say, GT5 for example, then I'll bet that not a single drop of "Friendship Lubricant" would even come close to my mouth

TF2 is truly an amazing game. Pity you lumped Halo with CoD, though.

Welcome to my world, although I managed to rank pretty high(5th) in a national COD4 tournament a few years ago, then I ranked 8th in a national FM2 tournament*. But then Gears of War happened everywhere, and that is something that I simply cannot stand, I got out skilled in MW2 and FM tournaments were never to be done again (not even FM4 and that is way more popular than FM2).

Then surprise surprise there are only FIFA 12, GoW3 and Halo reach tournaments, is just an stupid horrible world.

(*I lost any chances of wining in Silverstone, is quite interesting because I attended the semi finals with a bit of a hangover, then I lead the first 3/5 laps to then screw it up in the penultimate corner, then the other guy overtook me and I lost my chances, I struggled and I manage to get 2 secs behind him after giving him the lead by 10 secs, it was a 250 participants competition and the winning prize was a Renault Twingo, they gave me a copy of the game, which I like but I shouldn't have drink that weekend, that was like 3 or 4 years ago).[/Memories]

Oh, I'm sure some other fanfic would have filled that gap if Allegrezza was never conceived because of Vinyl's nonexistence.

I'm neither of those. I'm actually the kind of Halo gamer that happened to get Halo 3 bundled with the 20GB 360, but didn't really care much for the game and hasn't bought any other title in the series.

I had played a lot with my friends since Halo 2, we also played CE a lot after that, but I didn't own a console outside of an N64 or Wii until late '08, so 3 was the first one I actually owned.
