I'm not really sure about what he meant, I thought that he could not write as much anymore, which is one of the reasons for him to end HoG prematurely(this is my assumption based on what he said in the comments), I guess that I'll be looking forward to that, but the whole thing leaves me a bit confused.

And for the record, I'm in the middle of Chapter 9A, is quite long actually.

As I understand it, he was always going to finish Summer Days. It's just that he decided for whatever personal reason that he wasn't going to do Vermächtnis Suche, the bajillion chapter epic that would have been the final bookend for the saga and came immediately after Heart of Gold in the original ending for it.

Only now he said that there is a chance that he might, which is practically a Christmas gift by itself; even if I have to wait until next Christmas to get it.

I was kind of thinking of starting that up in our little group, with a twist - Make it a co-op campagn, two teams, "Team Cewestia" and "Team Woona." and it's not on the moon. It's on a seemingly lifeless dirtball.

Yes, they'll have to make Equestria from scratch!

and...it'll be text rather than drawn.

That could be fun, but I'll need to look at the tumblr before I can make a decision. Also how would it work? Is it like a competition where we fight to get the world working or do we work together? And all those other questions I can't think of right now.

I don't consider a successful kiss to be one where you ended up looking like you stabbed yourself in the face when you break away from it.

Like you were ever going to read Heart of Gold anyway. If a kiss scene played partially for humor 10 chapters into a story with probably the best OC characters ever committed to Pony fiction is gonna scare you away, your loss.
