Didn't get a chance to hear this earlier, but having listened to it I can say that there is a clear impovement over the original mix, although Impressions of Celestia Origins is still his best and most emotional piece to date (just my opinion). His other non-pony related track, Bad Juju, is a brilliant piece as well. It sounds like a proper boss battle theme.
Deae Lunae also sounds kinda similar to Undiscovered Colours by The Flashbulb, albeit more epic and less gitchy.

Oh. I see what you did there. That was not from Coffe[e]Grunt. It was from Toro! I know for sure this is a joke. First it's the avatar, now this?
At least I know how this started. First somebody, forget who, posted the pic. Saying it was adorable, I decided to use it as my avatar. Then after a while, I changed it to yawning Discord or something. Then CoffeeGrunt claimed it. I then switched back to it, but after claiming use of it, Coffee politely asked me to stop. So I temporarily changed to Twilight Sparkle. Then Wiegert was mad about my saying of the yes, and wanted me to change back as a joke. So I did. And then suddenly we all have it. Talk about plot holes. And I don't even KNOW how the "replace with CoffeGrunt" quote thing started. Nor do I know about the Dark Slate Gray ALL the posts started.

Quick question. Let's say I accidentally Cerebus Syndrome'd the Ballad for about four pages, but just for those four pages... Would I have jumped the shark?

Well, I'm certainly skeptical; because admittedly the only thing I can think of is "Trixie does something astoundingly Trixie-like and Twilight BSoDs;" and that seemed kinda played out in "Trixie Returns!" stories before it was even used.

Oh don't worry, nothing to do with Trixie or Twi. Hell, in this universe, Trixie's parents and grandparents are alive and she didn't even live in poverty or anything. I'm emphatically avoiding giving her anything too dark as a background.

I wouldn't worry about it.
And this behind closed doors Ballad discussion has got me intrigued, along with the idea that the story will turn more serious and dramatic for a few pages in one of the future chapters.

So I just found out that NotACleverPony had to drop out of the whole Pony thing due to medical issues....in November. I now feel very sad. Nearly shed a tear while reading the journal on his DA.

Yeah, I read about that a month ago. It's a real shame, and I can only wish all the best to him.
Anyway:
I know the artist was trying to create motion effects with Rarity's legs, but it just looks like they're broken to me. Apart from that little niggle, it's a great piece.
