Pretty much this.

Thanks everyone! Cheers

Sounds like a good time.

Glad you had fun.

I had fun but I've got too much going on this week to get drunk for the first time. Just a quick Crown and coke and back to work I go ;)

p.s. I'm honored to share a birthday with ponies.

A sad moment when one your favourite Brony musicians releases his last original ever. :(

I wish him luck in his future in the Army.

My question is this (not accusing or deriding anything, just asking):

What drives a boy/man to watch the show? I mean, if I ever got into it when I was little, I would've likely been derided, shamed, etc; (Coming from a small town, people aren't used to it, y'know?).

The simple fact that it's enjoyable.
I like to watch it because like any other show I watch, be it Spongebob, South Park, or NASCAR, I just genuinely enjoy it.

I saw it one day and I was like, "Hmm, I'm bored, I wonder just how dumb this show is." Saw a few seconds of parasprites destroying the town, and it was way better than I had imagined.

Then after seeing pictures and avatars, I decided to see what all the fuss was about, and after an episode I realized that I liked it, no real "drive" to watch it, it's just a fun show.

Well, I sort of just stumbled on it. I followed a link that Minty posted one day, I didn't know where it went, it was in a thread. And it took me to a clip and I thought it was funny. So I watched some more and KAPLONK!!! I watched an episode. That's what drove me to do it, it was accidental but I'm so much happier for it. When you see some of it you realize it's actually a full on good show, good animation, good voice acting, the lot. When you see some of that you get hooked.

And then there is this which is simply hilarious.

Understandable, but (maybe it's just the town I grew up in) within the people I know, if someone tried spreading it around, they would be seen as an undesirable, loser, or weirdo. Problem is, from where I live, if someone sees a boy/man watching a colorful, say "girly" tv show, they would be derided. Guarenteed.

That's normal, most of us here have probably had that at one point or another, for me luckily I act really silly so they sort of just assume, "he's just being himself" when I talk about ponies. I'm like Pinkie Pie in that aspect, who just does things so strange and random, that all other life forms just expect it. :P

I can totally understand what you are saying, my town wouldn't be as bad I think, but it's still "A bunch of white kids from Fergus" as my teacher calls it. (Farmers, redneck etc.)

When I first started watching I was so scared if my parents saw me watching it, but now I'm getting my parents to print off CD Pony album covers, sharing it with some friends etc.

After a while, and being around it a lot, you start to realize that it's just something that you like, and that you have no huge reason to hide it.

If people hate ignore them. If you give them no attention then they just look like an ignorant bigot.

It doesn't work that way in real life, no matter if they are ignorant it still means something.

I haven't run into any really bad haters. Some of my friends poke fun, but they're my friends so it doesn't really matter.

Although if there was somebody that was hating really bad, I'd have no problems getting confrontational with them. I watch it so what, if you have a problem then do something about it, or try to at least...

Why I keep my tyre iron on my passenger seat. Just incase I get the type that wants to be hands on. I will happily take someone to Equestria by bashing them in the head.

I think that if you were in a town that had people with the mindset that they wanted to kill you for watching MLP, then you better drive off real fast.

I wasn't liked much in school so the MLP thing doesn't help with the punks that haven't matured since school.

Ah, it won't help now, but in school you have to get integrated into a group very early on, makes it WAY easier to go through school.

For example, my friends were showing my other friend pics of my before I shaved, and then the day after when I came to school in a suit, and they saw my Facebook profile pic. (Which is my GTP avatar.)
They asked "Is that a pony?" and I told them yes, "My little pony", they were like, "What?", and I said "Yeah, pretty cool show.", they were a bit confused but then we just went on about how I looked like a terrorist before.

Tom, did you not see that Logan posted Applelicious on the previous page? (Not that I have a problem with that...).

That goes for me as well. One of my friends was going on about Brony groups appearing at his uni, and that he was a hater (albeit jokingly) because he either never liked the people in those groups, or another reason I know nothing about. That was also the moment I mentioned that I too was a Brony, but I mainly just discussed a few things about the show with a few of them. Turns out I wasn't the only one who thought it was appealing, plus I can talk to a few others about it who have some knowledge on the show, but that just extends to the more popular pony sub-memes and show characters.

However, I was teased a little after one friend told everyone else that I came round wearing a Rainbow Dash shirt, but it was friendly banter really. I just keep telling them that I might wear such a shirt next time I see them.

Whoa... you used to look like one of my older cousins, but with glasses. I haven't seen him in years though, so his appearance may have changed.

Well now I'm in the best group. The Brony group. *hugs everypony*

I vaguely remember you posting in here more regularly about a year ago, so welcome back, I guess. I sincerely hope that you don't revert to you old posting habits.

Looks like this guy wanted to finish the last 3 sets before uploading them simultaneously. Rarity's set is Best set though, obviously.

It appears that more season 3 info has been leaked in the past few hours.

So far they've revealed some interesting new episode details, villain names and confirmation of a return to past locations in Equestria rarely used until now.
Video footage of the screening was uploaded too, but the clip was just over a minute long.

If you don't like spoilers, then DON'T click those links. I just hope the first episode is better than some expect it to be.
