^^ I've pretty much given up on the xbox / FM series after that lackluster E3 (just mad catz and Fanatec are not ideal). I did put in FM3 and just play with a controller to participate in that nice FM vs GT thread 👍

Unable to comment on physics though-- since the controller is far from ideal :grumpy:

^ That is a shame mate. My Xbox wireless wheel was my first ever wheel.
3yrs old and still works fine.

A lot of people bashed that wheel but for £60 I had a lot of fun with it and got me into the more serious wheels.

On topic.

If PC was an option for me I may have purchased the TM.

Well, ideally, I would have had both T500RS & Fanatec GT2. After buying my t500rs I still had an outstanding order with Fanatec but gave up around late April or so and used that money instead to buy a wheelstand, etc 👍

Still hoping against all reason Thrustmaster decides to give those guys some competition 👍

Do you mean Thrustmaster isn't competing with Fanatec, or that they WON'T be able to compete when CSR Elite comes out?

My bad, to be clear I don't think TM is competing with Fanatec for xbox 360 wheel sales. Perhaps they have some data they analyze that indicates it's not worth investing into that market to sustain their strategy / technology... Microsoft really screwed over us consumers by going with their proprietary XID technology in my opinion. There's just no excuse for the poor state of affairs on the xbox 360

Funny thing is at least once a month I get tempted to at least order the Fanatec CSPs..... Was trying to give Perfect Pedal makers a chance to mod the t500rs pedals :guilty:

Fanatec...
@GainSym

I looked at the posts you made and it seems that you are another Thrustmaster employee. Right?

It's amusing to see that you guys get nervous ;)

But be prepared that are more surprises to come.

Less talk more work. ;)

Seriously get that unit done, make me spend more money!!!

Please show us the evidence when you make such allegations as above.

I don't see anything in his posts that paint him as anything other than an enthusiastic T500 RS owner. If you're going to accuse Thrustmaster of astroturfing you'd better have solid proof. I also think it's something that doesn't need to be aired publicly, especially since it's alleged, not proven.

Take this as constructive criticism, Thomas. I'm a fan of you and your products, but I worry that sometimes you let your emotions get the best of you.

It's a pure assumption. But there are several good indicators (just look at when the profile was created, where he posts and what he posts) and they have a track record of doing that. I even discovered a TM guy playing with our wheel at E3 and he was embarrassed that I knew him. I mean there is absolutely nothing wrong with testing our wheel or writing in a forum. But why hiding? They bring good information to the users here and should do that officially so everybody knows what is going on.

@Owensracing
Now back to work...:)

Wow looking at GainSims post history is creepy.

Not a accusing anyone mind but if you are a serious gamer into racing games, that is some strange stuff right there.

A lot of companies don't want people talking in an official capacity. for some reason you seem really level headed but I'm sure you wouldn't want a hot headed employee hoping on public forums, representing Fanatec, and telling off people. I can't speak for your company but "if" I ran one, I wouldn't want just any random employee popping up in the public eyes representing my company

I find it interesting how you are forthcoming about these matters yet you refuse to answer simple questions like when CSR wheels will be available, will they be out of stock, etc. Seriously, FM4 is around the corner. People want need to know things ahead of time so we can make important decisions on how to allocate our money for these things.

You never know, even a major skeptic like myself might be willing to give Fanatec another shot. I gave you my order # when I tried ordering before so you should know I'm for real about this stuff

* Maybe that is off topic but for real in the Fanatec E3 thread you could leak out some info. It's only fair, since you showed the wheels off at E3 in the 1st place. You coulda just remained back in the scenes if the product isn't ready for orders

@sandbox. Dude you should know by now, Xbox is primarily for shooters and now waving your hands in the air. Everything else is an afterthought.

My settings on DIRT 3 - PC version:
Dirt_3%20pc.jpg

* Inside CPL, Wheel rotation at 1080°
60457404.jpg

and all forces at Maximum:
18219462.jpg

* Inside game, configure Wheel like this:
(with no Dead-zone, Saturation at 100% & Linearity at 0%)
33414492.jpg

and ForceFeedback like this:

(with Vibration at 100%, Strength at 100% & Weight at 0%)
83092207.jpg

Result is awesome    (but Warning this setting is really not for children especially during drift: Wheel turns at incredible speed )

LMAO! Waving your hands in the air... couldn't stop laughing after that one :D

I got the PS3 version. Pretty solid FFB. Going to get the PC ver as well though at some point whenever I get the 3dtv

Replacement "T500 RS BASIS ONLY IN WHITE BOX" arrived yesterday.

Hooked it up this morning, played GT5 for a couple of hours, so far so good -- going to run some errands and hopefully it will fire up again later today!

The Red Bull X1 is actually drivable using this wheel...

Unless you have something definite such as a post where he declared that he worked for Thrustmaster or an affiliate I would suggest not making such allegations in the future in public. It is very unprofessional and does not reflect good on the Fanatec company (imho, ommv). If anyone does make negative comments about your products just stick the facts in your rebuttal. Fanatec has wondeful products and all you need to do is to tell the public!
:)

Haven't been following this thread real close, but any sign of a manual shifter or anything yet?

Negative.

I beginning to think we may never see a shifter. Pffft June came and went. I really miss the 6spd from the G27.

Please, release this unit this month. We plead and beg of you.

I just realised why I'm gonna buy the T500RS.
You are gonna laugh SO much at me.
The new wheels that are coming out from Fanatec are all Xbox compatible right, or atleast the Elite version which means I will have to pay around 70 extra for something I wont use.
What is your thought on this?
