Yes because I like FM3 (carlist) too... I can drive cars and tracks in FM3 wich we will never get in GT...

Ah, I see. Yeah, the only options are to pay a LOT, or go without Xbox 360 support. Or maybe just grab the low-rent Microsoft wheel used, just so you have something.

I find $500, even without a shifter totally outrageous. For that money I can literally buy a PS3, GT5 Collectors Edition AND a DFGT wheel. Nice for the high-end people with racing seats and whatnot maybe but I don't think this is gonna be a big seller.

Thomas from Fanatec is a good guy, lets see if we can persuade him to drop his prices. How much was the PWTS + CSP? Because he should match that price.

Yeah but we are from different countries...

Also, as I said, it´s a shame that the GT2 set costs 500€ in the EU and 370€ in the US... Do we **** money or why is this so?

If Thomas can make that price for the EU (at least for us) too, than I can think about it to get that GT2 wheel... 350€ sounds ok...

Looks like it is a quality product.
I am planning to by a cockpit setup from either Obutto or Playseat in the next few months.
I love that the pedals can be put in the hung position without the modification necessary for the Logitech series.
I was going to mount my G25, but if this GT wheel comes with a H-shifter I might just plunk down the money for it. Of course, no shifter = no sale.

It has no shifter included.

The EU-price includes VAT. US price doesn't include VAT

Hmm the new Fanatec blows the Thrustmaster away in ffb strength.
TM: Industrial motor force feedback (150 mNm torque, 3000 rpm, 65 W, 52mm)
Fanatec: Stall Torque 498.2 mN-m, No Load RPM 19300, 96 W, 36mm

Ah ok thx for the answer 👍

Yeah we pay so much taxes here, that is insane... So they can buy more jet fighters for trillions and other stuff... :ouch:

The Joint Strike Fighter? The Dutch government is losing on it and they still want to go on.👎 German government might be the same.

Back in the day TM made fantastic products...all high end high quality stuff. I still have a couple of their early sticks, as well as the FLCS, TQS, and RCS.

They then got bought out by Guillemot and start producing CRAP.

After some time, they started to come back to the high end market and release the COUGAR HOTAS unit. I actually owned one of the first runs and had a numbered set. (Stick and throttle).

It worked OK. Sure, the stick and everything was metal (buttons too) but the internals were not really all that hot and to get it really dialed in required another $300-500 dollars to replace the gimbal, pots, with 3rd party quality parts.

I'd wait for some hands on reviews before just jumping at this.

Just returned my G27 to best buy. My girlfriend ordered it for me and it came today. Ended up going there today and returned it and picked up a DFGT instead. Figured this would hold me over under some hands on reviews of the T500 come out, then I can decide on which high end wheel to buy. And the girlfriend is excited because the DFGT will be hers to use.

Hmm
Also Fanatec comes with a new wheel. This time the 911 GT2.
Costs $500 with Clubsport pedals. And you get a shifter..

And it's also compatible with XBOX360[/QUOTE]

Ya but its kind of really ironic using a Porsche wheel to play a game that hasnt a single one in it.... Just looking at the wheel while playing GT is enough to get some in a bad mood.

@vernSL Win-Win for the win.

What a second guys, doesn't the g27 sell for 450 in Japan while it sells 300 dollars in US. What I am saying is that the new 500 rs will not be 500 dollar US.

It will be a price close to the g27 wheel but just without the shifter. ( IN US)

It might cost 400 dollars US with the shifter included

Unless the brake uses load cell, otherwise it is weak especially if they don't come with H-Shift and probably not a multi platform wheel. I own all the GT wheels since GT3, but probably not this one.

Looks like Fanatec had a better package for the same price.

Well Logitech done it this time. Shooting themselves in the foot, becuse of their support for PC sim racing wheels. If you are to blame anyone for the G25/G27 not being fully supported in GT5. Blame Logitech! KY wanted a new wheel for GT5 and from what Swerv-Griffin from the TRPA told us after SEMA. I expected a new wheel manufacturer for a higher quality wheel.

Looks good, if it's not much more than the G27 I'll go with it. G27 isn't available in stores anymore so I have to pay $480 on ebay(au) for one. If this is around the same price it seems like a better deal even if I'd have to pay more for the shifter.

BB is still selling G27? I thought they stopped carrying them a while ago? I picked up the last ones I have ever seen in my BB a while back for $150...

Looks nice, but I don't like the way the paddle shifters look. They just seem oversized and awkward. Also, the $500 price tag is outrages and it doesn't even come with the H Shifter!! I'd probably just buy the G27 which is half the price for the full package!

Just by looks I think the steering wheel looks cool. Sleek product.

$500? even if it gets converted to US currency, maybe $400? who knows. For that price i think everyone will be more satisfied with a fanatec with clubsport pedals.

Think this new wheel is a little to bogus for me. Cash cow.

Is there any reason the G25/G27 doesn't have options integrated into the GT5 options? is it because they aren't an official Gran Turismo/Polyphony product?

If it's:

  • compatible with all recent and new race games
  • FFB shifter :D
  • ABS brake pedal with a load cell/pressure sensor/hydraulic brake
  • removable steering wheel
  • very accurate
  • economical price

I'll concider it; after I read tons of reviews and the wheel is at least half a year on the market.
