Having a read through the thread, and see there were a couple of car additions. Are these vital, or can I just run the Camaro in the 1st race, then either Aston or Mazza in the 2nd?

Yeah, I'd say those car choices would do for this race. Remember to change the oil.
I don't suppose Pcars has any magic oil?

lol, no, no magic oil. Doesn't even feel like you "own" the cars either, just getting a shot of them for a bit.

Cool half 8 it is, i'll be on for a practice before hand if anyone is around. I vaguely remember visiting the scenery often at Bongoville.

Yeah, I can confirm it's the Camaro in the first, and the car for the next race will depend on where you finish with that BB. I can highly recommend practice
